He and his wife left their home in [[Eloth-Ra]] in mid-5104 to travel west after he was hired by the [[Dark Alliance]] for what he considered the project of a lifetime - to revive the former psionic-turned-banshee [[Harith]] in a way that she might be returned to a corporeal form. He did not care about the war for the [[Griffin Sword]] otherwise and felt that the risk in leaving their homeland was worth the opportunity to study one of the most powerful mentalists to exist - and to delve into the theological ramifications of what was left of both mind and spirit after death. He was willing to sell all of their joint possessions to fund their journey west. Prior to leaving Eloth-Ra, he had abandoned his calling as a cleric to learn elemental magic as a sorcerer.<br /> <br /> Deshian&#039;s &quot;project&quot; with Harith ultimately was unsuccessful. He and Harith both were killed when the anchor that Deshian had used, another who was dedicated to Mularos alongside Harith, was slain.
