A shimmering fungus has got to be one of the largest fungi in the lands. Easily four feet tall, the fungi is nearly invisible against the backdrop of its surroundings thanks to its blended colors. The wide cap of the fungus exposes the large sacs on its underside, waiting to spread new spores on the wind. Light catches off the top of the cap, causing it to glitter slightly.

Hunting strategies
Some directly targeted spells will cause the fungus to create a handful of Maw Spores which act as aggressive creatures.

Shimmering Fungus may be affected by unfocused maelstrom, Cone of elements, and Ball Spells that splash damage onto it from targeting other critters.

WORK IN PROGRESS, WHAT I'VE FOUND SO FAR

You analyze your deep crimson cloak and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

The creator has also provided the following information:
A deep crimson cloak wrought from triple-layered gossamer cannot be detailed to indicate that it is completely skin-tight or that it isn't long enough to "billow up" in certain situations, but it is otherwise able to be altered, so long as it remains a cloak or cloak-like item.

The a deep crimson cloak wrought from triple-layered gossamer can be customized in the following manner, where any talented merchant can customize the bolded sections. Note that customizations cannot use first or third person references:

(RUB) You fiddle with the edges of your deep crimson cloak in a fit of nervous energy.

(STAND) You push back your deep crimson cloak and immediately shift into a relaxed stance.

(TOSS) With a flourish, you toss your deep crimson cloak over your shoulder, tilting your chin upward in a show of confidence.

(WAVE) You narrow your eyes, then suddenly step aggressively forward, letting your deep crimson cloak billow behind you.
(WAVE) Narrowing your eyes, you suddenly scoot aggressively sideways, dragging your deep crimson cloak along the ground/floor.

(BOW) Pulling up the edges of your deep crimson cloak, you execute a stately bow.

Currently, you are able to use RUB, STAND, TURN, NUDGE, TOSS, WAVE (with target), BOW, and SPIN. This cloak may only be unlocked further within special, rare circumstances.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the deep crimson cloak for you or have its pockets deepened.

Your character's current and maximum spirit points can be found using the HEALTH command. The amount of maximum spirit points a character has is determined by that character's Aura statistic divided by 10, rounded (i.e. 95 Aura will give 10 maximum spirit.) Maximum spirit can be increased though enhancive items, to an ultimate maximum of 13 points.

Different races will recover spirit at different intervals, or spirit regeneration rates. In addition, Clerics and Empaths can MEDITATE to gain spirit back faster, as is done with health and mana.

* Some undead can drain spirit with a successful physical attack followed by a successful warding roll.
* Certain advanced Alchemy recipes require the alchemist to channel spirit points into the formulation. (This always consumes 2 points.)
* Casting certain Cleric and Paladin spells can require spirit points, notably Well of Life (308) and Raise Dead (318).
* Certain high-level areas such as the Rift and the Elemental Confluence can drain spirit upon entry.
Having fewer than 1 spirit point results in a spirit death.
Low Spirit Penalties
A character may experience penalties to combat modifiers when they have less than full spirit points. The exact penalties for having less than maximum spirit are outlined in the table below (as per the post by GM Oscuro on 23 January 2009 and GM Estild on 19 November 2014). Note that these penalties have exceptions for enhanced spirit point totals beyond 10 (the maximum possible without enhancive items).
*Maximum Spirit Enhancives - The characters maximum spirit is considered to be 10 for the purpose of low spirit penalties. That is, if the characters maximum spirit is 11, 12, or 13, they will only experience penalties when their spirit point total reaches 7 or less.
*Aura Enhancives - The characters maximum spirit total is used as normal. That is, if the character has 8/11, 8/12, or 9/13 spirit, they will to experience penalties.
*Combined Spirit/Aura Enhancives - The characters maximum spirit total, as determined by their enhanced aura statistic is considered before max spirit enhancers. For instance, a character with an aura of 125-130 and any number of max spirit enhancers will have 13 spirit and will experience penalties at 9/13 spirit.

Training points are points characters acquire as they gain experience. A character uses the training points to train up in their various skills.

There are two types of training points. Mental training points and physical training points. They are calculated by the following formula:

<div ><tt>MTPs = 25 + [(LOG + INT + WIS + INF + ((AUR + DIS) &divide; 2)) &divide; 20]<br>PTPs = 25 + [(STR + CON + DEX + AGI + ((AUR + DIS) &divide; 2)) &divide; 20]</tt></div>
:Note: A character's prime requisites are doubled for the above formulas.

A character maxed out in their stats could, therefore, have a maximum of 50 TPs of each type per level. If two of the stats are prime requisites of the character's class, the maximum TPs that can be obtained are 60. For example, a rogue has two physical stats as the prime requisites: dexterity and agility. Therefore, a rogue can have a maximum of 60 PTPs and 50 MTPs in a given level.
