Gathering

A kind voice teases at the edge of your hearing until you can make out, "The hosted speaker is beginning the talk on Beasts, Monsters, and Legends at Silverwood Manor promptly." The last syllable is clipped as if the owner of the voice is hurrying away.

[Silverwood Manor, Map Room]
The curving walls of this room are painted with an intricate mural that depicts the sprawling world of Elanthia. A circular couch scattered with soft pillows sits in an outward-facing fashion, allowing one to view the mural while relaxing. Overhead, an elaborate light fixture illuminates both the mural and the room. A mithglin sign has been affixed to the interior side of a massive stone doorway. You also see the Chemaine disk, the vivid crimson Darkkstormmer disk etched with a gold-traced wyvern, a silver-traced carved mahogany cart with some stuff on it and a beribboned flower basket.
Also here: Lord Chamorr, Sir Cryheart who is sitting, Meril, Mentor Alifair, Mentor Silverthorne, Mentor Geijon who is sitting, Great Lord Siggurd who is sitting, Mistress Chemaine, Vultieri, Mentor Siierra who is sitting, Akenna who is sitting, Jaysehn who is sitting, Mentor Darkkstormmer
Obvious exits: none

You say, "Please, feel free to grab something to eat or drink from on the cart."

You announce, "Hello, everyone!"

You say, "It's time for us to begin."

Chemaine turns toward you and renders you a sharp salute with her warm elven brandy.

Jaysehn turns to face you.

Akenna walks over to the couch and settles down.

You say, "Please grab something to eat and drink and make yourself comfortable."

You grin at Akenna.

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

Jaysehn glances at a circular couch.

Jaysehn walks over to the couch and settles down.

You say, "I draw your attention to this mural."

You point at an intricate mural.

>l mural
Starting just left of the doorway and circling the room to end on the opposite edge of the door frame is a detailed floor-to-ceiling depiction of Elanthia. From Teras, to the Dragonspine Mountains, to the Elven cities, the rich colors and skill of the artist result in a beautiful and functional piece of art. Each city on the map that also houses Silverwood Manor is painted with a miniature manor house. An elaborate compass rose graces the eastern ocean, centered amid depictions of mythical water beasts.
There appears to be something written on it.

>read mural
In the Common language, it reads:
~Commissioned by the Mentor Council, Spring 5108~

Siggurd pours himself a cup of warm sylvan tea.

You say, "I will be referencing it at times."

Siggurd takes a drink from his warm sylvan tea.

You nod once.

Chemaine adopts an agreeable expression.

Siggurd plops down to the ground in a sitting position.

Akenna gazes thoughtfully at an intricate mural.

Geijon becomes solid again.

Introduction

You state, "Welcome, everyone, back to Beasts, Monsters, and Legends. In previous events we 'met' kobolds, vereri, reivers, krolvin, kiramon, hobgoblins, roa'ters, three golems - night, bone, and crystal, and Mistydeep sirens. Tonight we will be traveling to the Sea of Fire and exploring an Ur-Daemon-corrupted Luukosian temple. Find your loosely woven clothes and prepare yourself for a mental journey through a dry, sandy, and extraordinarily hot wasteland."

You dryly recite, "Per my usual routine, I will walk you through the habitat of the creatures then describe them and their mannerisms, talk about their abilities and skills, talk about the treasure you'll find if you dare hunt them, and, when applicable, share any tidbits I may know about their history. At the end, I will ask you to share any experiences you have had and ask questions."

You continue, "Please also feel free to ask questions, talk to each other, tease, and add your reactions throughout this shared adventure. This is an open discussion, and I'd rather you contribute than fall asleep and snore."

You seriously say, "Please do not snore."

Chemaine snickers.

You say, "It hurts my feelings and then I might encourage a Fire Spirit to wake you up."

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

You grin mischievously.

Akenna swirls her warm sylvan tea gently in her hand, and a wisp of fragrant steam rises from the warm liquid.

Jaysehn blinks.

You wiggle your fingers.

Jaysehn takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Starting in Solhaven

You continue, "Imagine if you will that we are all standing in the sweltering Freeport of Solhaven wrinkling our nose at the scent of fish and sulfurous marsh, and we are discussing if there is anything else that we want to do other than go investigate a den of Luukosians that was corrupted by the Eye of Goseth, a piece of an Ur-Daemon that was brimming full of power that no Arkati could penetrate."

Darcena smiles at each person in turn, her eyes lighting up with unholy glee.

Siierra takes a drink from her Seafarer's vodka.

Chemaine quietly says, "Oh, it does smell over there."

You wink at Chemaine.

You wryly say, "Perhaps we had been adding a lot of vodka to the lemon ice at Gertie's Flavored Ices."

You point at a glass of Seafarer's vodka on a silver-traced carved mahogany cart.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Darkkstormmer bursts out in a resounding cheer!

Darkkstormmer says, "I mean."

Darkkstormmer ducks his head.

You gaze in wonder at your surroundings.

You say, "No? What about some Krolvin grog or dwarven stout from Spirits of the Delta? You can't go wrong with something from Lem."

Chemaine giggles at Darkkstormmer.

You point at a bottle of dwarven stout on a silver-traced carved mahogany cart.

You whisper aloud, "What are you drinking?"

You pour yourself a bottle of dwarven stout.

You take a drink from your dwarven stout. You detect a hint of molasses in the hearty brew.
You feel tension draining away, giving way to a very relaxed state.
You have 5 quaffs left.

Siggurd takes a drink from his warm sylvan tea.

You raise your dwarven stout in a toast!

Geijon ponders.

Silverthorne folds his arms over his chest.

You give a sidelong glance at Silverthorne.

Geijon pours himself a snifter of warm elven brandy.

Geijon takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Geijon nods.

Chemaine pours herself a snifter of warm elven brandy.

Speaking to Silverthorne, you ask, "You don't need to drink in order to investigate an Ur-Daemon corrupted temple?"

Speaking quietly to her warm elven brandy, Chemaine says, "You be lovely."

You take a drink from your dwarven stout. You detect a hint of molasses in the hearty brew.
You have 4 quaffs left.

Darkkstormmer takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

You say, "Well, whatever it was and despite some protests, we decide that's exactly what we're going to do. As we are chatting, we discuss that there are two ways to get to and from the Sanctum of the Scales. One way involves traveling by caravan from the Vornavis Caravansary to Tiruz's Caravans location at the Kanchoco Oasis."

Darkkstormmer put a scrollworked illthorn runestaff topped with a small black dragon with emerald green eyes in his wand harness.

Silverthorne says, "I prefer to keep me wits about me."

You grin at Silverthorne.

You continue, "I tell you about the Oasis and how it seems like a lovely place to visit with a fresh pool of water surrounded by fragrant sage and the sound of myriad tiny croaking frogs. I casually ask you if you've ever been to such an oasis."

You listen, but don't hear anything unusual.

Time drags on by...
Roundtime: 2 sec.

