Standing almost twelve feet tall, the '''yeti''' is a large humanoid creature covered in long, stringy black and red hair. His domed pate is matted with twigs and dirt, and his heavy brow forms a shelf over his tiny black eyes. With arms nearly long enough to brush the ground, the yeti has a ferociously strong grip and excellent leverage for the tossing of heavy objects. Broad, flat feet provide stability and traction in the icy, mountainous environments that are his normal habitat.

==Hunting strategies==

Hunters familiar with the tactics of [[glacial morph]]s will find yeti very familiar. They do employ some maneuver attacks similar to bearhugs and one that is similar to [[Hurl Boulder (510)]], but all in all, are the least dangerous creatures found in the [[Griffin's Keen]], if proper care is taken.
Yetis can be stunned, knock them down with Unbalance or hit them in the leg with Limb Disruption. Get them stunned and down on the ground.

The Sheruvian harbinger is a handsome woman with hypnotic eyes and fair skin. Her demeanor appears emotionless, but you can see some sort of evil fire burning within those dark pupils. A sleek, black breastplate covers most of her torso, and you can see it is made of fine quality. The mere look of the harbinger reminds most people of the tales of the Harbinger of [[Unlife|Chaos]], spawned forth to do great evil.

==Behind The Scenes==
Originally "Heralds of Night", these were servants of the [[Unlife]], whose origins were lost to the [[Wars of Dominion]]. Heralds were a kind of status symbol for powerful dark lords, and [[Sheru]] was known to have his own host of them in his [[ICE age|I.C.E. age]] form. There was an anecdote by Andraax of them leading an army of tens of thousands of demons, following an [[Ordainer]], all of whom were serving Sheru who was suddenly and unexpectedly stopped by [[Kai]]. Heralds were said to ride black unicorns, but those of Sheru used [[nightmare steed]]s. Their minds were completely dominated and controlled by their swords, which were designed to mockingly represent a similar sword held by [[Lumnis]]. This is why they have some immunities to mental spells.

'''Spellburst''' is a balancing mechanic for higher level hunting areas to manage the amount of outside spells a character can wear in the areas that Spellburst effects. Those areas are the Keen, including Wyneb Temple (Skull temple), Old Ta'Faendryl, and the [[Ruined Temple]] (Nelemar) on Teras. Failure to observe this feature can result in outside spells being violently torn from the player, causing HP and critical damage, and possibly resulting in the character's death. Training in magical skills will help to increase the amount of outside spells a character can safely wear in a spellburst environment.

The following formula seems to be accurate up to half your level in wearable outside mana. It is well known that the current formula goes bogus once the result is over half your level in wearable mana.

*I intentionally selected a skill/level set that would generate an end result that is less than half the level in wearable mana.

Assume once that that same level 75 rogue had... 30 AS, 30 MIU, 40 HP, 20 SMC, 20 EMC ranks... the formula would generate 40 wearable mana. At level 75, the formula is only accurate up to about 37.5 mana, so that "extra" 2.5 mana is really more like... 1 mana. I haven't gathered enough data to actually crack the next step.

Assume this rogue capped without gaining any relative magical skills....

The initial skill set generates a value lower than half the level in wearable mana, while the second generates a value more than half the level of the character. That said, the wearable mana is probably more like, 52 wearable mana. Again, I just haven't been able to solve the next step of the formula.

Let's assume we are dealing with the initial skills set of the level 75 rogue with 4 minor elemental ranks. The wearable outside mana came to be 33. It is important to manage what spells fill that 33 mana, as some spells are quite costly with minimal benefits. Since both the 100s and 400s circles are learnable by the rogue, it's probably best to add those spells first. [[101]], [[103]], [[107]], [[406]], [[414]]. Those spells, all combined have a mana value of 31, 15.5 when halved. Subtract that from the initial 33 total, and we have 17.5 mana to add. If you have 601, 202, 503, 509, that's a quick 15 mana, leaving 2.5 extra wearable mana as a buffer, which is good.

In closing: The information above is as accurate and simply put as I can give it. There are some gray areas in the research, and the formula, and in how to calculate each individual spell value. Spells that constantly cause oddities for me were [[509]], [[911]], [[215]], [[211]], [[219]], [[618]], [[313]], [[913]], [[513]], off the top of my head. Simply adding 0.5 mana to their base value seemed to help remedy some of the problems with the calculations. Good luck! Burst less!

==Benefits to Forging, mathmatical==
A perfectly forged weapon may be easily compared to a blessable or enchantable somewhat critical and damage [[Weighting|weighted]] weapon. It is very speculative, though, as the benefit of an increased DF depends largely on the endroll, where a critically weighted weapon only depends on if you get a level 1 critical strike. Extremely high endrolls would lead to the increased DF to be better than light weighting, but against plate, to equal heavy critical weighting (which adds 5 phantom damage for determining the critical rank) in a longsword, one would need a +577 endroll (A +577 endroll would be a level 7 critical hit, level 8 with either of the weapons being compared), making a heavily weighted weapon much better against plate than a perfectly forged longsword. However, the perfectly forged weapon is enchantable and blessable, and if it is invar or steel, the weapon is also [[Elemental Blade (411)|e-bladeable]].

Once a level 9 critical hit is achieved, however, critical weighting becomes pointless, making damage weighted or perfectly forged weapons much more useful. For the purposes of comparing to damage weighting, ignoring the critical benefit to increased [[Damage factor]]s, the endroll would need to be much higher, as critical weighting is halved and damage weighting is not. To equal heavily crit weighting (+5 phantom damage), against plate, with a longsword, a +577 endroll is needed, and the weighting becomes moot after +666 endroll. However, to equal a heavily damage weighted (+10 damage that doesn't count towards a critical) longsword in damage one would need a +1053 endroll. Damage weighting never becomes moot no matter how high the endroll.

As I stated in the article, the real benefit to forging is the upgradability of the weapon.

The metal kelyn is not present in the list of materials able to be forged. It is forgeable with enchanted oil, has a working round-time of 420 seconds, creates purple sparks when forged. Not positive, but Clunk was taught that the metal somehow providied an ability to aid in ambush (much like the crit-weighting of razern). Fist-scythe blades need minimum of four pounds of this metal to form a suitable fist-scythe blade.
