Dear Socius,

I had to reach out to you. I would leave you alone, to quietly live out your days with the Iyo. All I want for you is to have a sense of peace, if being with the Iyo gives you that, my heart is overjoyed.

However, we have trouble regarding your family’s claim on the isle. As you have named Zofiya your heir, and she is not blood, and apparently the contract is a matter of bloodline. The Harbor is now in peril of being sold by the Chronomages. Which means many families and others will have their homes taken from them. I would not call in a favor of you unless it was dire. I think you know me well enough to know that my honor would not brook the subject unless it was a matter of keeping others safe.

The people of the Harbor have decided to try and stand against the decision of the Chronomages and stay. You and I both know that will not go well, as the Chronomages have the power and the wealth to move anyone they wish.

I ask you, my friend, to consider coming back and settling this matter; not for me, not for Zofiya, but for all the people who might be saved. I saved you Socius because I knew you were worth saving, not for the isle, not for friendship, but because deep down, I know you try to do what is right, regardless of your nature.