Chemaine quietly says, "Good heavens, Sanctum of the Scales? Ya would need me to drink a lot and then drag me there."

You flash a quick grin at Chemaine.

Vultieri attempts to hum a merry little tune.

You say, "...And I continue to hear crickets as no one wants to admit to ever visiting an oasis."

(Darcena glances expectantly at everyone in the crowd.)

Siggurd shakes his head.

As Chemaine shakes her head, small flakes of ash fall slowly toward the ground.

Akenna raises her hand.

Jaysehn glances around the room.

Jaysehn asks, "Are we supposed to answer?"

You exclaim, "Yes!"

Chemaine quietly asks, "Scary crickets with fangs?"

You gaze heavenward.

Akenna says, "We have."

Jaysehn nods.

Speaking to you, Geijon says, "Just th' Sanctum of Souls one."

Jaysehn says, "Oh..yes. We have."

Akenna says, "Jaysehn and I."

Your face lights up with joy for Akenna.

You nod at Geijon.

Vultieri asks, "There are really oasisses?"

Chemaine quietly says, "I have."

You ask, "Oh good, is it as I've described?"

Chemaine scoffs.

You cock your head.

Akenna says, "Yes."

Jaysehn nods.

Jaysehn says, "Just so."

Darcena smiles to herself.

You say, "See, I do not lie."

You nod once.

Darkkstormmer walks over to the couch and settles down.

Siierra nods.

Jaysehn says, "Though...you left out the very sketchy caravan masters."

You say, "I listen carefully to everything you say, but then mention that the journey to the oasis itself involves being cramped in a tiny wagon with an irate Tehir driver and is quite stifling. We look at each other and decide that doesn't sound like a good idea."

You look at Jaysehn and hum.

Chemaine agrees with Jaysehn.

Akenna gestures crisply and utters a practiced phrase as raw elemental energies issue forth from her dimly glowing eyes.
Akenna gestures.

You dryly say, "After all."

You sniff.

He smells just like Jaysehn.
You take a quick appraisal of Jaysehn and find that he has no apparent injuries.

He smells just like Geijon.
You take a quick appraisal of Geijon and find that he has no apparent injuries.

Jaysehn blinks at you.

He smells just like Vultieri.
You take a quick appraisal of Vultieri and find that he has no apparent injuries.

You laugh, "You smell pretty bad right now."

Jaysehn glances around the room.

Geijon chuckles.

You attempt to hum a merry little tune.

Vultieri removes a bottle of sandalwood cologne from in his invar-banded pack.

Chemaine quietly says, "I had a bath recently, so am fine."

You say, "I tell you that I will take you along the other route, but you must close your eyes."

You grin at Chemaine.

Vultieri pours a few drops of perfume from his sandalwood cologne on himself.
Vultieri put a bottle of sandalwood cologne in his invar-banded pack.

Time drags on by...
Roundtime: 2 sec.

Vultieri sniffs at you.

Chemaine closes her eyes for a moment.

You beam happily at Chemaine!

Speaking to Chemaine, you exclaim, "Someone's got it!"

You drawl, "Everyone else... I said, you must close your eyes."

Chemaine giggles.

(Akenna sighs softly and closes her eyes.)

Jaysehn closes his eyes for a moment.

Vultieri suddenly looks very tired and lies down for a nap.

You snicker.
Return to the top of this page.

Through the Privy

You say, "This path is a bit of a puzzle and requires a small bone periapt."

You tap a small bone periapt that you are wearing.

You say, "I'll go ahead and let you borrow mine. Keep your eyes closed as I walk you through Solhaven and into a stinking mess that reeks of a herd of dead roltons drenched in fish guts that is rotting in the sun."

Geijon closes his eyes for a moment.

Siggurd closes his eyes for a moment.

You wrinkle your nose.

You say, "You can open your eyes now."

You shudder.

Chemaine quietly says, "Eww."

You say, "Welcome to a privy. You glance down and notice that your footwear is covered in muck. I hope you wore boots instead of sandals."

(Akenna's eyes flutter open.)

Siggurd says, "With what I can smell, i don't wanna open my eyes."

Siggurd shudders.

Silverthorne glances down.

Akenna wrinkles her nose.

Siierra wrinkles her nose.

You flash Siggurd a toothy grin.

Jaysehn blinks.

Vultieri blinks a few times and then opens his eyes and looks around.

Darkkstormmer cringes.

Columns

You say, "Shake off your feet and step past the torn and tattered modesty curtain and out into the Columns. Between the drying Luukosian deathwort and the snake iconography everywhere, it's not hard to determine you've arrived at the fabled Sanctum of Scales."

You say, "Glancing up, you see that you are standing under a sequence of faceted glass domed ceilings among myriad columns in a long hall. Along the sandstone walls are multiple friezes; the harsh desert sun blazes through the glass above and sends innumerable coppery specks across the friezes and tiled stonework floors."

You say, "In a niche along one of the walls, you see a small desert ironwood panel. It appears to be carved from a single slab of ironwood and is ancient. Faintly etched into the wooden surface is yet another coiling serpent. Written upon it are the words 'Lovib im eizh o rievi.'."

Chemaine quietly asks, "Love me the reiver?"

You whisper aloud, "Does anyone know what that means?"

Chemaine quietly asks, "Love me the river?"

Akenna shakes her head.

Chemaine quietly says, "I love the river."

Chemaine giggles.

Looking at Chemaine, you hold your sides and let out a rumbling belly laugh.
Return to the top of this page.

Courtyard

You say, "You give it a puzzled glance and I shrug. We pass through bronze double doors deeply etched with a serpent's head on each door in bas-relief. We are now in the Courtyard."

You say, "From here the spire stretches high above the pale sandstone compound, everything sandblasted and weary. In places, there are sculptured rocks and bits of what must once been desert gardens. Throughout the buildings there are glimpses of stained glass. It seems that the Sand Snakes, the Luukosians who followed then-human Tseleth, had some eye for culture."

You say, "I ask you if you want to look up close at one of the windows."

Time drags on by...
Roundtime: 2 sec.

Chemaine quietly says, "Of course."

Chemaine nods to you.

You flash a quick grin at Chemaine.

Speaking to Chemaine, you say, "I like you."

Chemaine looks at you and hums.

You say, "In response, I bring you close to a series of windows, each depicting a man with a scaled face and dark hair, wandering the sands beneath a sky of stunning Ahmdir blue. The middle image places him before a city of impossibly tall buildings and shattered spires."

Jaysehn smiles quietly to himself.

You say, "We head farther east in the courtyard. In this section, a serpentine pattern of flawless square-cut sapphires and peridots coil along the ground leading us along. We keep going and find snake eggs cared for on pedestals and stands. I glance away as you get close to the eggs."

You whisper aloud, "What do you do?"

Jaysehn says, "Find a Luukosian. Kill it."

Siierra snaps her fingers, producing a flash of brilliant light...

Siierra gestures.

