This had always been her place of comfort, as there was no other place in the whole world that she felt safest outside of the Wyrdeep. Opening the heavy ironwood door, she made her way inside. The sight of her little home greeted her with modest comfort, the afternoon’s winter sun shone through the aqua-hued windows bathing the interior in warm light. She removed her outer robe and placed it on the bed before fishing a small pouch out of her musette. She laid it there on the writing table, the insignia of the mist harbor militia embroidered upon it.
