Jousting is the featured event at Rumor Woods, pitting two rival teams against one another in friendly mounted combat.

General Information
Those who are interested in jousting must first choose which side they will ride for. They will then don traditional jousting gear, saddle up on their steed of choice, and prepare for battle! Jousting wins will be tallied toward your faction’s total, and once the event ends, those aligned with the winning side will receive not only bragging rights, but new titles as well!

Prizes
Favor Cost
Spoiler

Symbol of Turning has a base cost which is dependent on the member's level (not member's rank). See Table for specific examples.

The base cost, for either the targeted or untargeted (mass attack) version, applies when there is one undead creature in the room. This base cost has a relative cost of 3x Symbol of Protection's favor cost. The mass attack version (untargeted) has an escalating cost that increases when more than one undead is present. Favor cost for this symbol is capped at 8 undead creatures regardless of the number actually affected. Since living creatures are unaffected by Symbol of Turning their presence does not increase favor cost.
These jars hold up to 20 doses of items used in alchemy, such as alchemy drops, foraged items, and gems. The jars do not hold skins. The jars reduce those 21 items (including the jar) to just one item for item inventory quantity reasons. This feature is a huge boon to alchemists and Adventurer's Guild gem hoarders because of the 500-item limit.

Shortly after the release of the jars, GM Bernt opened a merchant tent that traveled to different towns selling jars, bottles and beakers that held 50 doses instead of the standard 20. The shop was simply called Inside a White Tent. 100-item jars were later released at Duskruin Arena costing 250 bloodscrip.
Glass jars are sold throughout Elanthia in local alchemist shops.

A full 100-item jar will weigh 11 lbs when full of gems and 50 lbs when full of herbs. Weight will scale down based on capacity.

This glass jar is designed to hold small, nearly identical items -- in particular, gems, alchemy ingredients other than critter skins, etc.

Alterations are permitted to the base description following the 15/15/15 rule in ALTER 2, provided that it continues to make sense that the contents would be identifiable without looking inside.

It can hold a maximum of 20 items. PUT items in to store them. SHAKE the jar to get them back out.
The Ravelin is a small town in the Elven Nations region, located a bit north/northwest of Ta'Vaalor.

The Ravelin was originally the fortress only at the top of the bluff. It was built to keep an eye on traffic in the Mistydeep and exert Vaaloran control over it. Over the centuries, the local shops that serviced the fort became a small village and recreational area for Vaalorans to escape the Fortress in the summer and enjoy fresh air. The architecture is more relaxed and natural than that of the Fortress.
History
The Ravelin is a Vaalorian settlement that was established as a significant hamlet on Restday, the 5th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 5th, 2007).

The Battle for the Ravelin
The battle for the Ravelin took approximately seventeen (17) days during Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 2007).
* On Restday, the 5th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 5th, 2007), Vaalorian scouts report an increase of Neartofar orc activity.

* On Restday, the 12th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 12th, 2007), reports from Vaaloran guards state that the Ravelin was subjected to a probing attack by the Neartofar orcs.

* On The Day of the Huntress, the 17th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 17th, 2007), the Neartofar orcs successfully lay claim to the Ravelin and begin to create defensive barricades, protected by a strong magic.

* On The Day of the Huntress, the 17th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 17th, 2007), war refugees from the Vaaloran countryside begin to pour into Ta'Vaalor due to the ongoing skirmishes and the occupying Neartofar forces inside of the Ravelin.

* On Leyan, the 22nd day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 22nd, 2008), Vaalorian mages, led by Lieutenant Atharin, with support from local adventurers, attacked the entrenched enemy forces and successfully removed the magic from the first barricade, allowing it to be razed. However, a second one at Wyvern Plaza denied further access to the liberating forces.

* On The Day of the Huntress, the 24th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 24th, 2007), Vaaloran mages, lead by Lieutenant Atharin, with support from, the Army, militias, and local adventurers, attacked the entrenched enemy forces and successfully removed the magic from the second barricade, allowing it to be razed.

* On Feastday, the 25th day of Phoenatos, in the year 5107 (August 25th, 2007), the Vaaloran Army, led by Captain Frentilein, with assistance from Lieutenant Atharin, Lieutenant Thissa, and local adventurers, successfully liberated the Ravelin from the occupying forces.
