It provides a base of +25 to [[DS]] and +20 to [[TD]], as well as the ability to empower the cloak with the ability to give retribution to a sorcerer&#039;s foes. In addition, it provides approximately 1% defensive benefit against [[SMRv2]] spells and maneuvers for every 25 sorcerer spell ranks, capped at your level. Weapons made of certain materials, such as [[Kroderine]], prevent the attacker from receiving any damage from this spell. &lt;br /&gt;

Training in [[Sorcerous Lore, Demonology]] increases the probability for the cloak to retaliate from a base of 70% by 1% for every 2 ranks, up to a maximum of 95% at 50 ranks.  The caster must be [[stun]]ned or otherwise incapacitated and taking damage from an attack for this effect to have the possibility of being triggered.  Should the retribution effect fail, there is an additional 5% chance that it will strike back at its master, causing injury and possible spirit drain.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If an escape spell is chanted, the cloak is guaranteed to strike back at its master, although the severity of said backlash is somewhat less severe (this occurs with [[Spirit Guide (130)]] and [[Planar Shift (740)]]). Otherwise, choice of spell has no influence on the outcome.&lt;br /&gt;

Possessing no special spells, maneuvers or tricks, combating zombies is a simple and relatively safe endeavor. With a fairly slow movement speed, players can stance dance for one to two swings, and casters may safely bolt or channel up to three spells from offensive without risk. Being that they are undead (and of course, capable of sheer fear), a bless is required for weapon based combat, and they are immune to standard stuns. Pity the poor zombie, an animated corpse abandoned long ago by her creator.  The skin of the zombie has turned a sickly grey, her clothing hangs in tattered ribbons, and she barely keeps control over her death-stiffened muscles.  Her mouth, once sewn shut to hold the salt necessary in the animation process, has broken open again, salt dribbling from the parched, thread-covered lips.  The zombie verbally threatens and attacks anyone she believes may interfere with her quest to return to the grave.&lt;br /&gt;

Possessing no special spells, maneuvers or tricks, combating zombies is a simple and relatively safe endeavor. With a fairly slow movement speed, players can stance dance for one to two swings, and casters may safely bolt or channel up to three spells from offensive without risk. Being that they are undead (and of course, capable of sheer fear), a bless is required for weapon based combat, and they are immune to standard stuns.
