Helden Hall is not about warriors, it is about warrior spirit. It's an important distinction, and borne out by our membership roster. While we do count many influential warriors past and present amongst our numbers, we also have Rangers, Sorcerers, Empaths, Mages and Bards. No one is turned away from Apprenticeship based on their profession path. Those in Helden are united by their spirit ~ unflagging and honorable, steadfast and strong.

Honor, Strength and Loyalty is our motto and our raison d'etre. Though expressing these things differently, all members strive to make the motto a part of their daily life. Our internalization of this concept helps us contribute to the Lands in a positive manner through our actions.

==History==

In a small hamlet outside the city of Bergen lived two young Viking lovers named Ingrid and Bjorne. Their only cares in the world were their long ships and accompanying their clansmen on raids along the coast.

On one fateful trip, they met with a sudden squall that left their beloved long ship limping upon the raging sea. While working quickly to restore it for the journey home, a menacing ship of Krolvin slave merchants stumbled upon their foundering vessel. The battle was bloody and fierce, and all but the lovers were lost at sea, their beloved long ship left to sink to the murky depths.

They were immediately taken into captivity, and the Krolvin began to celebrate their victory. During the long sea voyage aboard the Krolvin slave ship, the lovers planned their escape. They waited until the revelry reached a fevered pitch and silently broke free of their bonds. Creeping across the deck, they hid until they saw all of the Krolvin were hopelessly drunk. Another bloody battle ensued, and this time the lovers were victorious. When they took over the ship, the found that not only was it in desperate need of repair, they were much closer to a strange and unknown town called Wehnimer's Landing. They decided that this place would have to do since they had no idea of the route the Krolvin took, and the ship was not long for the bottom of the sea.

Landing in this town was an experience. There were many who looked like them, tall as the trees and as strong as the mountains, but the way of life was very different from what they were used to. Raids were seldom done by large groups, and even then, only on beasts that lived nearby. They were looked down upon when they mentioned sacking the neighbors of their homeland. So, trying to fit in better, they found the location of a Krolvin encampment and began almost nightly raids on the ones who brought them to this strange new land.

They found they enjoyed their time in Wehnimer's Landing and after much debate decided that Vikings could settle down. Wanting to put down sturdy roots, they created a home for themselves and all warriors alike. A home that stands for something...a home for those who respect and follow the path of Honor...for those who understand Loyalty...and for those with Strength of mind and body. With the help of Lady Passion and Lord Metaboculous, the foundation was laid for Helden Hall. After almost two years of construction, Helden Hall opened their gates on day 15 of the month Fashanos in the year 5097 (February 15, 1997).

==Early Life==
Faiyth is the product of the assault of her sylvankind mother named Meekia by her dark elven father, Teron. Though Meekia was a sweet woman, Faiyth's father Teron is a infamous dark elven pirate whose heartless attacks of seaside towns had been ongoing for years. He had no conscious and killed indiscriminately, leaving many families destroyed. 
When Faiyth was born, Teron got word that he was a father and hunted down Faiyth and her mother when Faiyth was no more than a few days old. Upon finding them he murdered her mother and dumped baby Faiyth in the kobold village, hoping the creatures would finish her off.
The kobolds found her squirming and wiggling hilarious and instead raised her as one of them, though she was proclaimed by them to be the ugliest of them all. After much teasing and vaguely hilarious abuse by her kobold clanmates, she accidentally killed one who'd been bullying her rather bad and ended up being kicked out of the kobold village until she could learn to control her dark sorcerer magic.
Ashamed that she couldn't control herself she ventured to the Landing where she secretly began to learn her sorcery and get proficient at it. While there she met a half-elven man, dark, tall and handsome of course, and fell hopelessly in love. It being her first love she was quite naive. After their engagement Faiyth learned her fiance was cheating on her with a ton of other women and something inside her snapped. On that day she decided that men were dogs and couldn't be trusted. So she vowed to treat them like the animals they were and never again fall in love or allow them to hurt her.

Today Faiyth lives in the Landing, though she often visits her kobold clansmen in the kobold village. She's big on protecting her clan and can often be found in the kobold village yelling at people and chasing off any would be "murderers" from the village.
She currently owns over 1000 dresses because of her intense obsession with clothing. Having been raised by kobolds she tends to love anything sparkly or fancy. For this reason she has hoarded everything she can find into her lockers like a good little kobold packrat.
She absolutely hates boats and pirates because of her father and tries hard to never be caught out on open water without tons of friends. She worries someday her father Teron might learn she's alive and come finish the job by killing her. She can sometimes be found out at sea looking for her pirate father with a ginormous bunch, hoping to kill him before he can kill her.
When Faiyth's not hanging out with her kobold clansmen, hunting her father or hoarding tons of dresses, she can be found flirting or drinking heavily at Helga's or various other establishments. She still hates men and wants nothing more than to prove to them that she will never be fooled by any of them ever again. She hates love and believes it's all a farce meant to keep women down. She never wants to be married and vows to treat men as they treat women, as nothing more than toys to be played with and immediately discarded.