You stare at Jaysehn.

Siierra softly says, "Kill it with fire."

Vultieri says, "Sound plan."

Chemaine giggles at Jaysehn.

You say, "...That's an option."

Geijon chuckles.

Jaysehn nods at Siierra.

Siggurd nods at Siierra.

Chemaine quietly says, "Nah, inspect closer."

Geijon says, "Smash stuff."

Geijon snickers.

You chuckle.

Chemaine laughs at Geijon!

You say, "I turn away as you complete your chosen actions."

You say, "Heading back to the center of the courtyard, we pass through the towering black ora gates adorned with twisting spirals of bronze leaf on the southern perimeter of the open courtyard into the desert. It's an impressive gate void of connective junctures or seams. The dark metal curves and twists in an elaborate design of helicoid serpents, their menacing triangular-shaped heads serving as finials atop the barricade. Emerald spheres flash from the snakes' eye sockets, gleaming wickedly in the ambient light."

Vultieri says, "It seems suspiciously quiet."

You grin at Vultieri.

Chemaine nods at Vultieri.

Chemaine quietly says, "Exactly what I was thinkin'."

As Darkkstormmer rubs his green jade band, a ball of viridian green fire builds in his right hand.

You suggest, "Maybe I'm just that scary?"

You flash a toothy grin.

Siierra grins at Darkkstormmer.

You grin at Darkkstormmer.

Desert

You say, "As we start walking through the desert, we realize it is now night. The wildly shifting sea of sands swirl all around us in pools of silver and shadow beneath the starlit city to our north. Cold moonlight stretches its icy talons down from a sky as black as a bed of jeweler's velvet. And truly frigid winds scream by in stinging waves, blowing veils of pallid grit before them. I hope you have Resist Elements, because whether it is night or die, this desert is dangerous."

Chemaine mutters possibly.

Darkkstormmer takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Darkkstormmer takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Darkkstormmer takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Darkkstormmer brings his left hand towards the green fire and rubs it affectionately.

Siggurd takes a drink from his warm sylvan tea.

A small flame leaps from the verdigris green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand, extinguishing itself shortly after its departure.

Speaking to you, Darkkstormmer says, "I am ready with fire."

You whisper aloud, "Anyone have Resist Elements?"

You grin at Darkkstormmer.

Jaysehn glances around the room.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Chemaine looks rather relaxed.

Jaysehn says, "I have a warm coat."

Chemaine quietly says, "Nah, but i have brandy."

Speaking to Jaysehn, you exclaim, "Oh, good choice!"

You snap your fingers at Chemaine.

Jaysehn blinks.

Vultieri says, "I have hot shoes."

Jaysehn asks, "It is?"

Speaking to Chemaine, you exclaim, "Also a good choice!"

Siierra takes a drink from her Seafarer's vodka.

Chemaine giggles.

Speaking to Jaysehn, you say, "It's cold in the desert at night."

You nod at Jaysehn.

You say, "We wander through the desert maze and eventually end up at the oasis after all. I show it to you, including the leaning date palms laden with small dates. I glance around and point out to you a plethora of plants including soft white mushroom, withered black mushroom, daggerstalk mushroom, flathead mushroom, genkew mushroom, blue trafel mushroom, ayana leaf, murdroot, bolmara lichen, wingstem root, cothinar flower, wintergreen leaf, bright red teaberry, stalk of chicory, moonlight cactus-bloom, sprig of larkspur, ironfern root, and a broken twig. There's a lot to be found here in the oasis."

The vert ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand momentarily takes a columnar form.

Chemaine quietly says, "That's a lot of fungai."

Jaysehn asks, "Wait....a moment...there are dates in that oasis?"

You nod at Chemaine.

Speaking to Jaysehn, you say, "Yes."

You say, "One time Madmountan and I were there."

Jaysehn asks, "Reachable?"

You say, "And he glanced over at those leaning date palms."

You say, "Started aping them."

Speaking quietly to Jaysehn, Chemaine says, "Shimmy up that palm tree."

You say, "Leaned against them."

You say, "And I almost died laughing."

Jaysehn hopefully says, "I love dates."

You say, "Then we got the dates off the trees."

You say, "And ate them."

You smile at Jaysehn.

Jaysehn nods.

Chemaine quietly says, "I have nay been on a date in forever."

Chemaine rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Darkkstormmer's spherical ball of peacock flame licks at the air.

Speaking wryly to Chemaine, you say, "I don't recommend them."

You say, "You just get your heart broken."

Chemaine adopts an agreeable expression.

You nod at Chemaine.

Speaking softly to Darkkstormmer, Siierra asks, "How come you've never taken me for dates?"

Chemaine quietly says, "Indeed so."

Siierra appears to be trying hard not to grin.

You continue, "I glance at you. Wandering the Sanctum for hours with you looking at everything has not done the state of your stench any favors. I am still not getting in that caravan with you. I start to lead you back towards the privy, telling you that I'll point out the patchwork flesh monstrosities and shambling lurks on the way."

Chemaine giggles at Siierra.

Speaking to Siierra, Darkkstormmer says, "I have not asked out."

Darkkstormmer ducks his head.

You add, "I add as an afterthought that I will show you the spire and tell you about the deathsworn fanatics, lithe veiled sentinels, pale scaled shapers, and sidewinders later."

You say, "On another night."

You nod once.

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine asks, "On purpose?"
Return to the top of this page.

Shambling Lurks

You say, "We're nearly back to the privy when suddenly we hear a famished and piteous moan from behind us. We glance at each other and then look over our shoulders in tandem."

You grin at Chemaine.

The chartreuse green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand continues burning, the flame quivering.

Chemaine quietly says, "Oh dear."

You glance over your shoulder.

You recite:
"Not dead so long that its body has begun to lose the unwinnable war against decay, a shambling lurk is firmly in the grip of rigor mortis. Its face is paralyzed in a slack-jawed smile that reveals broken teeth and a dry and swollen tongue. From the viridian firelight dancing in its eyes, it is clear that it is beyond the services of a cleric, except perhaps to grant the blessing of a swift release."

You continue, "You yelp and I flash a toothy grin, my razor-sharp canines on full display. Vital fluids seep from the lurk's orifices and it suddenly lets out a horrible retching sound as its gut pulses and bulges. The distensions travel sickeningly up the lurk's chest and wasted gullet before, with a noisome belch, the lurk vomits a brackish substance at you! You somehow manage to dodge the roiling glob of corrosive fluid."

Chemaine shudders.

You flash a toothy grin.

Chemaine quietly says, "Just eww."

Siierra's face turns slightly pale.

You nod at Chemaine.

You admit, "I'm impressed you dodged it."

Jaysehn narrows his eyes.

Stretching out into a tear shape, Darkkstormmer's emerald green fire wavers slightly.

Chemaine quietly says, "Me too."

You say, "The lurk gnaws blindly with its shattered teeth and attempts to bite me. I casually cast Wither as I tell you that if the lurk's belch hits you, it results in corrosive acidic spittle burning you."

