&#039;&#039;&#039;Call Familiar&#039;&#039;&#039; enables a [[wizard]] to summon an animal to their side as a companion.  Cast unaided, the spell calls out to the nearest appropriate animal in the region, resulting in an arbitrary familiar.  The duration of the effect may be refreshed in order to retain a particular familiar over an extended period of time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Call Familiar is used in conjunction with [[Familiar Gate (930)]] for easy transport to wherever the familiar is located.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
At 40 or more ranks in the Wizard Base Spell Circle, a wizard can use {{boldmono|[[SUMMON]]}} to specify the type, adjective, article, and gender of the familiar they wish to summon. This method will always summon a familiar of the specified type while the other options have a chance to be different than specified.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Additional ranks in the Wizard Base Spell Circle increase the chance to summon a familiar with the specified detail by 1% per rank. The chance for the adjective to match is equal to the player&#039;s Wizard spell ranks, with a -20% modifier for the article, and a -40% modifier for the gender.  For the purposes of this formula, ranks in the Wizard Base Spell Circle are capped at the wizard&#039;s level.  As such, the maximum chances to apply the requested article and gender are 80% and 60% respectively.&lt;br /&gt;

Every 100 skill bonus of Elemental Lore, Air will decrease the amount of time it takes for a familiar to find a player, with the maximum benefit occurring at 200 skill.  Familiars use a &amp;quot;round system&amp;quot; for travel and finding people. A round fluctuates depending on the calculated distance. The lore benefit reduces those rounds.&lt;br /&gt;

50 ranks of Elemental Lore, Water will unlock the ability to set an anchor to the naturally occurring earth[[node]] of a caster&#039;s choice. Setting an anchor will allow the mage to {{boldmono|TELL FAMILIAR TO GO ANCHOR}}, and the familiar will return to that room.  The controlling mage can set the anchor room remotely through the familiar using {{boldmono|TELL FAMILIAR ANCHOR}}.  The anchor is a setting specific to the mage and does not need to be reset when a new familiar is cast.  Each mage has one anchor setting.&lt;br /&gt;

75 ranks of Elemental Lore, Water will unlock the ability to {{boldmono|TELL FAMILIAR TO TRAVEL &amp;lt;town&amp;gt;}}.  The familiar will travel to any town within the same zone.  Once the familiar has reached the town, you may cast spell 930 to open a gate.&lt;br /&gt;

==Binding Rune and Familiar Talismans==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A wizard may choose to consistently call the same type of familiar by use the binding rune. Once the wizard has found a fellow wizard to teach him this rune, he must create the binding rune using a brush, ink and blank runestone, all available in the local alchemist shops. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once the wizard has a binding runestone, he must purchase a [[familiar talisman]] from the local Wizard Guild shop. &lt;br /&gt;
*{{boldmono|WAVE}} the binding runestone at the familiar talisman in order to prepare it&lt;br /&gt;
*{{boldmono|WAVE}} the prepared familiar talisman at the familiar of choice. &lt;br /&gt;

None of these items, however, will provide a greater mechanical benefit than what can be obtained by having a [[standard subscription]].&lt;br /&gt;

Once an account is upgraded to a monthly paying subscription (standard or [[premium]]), it cannot be reverted back.  &lt;br /&gt;

==Experience==&lt;br /&gt;
*The weekly Gift of Lumnis does not occur. It is accessible via a pass.&lt;br /&gt;

==Combat/Magic==&lt;br /&gt;
*No direct PvP attacks allowed. Mass Attack spells like [[Elemental Wave (410)]] that can hit players as well as creatures have a 30 second cooldown (to prevent careless spamming). If actually used to attack another player, this cooldown increases to 5 minutes (cooldown can be removed with a cooldown remover).&lt;br /&gt;
*Spells that significantly impact a room without attacking a player (notably [[Minor Sanctuary]]) are restricted from use.&lt;br /&gt;
*Attack spells (vs. creatures) are largely unrestricted, aside from the mass attack spell limitations noted above.  Sorcerers may cast [[Focused Implosion]].&lt;br /&gt;
*All beneficial spells are self-cast only, except for [[Spirit Warding I (101)]], [[Elemental Defense I (401)]], and [[Foresight (1204)]] which may be cast on others up to the 2 hour duration limit. Mass spells [[Mass Blur (911)]], [[Mass Colors (611)]] , and [[Mass Elemental Defense (419)]] will buff yourself but not your party. [[ARMOR]] abilities are also self-cast only. A casting pass allows casting on anyone else. If the caster does not have a casting pass, the receiving player can choose to purchase a receiving pass to allow any F2P caster to cast upon them. Only one pass needs to be present.&lt;br /&gt;

[[Login Rewards]] are awarded to characters that login daily on all types of accounts, but F2P subscribers receive fewer or a lesser form of what paying subscribers receive, as well as limits on the amount of rewards that can be stockpiled.  Also, F2P subscribers must logout and login each day (past 00:00 on game [[TIME]]) as the system will not keep track automatically for them.  &lt;br /&gt;

Currently F2P is limited to stockpile 1 Gift of the Gods and 1 Experience Booster, so they should be spent every month. In addition, only 2 daily [[Login bridge|login bridges]] may be stockpiled through login rewards, so at most one can only miss 2 consecutive days of logins to maintain a streak (without obtaining bridges from an alternate source).&lt;br /&gt;

Training Mana Control skills appropriate to a profession&#039;s sphere(s) will also add to a character&#039;s mana regeneration and grant the ability to [[multicast]] defensive spells.  &lt;br /&gt;

Any race or profession may develop the capacity to transfer mana points to any other race or profession, so long as the receiver and sender are both trained in the same Mana Control sphere.