“I’ve a dear little dolly,” her mommy sang, lifting her from the soft covers of her bassinet.

Blowing bubbles, she attempted to lift her head and gaze at her mother’s face, but her heavy head fell back, leaving her staring at the ceiling. Waving her hands, she kicked at her mother’s arm to express her frustration.

When a knock came at the closed door, her mother frowned and paused to stare at it, her teeth worrying her bottom lip. “Yes?”

The knock came again, with no verbal response from the other side.

Her mother took a step back, clutching her tightly in her baby blankets. “Go away!”

Silence filled the room for a long moment, and then the knocking came again, louder this time as it reverberated through the room.

Her mother dashed to the bedroom and began opening cabinets and drawers frantically, jostling her. When her mother unceremoniously shoved her into a drawer, her newborn eyes scrunched with distress and she waved her hands, scratching herself.

“I’m sorry, honey. Please, stay quiet. You must not cry,” Her mother whispered, her eyes filling with tears as she slid her thumb over her bottom lip and murmured an incantation. “I love you.”

As the drawer was thrust shut, locking her inside, her world was cast into darkness. She waved her hands and kicked her feet, trying fruitlessly to cry, but was unable to utter a sound. When a loud crash filled the silence, she froze, startled.

“Go away!” her mother screamed.

“Where is it?” a deep voice growled.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Where, Meekia?”

Silence filled the blackness of her hiding place, making her want to cry again. She hated the dark.

“You won’t save it. I’ll find it with or without you.”

Her mother’s cries filled the silence, followed by a weak whimper of agony. “You can’t have her.”

Another crash came and then the entire world exploded with chaos and destruction. Stuck in her world of darkness, she startled at the violence right outside, her lips quivering as she screamed soundlessly. When her cries suddenly began making noise again, they were no more than pitiful mewling, unnoticeable against the overpowering tempest of sound. She listened desperately for the soft humming of her mother, but her voice was absent. Instead, she heard the sound of heavy footsteps as they paced the room.

“Where is it?” a deep voice whispered from right outside, the tone icy and threatening.

She waved her hands excitedly as the footsteps drew closer, but her world stayed dark.

“Miss?” Shouted a faraway voice. “Hello Miss? Miss!? Are you ok!? You have to move! There's a fire!”

The yelling alarmed her and she began to cry in earnest. The choking smell of smoke filled the darkness and sleep began creeping up on her, overtaking her senses. When the drawer was opened and an old man stared down at her with shock, she was hungry and exhausted, and she wanted her mommy. But her newborn desires were in vain; her mother’s lifeless corpse was lying in the fire-engulfed hallway like a broken doll.

[[Premium enhancive|Premium enhancives]] are created via the [[Premium]] points system through Sadie on the [[Isle of the Four Winds]]. This service converts a non-enhancive item the player already owns into a permanent enhancive item with 200 charges. There are four service levels, each allowing 1–2 enhancive properties to be added, with a maximum of +7 to any single property and a combined maximum of +10 if two properties are added.

A few important restrictions apply:

* Items already carrying an enhancive property of any kind are not eligible.
* The resulting item is account-attuned and cannot be used by other accounts.
* Armor concealers are not eligible.
* Level 1-2 services cost 1,800 Premium points; Level 3-4 cost 2,400 Premium points.

Premium enhancives are persistent and start fully charged at 200 charges. They are eligible for property swapping via [[Sylinaar]] at [[Ebon Gate Festival|Ebon Gate]]. For the full list of available properties by service level, see [[Premium enhancive]].

When assembling an enhancive set, individual item value matters significantly. Items with lower point totals create two compounding problems: they require more charging potions to maintain (more items to reach the maximum amount), and they consume inventory slots quickly. Items with at least 20-25 points of a desired property are generally the most practical building blocks.

A practical set-building progression:

This season's theme draws inspiration from sunbaked sands and wind-carved horizons, bringing a new palette and a new spirit to the woods. As always, our offerings will remain varied, but many of this year’s highlights carry a distinctly desert flavor.

The tournament returns with a new rivalry: Scorpion versus Jerboa.
Each side will bear its own colors:

* A jet black scorpion on a field of copper