Vultieri asks, "Kicking them in the guts was a bad idea?"

You grin at Vultieri.

Chemaine giggles at Vultieri.

You say, "Clearly I'm not paying attention, because the lurk's eyes flash a violent and ravenous crimson. It lurches towards me, lent speed by hunger, and snaps violently with its jagged teeth. Its teeth sink into the flesh of my right arm! I inform you that the flesh around the wound feels hot and cold at the same time, heavy with infection. Even as I start to pale, I claw my hand forward and the lurk collapses in on itself."

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.
Chemaine looks rather relaxed.

You groan.

You feel the blood drain from your face.

You frantically say, "Glancing at you, I ask you frantically not to let me die. I ask you if you've ever heard of being lurked."

Jaysehn nods.

You frantically cry, "Don't let me die!"

Chemaine focuses on you with intense concentration, and you feel the feathery brush of her mental presence.
Nothing happens.

Vultieri says, "I heard Roblar got lurked."

Chemaine hums a seemingly random tune.

The verdigris ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand flashes, bathing him in a green hue.

You chuckle at Vultieri.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

You whisper aloud, "Anyone have a good lurk story?"

Siierra glances at Darkkstormmer.

Chemaine quietly asks, "Is there such a thing?"

Speaking to Chemaine, you say, "Not really."

Jaysehn says, "Do not let it happen to you. That is the only good version."

Chemaine agrees with Jaysehn.

You nod in agreement at Jaysehn.

Speaking to Siierra, Darkkstormmer says, "What my story is killing folks at events."

Siggurd ponders.

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine says, "What he said."

You groan at Darkkstormmer.

Stretching out into a tear shape, Darkkstormmer's viridian green fire wavers slightly.

You continue, "If I die while this infection is running through my blood over the next ten minutes - which I could from the heavy health loss I will sustain - I could become a lurk myself. It is rumored that some of the other denizens of this location, the pale scaled shaper or the deathsworn fanatic, could also turn me into a lurk. This is something none of us want since a shambling lurk has the ability to cast any spell it could formerly cast while living. I give you a meaningful look."

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Chemaine looks rather relaxed.

Speaking to you, Vultieri asks, "You didn't get lurked on the way here?"

Siierra softly says, "I wish Altheren was here he has a good lurk story."

You cheerfully say, "Only fake lurked for this story."

You wink at Vultieri.

You wiggle your fingers.

You say, "I caution you, again, to avoid the bite and vomit of the lurks while I heal myself and loot the lurk. As I'm doing so, I casually mention that they'll also gnaw on my dead body if they are to come across it and you are to stop them immediately."

You say, "With a sound like a swamp bubble erupting, the shambling lurk melts into viscous glop. Amidst its remains, I point out to you silvers, alchemy reagents, wands, gems, and boxes."

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine says, "Ya will nay die, Siierra and I got ya covered."

Your face lights up with joy for Chemaine.

The chartreuse ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand flashes, bathing him in a green hue.
Return to the top of this page.

Patchwork Flesh Monstrosity

You say, "I heal myself again, the infection from the shambling lurk still running rampant through my body. As I do so, a patchwork flesh monstrosity trundles in, shaking the ground with its footsteps."

You groan.

You yell, "Not another one!"

Chemaine gazes heavenward.

You recite:
"The patchwork flesh monstrosity is near as tall as a giant and twice as broad, a lumbering monstrosity cobbled together from spare parts in tactless parody of a human form. Red-tinged serum leaks constantly from the straining stitches that maintain the monster's integrity. Only the barest glimmer of intelligence lurks in the monstrosity's eyes, and that, perhaps, is a blessing: anything with even half of a brain would be horrified to be such an abominable figure. From the looks of it, the monstrosity's has barely a quarter of one."

Vultieri hopefully asks, "Kick this one in the guts?"

Chemaine turns to Vultieri and cheers!

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

You say, "...I might have to change my story if you do that."

You say, "In fact, I'm going to."

You grin slowly at Vultieri.

Chemaine quietly says, "Oh my goodness."

The viridian ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand flashes, bathing him in a green hue.

You ask, "It raises a hamhock-sized fist overhead and brings it swiftly down at us in a hammerfist. I flash a complex pattern of coruscating emerald-imbued argent energy between it and us and deflect the assault. In response, it rushes towards us and tackles me, knocking me to my feet. I gasp for breath and remind you not to let me die. What are you going to do?"

You fall over. Clumsy oaf!

You gasp.

Jaysehn glances at you.

You wheeze, trying to catch your breath.

You gasp.

Silverthorne pushes on Darkkstormmer without much success.

You wheeze, trying to catch your breath.

Silverthorne pushes on Darkkstormmer without much success.

Silverthorne pushes on Darkkstormmer without much success.

Silverthorne rolls you over.

Silverthorne rolls you over.

Silverthorne rolls you over.

Jaysehn says, "Slay it. Overwhelming force, concentrated in a small space of time."

Vultieri asks, "Knock it down and punch its head in?"

You moan.

Chemaine quietly says, "Oh, i fell asleep."

You ask, "Not kick it in its stomach?"

The celadon ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand momentarily takes a columnar form.

You groan at Chemaine.

Speaking to Chemaine, you say, "Buuurrrrnnn."

You wiggle your fingers at Chemaine.

Jaysehn says, "You better kick it."

Chemaine pulls you to your feet.

Jaysehn nods at Vultieri.

Chemaine dusts you off.

Akenna says, "You hit it with an elemental wave then burn it."

Vultieri says, "That didn't turn out so well with the lurk."

Jaysehn points at Akenna.

Speaking to you, Silverthorne asks, "You need the vat dear?"

Jaysehn says, "Good one."

You grin at Silverthorne.

You feel the blood drain from your face.

You feel the blood drain from your face.

You nod at Silverthorne.

Akenna says, "Or if you can't do that... you cast earthen fury."

Siggurd stares into space, appearing to ponder multiple possibilities and potential nuances.

Chemaine focuses on you with intense concentration, and you feel the feathery brush of her mental presence.
Your neck scar gradually fades, forming on Chemaine's neck instead.
Tiny colorful twinkling motes gather in the palm of Chemaine's hand as she prepares a spell...
Chemaine concentrates.
Chemaine's neck looks better.

Chemaine hums a seemingly random tune.

Speaking to you, Siggurd says, "This doesn't sound like a great place for a Date."

Akenna says, "Actually, all of these work."

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Siierra grins.

A streak of magenta energy snakes throughout Darkkstormmer's ball of green fire.

Chemaine agrees with Siggurd.

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

You say, "As you cast Earthern Fury, Elemental Wave, Major Fire, knock it down and punch its head in, and attempt to slay it with overwhelming force... the patchwork flesh monstrosity first tries to ensnare you with its bloated arms and then it slams its foot down, sending tremors rumbling throughout the area. It misses, and unluckily for it, I've recovered from the tackle."

