| Requires an empty hand. Vissi creates a link between you and a target hostile creature, attempting to rip a part of its essence and trap it in a grinsawl (card). If successful, a physical card will be created in your hand.

If the initial attempt is unsuccessful, another attempt will be made every five seconds until you either succeed or 30 seconds expires, at which point the link breaks. Most physical actions will also break the link.

Upon successful capture or the expiration of the link, a Soul Lash SMR attack will be performed.

Limitations:

*You cannot form a link with a creature more than 10 levels above you. This prohibition is waived upon reaching level 100; by that point you are powerful enough that level limits need not be placed on you.
*You cannot attempt to capture the essence of non-hostiles.
*You cannot attempt to capture the essence of fellow Elanthian adventurers.

There are factors that can work in your favor, or detriment, when attempting a capture:

*You will accrue a penalty to your attempt for every level a creature is above your own.
*You will receive a bonus to your attempt for each tier beyond the first for your Collector vissi.
*You will receive a rapidly escalating bonus for each 5-second attempt beyond the first until the link breaks at 30 seconds.

To give you an idea of what to expect:

*A tier 1 Collector vissi will capture any creature of the same level or lower as you within 15 seconds. As long as the link persists, you cannot fail.
*A tier 1 Collector vissi will result in about a 50% chance of failure if linking to a creature 10 levels above you (the maximum level difference and highest penalty modifier) at the full 30 seconds mark.
*Tiering the vissi up will result in quicker captures of same and lower-aged creatures, or higher chances of successfully capturing creatures higher than your level.

| If you hold an unfoiled grinsawl in your hand, the vissi will create a link between the grinsawl and an identical creature. Upon successful capture, the essence of the identical creature type will be transferred to your held grinsawl, sealing it with bronze, silver, or gold. (i.e., if you trapped a kobold in a grinsawl, you can make a foil attempt by linking to another kobold.)

Capture mechanics are exactly the same as the aversaris orb, including the Soul Lash SMR attack.

Foiling chances are as follows:

*Tier 1: 85% chance of bronze foil, 10% chance of silver foil, 5% chance of gold foil.
*Tier 2: 70% chance of bronze foil, 20% chance of silver foil, 10% chance of gold foil.
*Tier 3: 50% chance of bronze foil, 35% chance of silver foil, 15% chance of gold foil.
*Tier 4: 30% chance of bronze foil, 45% chance of silver foil, 25% chance of gold foil.
*Tier 5: 10% chance of bronze foil, 50% chance of silver foil, 40% chance of gold foil.

Grinsawl may only be foiled once.