You snicker at Siggurd.

Vultieri asks, "Maybe remove its arms and legs?"

Chemaine quietly says, "I's gonna break all its bones."

Chemaine nods at Vultieri.

The glowing specks of energy surrounding Akenna suddenly shoot off in all directions, then quickly fade away.

Chemaine quietly says, "Blast 'em off."

You exclaim, "I ask the local spirits for help and Wither it. Despite doing enough damage to send it back into dust, it revives. Corrupted flesh snaps and tears over the surface of a patchwork flesh monstrosity's body, reconfiguring itself so that the monstrosity can continue on! The monstrosity's eyes burn green with rage over its near-demise!"

Akenna says, "Why do that? It is on fire."

A small flame leaps from the vert green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand, extinguishing itself shortly after its departure.

You say, "I cast at it again and caustic fluid spews forth from the wound I just created in a vile gout, covering me with caustic acid. I'm horribly injured, but you are luckily quite safe."

Akenna wrinkles her nose.

You say, "You're lucky you chose not to kick it."

You snicker at Vultieri.

Speaking to you, Jaysehn asks, "Not your day, eh?"

You say, "I groan. The patchwork flesh monstrosity matches my noise as it heals itself: a patchwork flesh monstrosity's slapdash physique rearranges itself with a series of groans and sucking pops as its wounds seal themselves."

You snarl in what you hope is a fearsome manner, then glare around the area.

You say, "Snarling in its face, I throw more spirits at it and soon enough Stitches pop horrendously all over the surface of a patchwork flesh monstrosity's body as it collapses to the floor, vitrified organs leaking free with its surrender to death."

You say, "With an angry growl, I tell you to loot the monstrosity. With a sound like a swamp bubble erupting, a patchwork flesh monstrosity also melts into viscous glop. I point out gems, silvers, magical items, lockpicks, herbs, and boxes."

The jade ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand flashes, bathing him in a green hue.

Chemaine quietly says, "Someone chop off his head and toss it far away just to be sure."

You chortle at Chemaine.

Vultieri asks, "One of these things that can put its heads back on as fast as I remove them?"

You nod at Vultieri.

The End and Questions

You say, "Limping from all the abuse I've suffered, I tell you that we are heading to the privy immediately and snarl that now-Arch-Lich Tseleth deserved everything he had coming to him for playing with life and death and that the Ur-Daemon can go to the Maw."

Vultieri says, "I took 13 heads off a soul golem once."

Chemaine adopts an agreeable expression.

You ask, "Our journey is over. Do you have any questions?"

You grin.

Meril just came through a massive stone doorway.

Chemaine quietly asks, "Did we win?"

You say, "I suppose it depends on what you consider 'winning'."

You wave to Meril.

Speaking to Meril, you exclaim, "Welcome!"

Meril waves.

Chemaine nods once.

Speaking to you, Jaysehn says, "You need the vat....or its going to be a tough journey back."

A streak of magenta energy snakes throughout Darkkstormmer's ball of green fire.

Akenna says, "But you were bitten."

You say, "If you wait, the infection does go away."

Akenna nods at Jaysehn.

Chemaine quietly says, "Oh good."

You say, "But it hurts you significantly in the mean time."

Jaysehn says, "Well...maybe for a healer."

Jaysehn smiles quietly to himself.

You nod at Jaysehn.

Siggurd says, "My first question would be Where is the closest bathhouse? I'm covered in things that I do not wish me to be covered in."

You burst out in loud, raucous laughter at Siggurd.

Chemaine nods at Siggurd.

Jaysehn nods at Siggurd.

Chemaine quietly says, "No kidding."

Siggurd shudders.

Jaysehn says, "Good point."

You smugly say, "You're welcome."

Speaking to Akenna, you say, "Although, I did get bitten several hours ago."

Siggurd snorts!

Shrinking to the size of a child's fist, Darkkstormmer's green fire burns with an intense celadon light.

Chemaine grins at you.

You say, "And I suppose you could kill me and see if I come back as a lurk."

Jaysehn raises an eyebrow in your direction.

Jaysehn closes his eyes for a moment.

Jaysehn looks over at you and shakes his head.

Jaysehn says, "You are clean."

You nod once.

Speaking to you, Akenna asks, "Why would you put me through that?"

Akenna chuckles.

Speaking to Akenna, you exclaim, "I wouldn't want to do it!"

You say, "I'm just saying... for science."

You say, "In case I'm wrong."

Jaysehn shakes his head at you and clucks his tongue.

You say, "Maybe I should go back and touch the vat just in case."

You stare at nothing in particular.

Speaking to Akenna, you say, "Don't let the bandits kill me later."

You nod once at Akenna.

Shrinking to the size of a child's fist, Darkkstormmer's green fire burns with an intense malachite light.

Speaking to you, Akenna exclaims, "I try!"

Vultieri asks, "Maybe we should pin you down and force feed you acantha candy?"

You chortle at Vultieri.

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine asks, "When will we go to Old Ta'Faendryl?"

You say, "I included those just for this conversation."

You beam happily at Vultieri!

Chemaine quietly says, "Would be just as fun."

Speaking to Chemaine, you say, "Ah! A good question."

You say, "I don't think I have Old Ta'Faendryl on my list yet, but I do have several more beasts, monsters, and legends planned out."

Chemaine adopts an agreeable expression.

Vultieri asks, "Are they huggable?"

You say, "...I always forget what they are."

You say, "Every single month."

You say, "Ah! I remember now."

You say, "Next month is pookas."

You say, "The month after that is death dirges."

The vert green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand continues burning, the flame quivering.

You say, "The month after that is Neartofar orcs and trolls."

Chemaine quietly says, "Such cuties those pookas."

You say, "And I will add Old Ta'Faendryl for after that."

You grin at Chemaine.

Chemaine turns to you and cheers!

Jaysehn says, "For those interested....the first time you destroy a monstrosity, the soul within is freed and released from its torment. So, if you need to retreat because it reforms, you have still saved the being that was used to give it life."

Chemaine agrees with Jaysehn.

Chemaine quietly says, "Most noble."

Darkkstormmer's spherical ball of malachite flame licks at the air.

Speaking to Jaysehn, you exclaim, "That's wonderful information!"

Jaysehn says, "It is my profession."

Jaysehn nods at Chemaine.

You say, "I also want to open the floor to any information anyone wants to add about the Sanctum of Scales, the Arch Lich Tseleth, the Sea of Fire, the undead within this complex, and the Sand Snakes."

You say, "I was not there when Arch Lich Tseleth came and begged for help to cleanse the Sanctum of Scales from the Ur-Daemon corruption."

The peacock ball of fire in Darkkstormmer's hand flashes, bathing him in a green hue.

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine says, "Fastest place I've ever died...The most as well."

You say, "Or tales of hunting in the Sanctum."

You gaze in wonder at your surroundings.

You say, "...Or anything at all."

Siierra softly says, "Just want to toss out that if anyone ever wants to try a hunt there Dark and I hunt there daily and I'd be happy to show you around."

You say, "Don't make me beg."

Your face lights up with joy for Siierra.

Darkkstormmer nods in agreement at Siierra.

The celadon green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand continues burning, the flame quivering.

Meril ponders.

Akenna says, "It is an interesting place and they have some facsinating gems."

Jaysehn says, "If you use the caravans....be wary. They are snakes of a different sort and are happy to leave you to bandits, the desert or anything else that suits them."

Akenna shrugs.

You say, "As a side note, I did not talk about the vat because it is within the spire."

You say, "However, someone could explain about it now if they would like."

Chemaine hums a seemingly random tune.
The verdigris green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand flickers idly.

Cryheart says, "Sorry, I am late."

Cryheart blushes a glowing shade of red.

Siggurd takes a drink from his warm sylvan tea.

Geijon shifts his weight.

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

Chemaine quietly says, "Just a pinch."

A black-masked banded field rat clambers out from Cryheart's cotton twill surcoat and climbs its way back up to his shoulder, looking quite pleased with itself.

Speaking mournfully to Cryheart, you say, "Sadly, we are almost at the end."

Chemaine begins chuckling at Cryheart!

Speaking to Cryheart, you say, "But I am very grateful to see you."

The ball of green fire in Darkkstormmer's hand diminishes in size, before disappearing into nothingness.

Cryheart says, "Same."

You ask, "Do you have any stories of hunting in the Sanctum?"

You ask, "Or of Arch Lich Tseleth?"

Jaysehn asks, "Is there any evidence of the Daemon corruption within?"

You exclaim, "Well!"

Geijon says, "I end up dead in Sanctum or hurt so bad or tired and near lost."

Jaysehn says, "I didn't know of it."

Geijon says, "Figures Luukosians would build that."

Akenna curiously asks, "Is it true he was once a Dreamwalker?"

You exclaim, "Oh, that's a good question!"

You nod at Akenna.

You say, "Tseleth was once a Dreamwalker."

Darkkstormmer laughs at Cryheart!

Jaysehn frowns.

Cryheart grins at Darkkstormmer.

Darkkstormmer glances at you.

Jaysehn asks, "A Fallen, then?"

Cryheart waves to Meril.

Jaysehn frowns.

You say, "I heard there was some sort of betrayal."

Cryheart turns an inquisitive ear toward you.

Speaking to you, Darkkstormmer says, "Getting me in trouble again."

Akenna nods slowly.

You whistle at Darkkstormmer!

Meril nods to Cryheart in greeting.

You say, "After the betrayal, he went to the Sea of Fire."

You say, "And there, he came across Bir Mahallah."

You say, "The Tehir tell a story about the First Serpent being at that city."

Speaking to Akenna, you say, "It is supposedly a spirit of vengeance."

You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.

You say, "Or some sort."

Akenna nods slowly.

Cryheart sits down.

You say, "In Bir Mahallah, he somehow converted to Luukos."

You say, "I think the story is unknown, but it may just be that I do not know it."

Cryheart's rose vine anklet writhes slightly, the vine's tendrils creeping and shifting slightly as it repositions itself along his ankle.

You say, "From there, he came to Solhaven."

You say, "And tried to spread the word of Luukos."

Cryheart rubs his chin thoughtfully.

You say, "He created Athamael who turned on him and killed him."

You say, "But he was brought back by High Priest Morvule from the Maw."

You say, "And thus is now a Arch Lich."

Cryheart says, "Boo Morvule."

You fidget.

Chemaine adopts an agreeable expression.

You honestly say, "I don't know anything more than that."

You say, "And my information may not be that good."

Akenna nods slowly.

You say, "As I was not there."

Akenna says, "Thank you."

You nod at Akenna.

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine says, "As good as any. more than i know."

You say, "Both Tseleth and Morvule are ... missing, as far as I know."

You say, "Or just absent."

You say, "But I could be wrong."

You say, "As to the corruption in the Sanctum..."

Chemaine quietly says, "Is a mess."

Chemaine nods to you.

You chuckle at Chemaine.

Jaysehn nods to you.

Cryheart says, "From what I hae heard."

Cryheart nods at Chemaine.

Speaking to Jaysehn, you say, "I haven't explored the spire much."

You say, "But it is clear that the Luukosians are not keeping up the area anymore."

You say, "The deathwort is positively droopy and drying out."

Geijon nods.

Cryheart says, "Aahhh."

Siierra takes a drink from her Seafarer's vodka.

Chemaine quietly asks, "Is there a temple deep inside?"

You say, "I think because they've been corrupted themselves by this eye."

You say, "Apparently, the corruption could not be cleansed."

Geijon asks, "Tseleth went in search of Morvule to kill him in the end, no?"

Speaking quietly to Geijon, Chemaine says, "Maybe is dead."

Geijon nods at Chemaine.

Speaking dubiously to Geijon, you say, "I don't think so."

You say, "But I don't know for sure."

Geijon ponders.

Geijon says, "I'll check my notes."

Geijon chuckles.

Speaking to Geijon, you say, "And then you can let us know next time."

You flash a quick grin at Geijon.

Geijon says, "The Periapt is a must have."

You take off a small bone periapt.

Speaking quietly to Geijon, Chemaine says, "Find him and bring him here."

You say, "Yes."

You carefully place a small bone periapt on the floor.

Siggurd peers quizzically at Geijon.

You say, "Please feel free to look at it."

You say, "Don't take it."

The periapt's inlaid emerald shines brightly, like a tiny viridian star.

You say, "I will be cranky."

You flash a quick grin.

Cryheart grins.

Speaking to Chemaine, Geijon says, "Most of my wars include th' four, mostly Sheruvians and undead."

Chemaine adopts an agreeable expression.

You point at a small bone periapt.

You say, "It's so shiny."

You grin.

Cryheart says, "Ahhh...I hae one of those."

Jaysehn says, "I have an extra periapt if anyone needs one."

You pick up a small bone periapt.

You put on a small bone periapt.

You say, "You need it for the privy route."

You nod once.

Vultieri asks, "Do you have to sign up to Luukos to get that?"

Geijon says, "Naw."

Speaking to Vultieri, Jaysehn says, "Use evil to defeat evil."

Jaysehn nods.

You say, "Here's where, uh, I'm going to let someone else tell you how you get it."

Cryheart asks, "Ye just hae to find one in the Sanctum, right?"

You say, "Because.... Melivn gave me mine."

You chuckle.

Jaysehn says, "Their followers carry it. You'll find them on their corpses."

Cryheart nods.

Geijon says, "That is an interesting question though because th' Sanctum and old temple are relics of a local dead organization."

Speaking to Jaysehn, you say, "Thank you."

Geijon says, "But you have to use their paths to enter, or be quicker."

Siierra softly says, "And you have to keep them charged in order to go in and out of the privy."

You say, "By killing more of the creatures."

You nod once.

Cryheart says, "I dinnae recall the privy entry....and crossing the desert sands is not without danger."

Speaking quietly to Chamorr, Chemaine says, "Hi there brother mine."

Geijon nods at Cryheart.

You nod at Cryheart.

Speaking cheekily to Cryheart, you say, "I could take you on a personal tour of the privy one of these days."

You flash a quick grin at Cryheart.

Cryheart nods to you.

Cryheart says, "Sure."

Jaysehn says, "You can set a ring at the Sanctum Gates. And bypass the desert from the Oasis."

Akenna wrinkles her nose.

Chamorr gives Siierra a friendly hug.

Cryheart says, "Just need to memorize that path."

Speaking dryly to Akenna, you say, "I know, I should have bathed after my tour earlier."

Chamorr sticks his tongue out at Siggurd, and lets out with a loud, "Thbtbtbtbt" from his lips!

You say, "Okay! I have one last bit here..."

Speaking to Jaysehn, Geijon says, "This might sound funny, but I really dislike rings."

Geijon chuckles.

Darkkstormmer says, "That places smells."

Chamorr hugs Meril.

Speaking to you, Akenna says, "It's all right. There are worse things."

You ask, "And Siierra, at the end, when I ask, can you tell us about upcoming events?"

Siierra takes a drink from her Seafarer's vodka.

You glance over at Siierra and wince.

Meril waves to Chamorr.

Siierra grins at you.

Speaking to Geijon, Jaysehn says, "Well...I won't use that garden in Solhaven...so..."

Geijon agrees with Jaysehn.

Speaking to Siierra, you say, "At least I'm not springing it on you this time."

Geijon says, "Fair."
Return to the top of this page.

One Thing

You exclaim, "Okay! One last thing!"

Akenna shrugs.

You say, "I am going to point at each one of you."

Speaking quietly to Jaysehn, Chemaine asks, "Is there a garden there?"

Chemaine rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Cryheart ducks his head.

You say, "And I want you to either tell me something new you learned tonight or something I forgot to say."

You say, "Start thinking frantically."

Speaking heartily to Chemaine, Chamorr says, "Shore isa lotta mentors here."

Akenna shifts her weight.

Chemaine nods at Chamorr.

Chemaine giggles.

Cryheart nods to you.

Speaking to Akenna, you reassure, "You can also pass."

Speaking quietly to Chamorr, Chemaine says, "Feel safer now."

Akenna grins at you.

You ask, "Ready?"

Speaking quietly to Chamorr, Chemaine says, "Ya be here."

You gaze in wonder at your surroundings.

Siggurd nods.

Geijon takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

You point at Jaysehn.

Speaking heartily to Chemaine, Chamorr asks, "No, do they?"

Jaysehn says, "I am honestly excited to go and pick dates at the oasis."

Jaysehn nods.

You grin at Jaysehn.

You point at Akenna.

Cryheart grins at Jaysehn.

Akenna says, "I don't want to encounter you as a Lurk."

Cryheart starts chortling.

Speaking to Akenna, you say, "It would be a terrible event."

Jaysehn nods in agreement at Akenna.

You give Akenna a lingering kiss on the cheek.

Siierra casts a bemused glance around the room.

Speaking to you, Jaysehn says, "I'd have to release you."

You point at Darkkstormmer.

You nod at Jaysehn.

Darkkstormmer cowers away from you.

Speaking seriously to Jaysehn, you say, "Please do."

Jaysehn nods once.

Chemaine pours herself a snifter of warm elven brandy.

Chamorr glances at you.

Jaysehn takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Speaking to Darkkstormmer, you say, "Something you learned or something I forgot."

You grin mischievously at Darkkstormmer.

You say, "Or pass."

Geijon stands up.

Chamorr waves to Vultieri.

You lean on Geijon, giving him a companionable grin.

Geijon smiles.

Chamorr chuckles.

You attempt to hum a merry little tune.

You point at Siierra.

Geijon says, "I think he passed."

You exclaim, "Both of you at the same time!"

Siierra grins.

Geijon snickers.

Darkkstormmer ponders.

Geijon gibbers incoherently.

Darkkstormmer says, "Try to avoid the desert if you can unless you have lots of water."

Darkkstormmer grins.

You grin at Darkkstormmer.

You point at a glass of cold mineral water on a silver-traced carved mahogany cart.

You exclaim, "Good plan!"

You turn to face Siierra.

Chemaine quietly says, "And a warm coat."

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

You chuckle at Chemaine.

Chemaine nods at Darkkstormmer.

Akenna pours herself a cup of warm sylvan tea.

Siierra softly says, "I recommend traveling with an empath. We can cast trolls blood on the group which will help keep the lurk disease substainable until you can reach the vat or it wears off."

Siierra appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Your face lights up with joy.

You exclaim, "Great tip!"

You point at Vultieri.

Darkkstormmer nods in agreement at Siierra.

Darkkstormmer says, "That helps."

Geijon agrees with Siierra.

Chemaine's face turns slightly pale.

Vultieri says, "I thought it was absolutely swarming there, but it seems its pretty empty."

You nod at Vultieri.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Chemaine looks rather relaxed.

Akenna says, "It depends on how many people are in there at the time."

You say, "After years of a lot of hard work, we've cut down the population a bit it seems."

Jaysehn agrees with Akenna.

You nod at Akenna.

Akenna says, "They sound the alarm pretty quickly."

Siierra frowns.

You point at Chemaine.

Siggurd takes a drink from his warm sylvan tea.

Speaking quietly to you, Chemaine says, "Oh, I had no idea I liked warmed Elven brandy."

Chemaine nods once.

You flash a quick grin at Chemaine.

Siggurd chuckles.

Vultieri says, "That and the luukos taint on getting there is why I've never considered goig there."

You point at Siggurd.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.
Chemaine looks rather relaxed.

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

Siggurd nods to you.

Meril adds, "The entry hall and the spire are separated enough that if a group is hunting in one place, it will not alert the defenders in the others."

Speaking to Vultieri, you say, "Can always use the caravans."

Siggurd says, "It's probably best to visit a ranger before you leave to aid in resisting the elements."

You applaud Siggurd warmly.

You point at Geijon.

Geijon says, "I must be loud so they sound th' alarm when I've been there. I've gotten to the sanctum, but I never noticed th' views you shared opening th' event."

You grin at Geijon.

You say, "I... may have had to cast a lot of Minor Sanctuary."

You clear your throat.

Cryheart raises his hand.

Geijon says, "Reminder of why Luukosians spark such ire too."

Geijon joins Cryheart's group.

Speaking to Geijon, you ask, "Do you have anything else to add before it is Meril's turn?"

Geijon shakes his head.

You point at Meril.

Geijon smiles.

Meril ponders.

Cryheart stands up.

Cryheart twists slightly, cracking his spine. He looks much better.

Geijon takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

You grin at Cryheart.

Akenna takes a tiny sip of her warm sylvan tea, warming her lips and making sure it's cool enough to drink.

You take a drink from your dwarven stout. It has a richly roasted malt aroma and a nutty taste.
You have 2 quaffs left.

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.

Meril says, "Well, there are quite a few spirit beasts native to the desert, if anyone here collects them -- morduskas and selshis and qhazumar. The shapers themselves are counted among the Uncommon sort."

You exclaim, "Oh!"

You say, "That's fantastic information. I didn't think of that."

You grab a small copper talisman from a small pocket inside of your black leather coat.

Akenna says, "Oh.."

Chamorr pours himself a glass of Seafarer's vodka.

Speaking to your copper talisman, you say, "You and I have a new mission."

Speaking quietly to Chamorr, Chemaine says, "Nay saw any scotch for ya."

You tuck the copper talisman into a small pocket inside of your black leather coat.

Akenna says, "I'd like a morduska."

Speaking to Meril, you say, "Thank you for adding that."

You point at Cryheart.

Jaysehn nods at Akenna.

Jaysehn says, "We shall find one then."

Meril clasps her hands in a reverent gesture.

Speaking heartily to Chemaine, Chamorr says, "Nary a drop, buncha elfs, prolly."

Cryheart suddenly pauses, a look of consternation crossing his features as he listens intently.

Chemaine giggles.

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

Chamorr takes a drink from his Seafarer's vodka.

Cryheart says, "I hae heard, that a shield skill is invaluable against the shapers."

Cryheart nods to you.

Cryheart says, "Shield bash."

Your face lights up with joy for Cryheart.

Cryheart says, "Or trample."

You kiss Cryheart on the cheek.

You say, "Thank you for adding that."

You nod once.

Chamorr takes a drink from his Seafarer's vodka.

You point at Chamorr.

Cryheart says, "Welcome."

Speaking to Chamorr, you ask, "Would you like to tell us something about the Sanctum of Scales?"

You say, "I know you missed the story part, but that's okay."

You smile at Chamorr.

Chamorr heartily says, "Sure."

Chamorr heartily says, "Only been there a few times."

Speaking quietly to Chamorr, Chemaine says, "Besides I nearly pee my pants at the thought of going there."

You chuckle at Chemaine.

Cryheart grins at Chamorr.

Akenna says, "It isn't so terrible."

Cryheart grins at Chemaine.

Chemaine giggles.

You say, "It was pretty terrifying the first time I went there a couple years ago, but much easier now."

Chamorr heartily says, "The wind causes more damage than the critters, how ya stop that."

You say, "Well, there's nothing easy about an Ur-Daemon corrupted Luukosian temple."

You say, "But you know what I mean."

Akenna nods to you.

Cryheart says, "Resistance."

Speaking to Chamorr, you say, "Resist Elements."

Cryheart nods at Chamorr.

You say, "Or yes, other forms of resistance."

You nod at Cryheart.

You say, "You can also stay to the north."

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.
You say, "In the Columns."

Cryheart says, "Resist elements."

You say, "Or the Spire."

Cryheart nods to you.

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

You say, "The desert heat and winds and cold won't affect you there."

Akenna takes a drink from her warm sylvan tea.

Vultieri asks, "Whats the best resistance to have there?"

You exclaim, "Okay!"

Chamorr heartily says, "Gotchya, i will try that."

You say, "Oh."

You say, "That's a good question."

Akenna says, "Depends on when you go."

You say, "Heat during the day and cold at night."

Vultieri says, "If you can pick one at will."

You ask, "Yes?"

You peer quizzically at Akenna.

Speaking to you, Akenna says, "I would say cold if you go more frequently at night."

Jaysehn takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Akenna shrugs.

You nod.

Cryheart says, "Oh."

You honestly say, "I've just stayed out of the desert."

Chemaine takes a drink from her warm elven brandy.
Chemaine looks rather relaxed.

Cryheart raises his hand.

You point at Cryheart.

Akenna leans over and whispers something private to you.

You nod slowly at Akenna.

Meril says, "And Master Earthdiver has heavily recommended puncture resistance to me before, for the magic we are likely to face in there."

You quietly whisper something in return to Akenna.

Cryheart asks, "Hmm..I overheard someone saying that they used veil iron to prevent the serpents from grasping your weapon...know if that is true?"

Geijon nods at Meril.

Siierra softly says, "I have acid resistance on my armor."

Speaking to Cryheart, you say, "That's a good question. I didn't research them for tonight, as I was covering lurks and monstrosities."

Cryheart nods to you.

Speaking to Siierra, you say, "Ahh, yess, the vomit."

You nod at Siierra.

Siierra nods.

Darkkstormmer says, "That has killed people before just the splash."

Darkkstormmer appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Speaking to Meril, you say, "I did find the puncture resistance on my armor was very useful."

Cryheart asks, "Vomit?"

Cryheart winces.

You nod at Cryheart.

You say, "The lurks vomit on you."

You say, "You do not want that."

You shake your head.

Cryheart says, "Taht would be bad...think of the smell."

You exclaim, "Okay, everyone!"

Cryheart gags.
Return to the top of this page.

Upcoming Events

You say, "Thank you so much for coming to another Beasts, Monsters, and Legends."

You say, "Before you leave..."

You say, "I'm hoping Siierra will tell us about upcoming events."

Cryheart turns an inquisitive ear toward Siierra.

Jaysehn takes a drink from his warm elven brandy.

Siierra nods.

Meril pours herself a cup of warm sylvan tea.

Cryheart adjusts his kroderine plate, reinforcing weak spots.

Speaking heartily to Chemaine, Chamorr asks, "Silverwood manor pub crawl?"

You say, "I know I have two next month, but ... I forgot about others."

You blush a light pink shade at Siierra.

Siierra softly says, "May 3rd is our next Open House at 10p."
Siierra softly says, "May 10th is our newest event Monthly Mechanics Mashup hosted by Leafiara and Darcena at 9pm."
Siierra softly says, "May 20th will be our Post-Cap Conversations at 9pm."
Siierra softly says, "And May 26th will be another Beast Monsters and Lores with Darcena at 930 pm."
Siierra softly says, "Topic will be Pookas."

Geijon lets out a cheer!

You raise your fist in a display of defiance.

Cryheart says, "The pookie monsters."

You say, "Thank you everyone for coming tonight."

Akenna nods to you.

You say, "I hope you do take Siierra and Darkkstormmer up on their offer."

Chamorr applauds you.

Cryheart nods to you.

Siierra adopts an agreeable expression.

You say, "To hunt the Sanctum."

Meril claps her hands.

Speaking to Jaysehn, you say, "Thank you for adding your expertise on the undead."

Darkkstormmer nods in agreement.

Jaysehn nods once.

Speaking to you, Jaysehn says, "Your delivery was fascinating. Well done."

You say, "If you'd like an escort out, please feel free to join me."
