1. Upcoming Events:

MASQUERADE PARTY!
You are Cordially invited to attend the Order of the Lorekeeper's First
Annual Masquerade Party and Parade on May 8th at 7:00 PM EST. Join the fun
first when the Parade passes through Icemule Trace, and then as it goes to
Wehnimer's Landing, stopping at the Silverwood Manor. Then join the party
of costumes and color! Helga's Tavern will provide refreshments and the
music will be provided by a local group of bards. The merriment continues
toward the end of the event with a Costume Contest, with a prize for first
place winner! Come celebrate the fun of the Lorekeeper's Masquerade Party,
and bring your costumes!

THE FESTIVAL OF OLEANI - TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
The Festival of Oleani, a celebration of spring, complete with games,
parades, dancing, bardic competition, food, drink, and a whole ton of fun
is coming your way from May 14-16! Join us as we take a dance around the
maypole or test your luck at one of our new gambling games! Enjoy the fun

SPRING HOUSE FESTIVALS
House Brigatta and Twilight Hall are holding Spring Festivals on May 1st
and May 2nd. Join us Saturday for a public vow renewal/wedding ceremony
for all Elanthian couples in Brigatta's Garden Bower, and Sunday for
Twilight Hall's annual scavenger hunt. For more information about the

2. Recent Releases:

HOUSES IN ICEMULE TRACE
The House Controller has announced that Rone Academy and White Haven will
be the first organized houses built in the Icemule Trace area, and River's
Rest will feature House Jakarta as its first house. The first houses to
be built outside of Wehnimer's Landing are Obsidian Tower and Dire Wolves
Clan. White Haven is expected to be the next house opening - probably
sometime this Spring, assuming the weather holds for the construction
crew! Jakarta and Willow Hall are expected this Summer!

SHOO, DISKS!
After a moment of intense paranoia brought on by being followed by his
disk, the Headmaster of the Wizards' Academy has made disks more
obedient! You can now DISMISS your disk and make it leave you be. You
can DISMISS your friends as well, but the Headmaster makes no guarantee of
their ability to follow orders.

NEW TOWER ON SENTOPH!
After a long, laborious construction by a team of dark dwarves that
travelled from the Southern jungles, the Obsidian Tower of the Dhe'nar was
finally opened for residence. The famous storyteller and Lorekeeper from
abroad, Memoria Antiquitatis was on hand to tell the dark and heroic
history of the place.

REAP THE REWARDS OF GOOD ROLEPLAYING!
Roleplaying is the heart and soul of GemStone III, so we've stepped up our
efforts to preserve and promote the integrity of Elanthia. More tools have
been made available to GameMasters and GameHosts to enforce In-Character
behavior on the amulet - and they're on the lookout for exceptional
roleplayers! Act in a manner consistent with the medieval fantasy world
and you not only enrich the environment, but you could be rewarded with
experience-increasing Roleplaying awards!

BEWARE THE JANITOR!
In a world where millions of items are constantly being created
manipulated, there is a lot of potential lag associated with making the
calculations that track those items. We created the "janitor" as part of
our object and memory management system to reduce lag, increase the number
of players that can exist in the game, and improve the overall performance
of the game.
Items lost to the janitor cannot be replaced. Protect your valuables by
never putting them on the ground except to get rid of them, and by
retrieving items that are put on the ground for you as quickly possible.

GLADIATOR GAMES! HOUSE-SPONSORED TRIALS
The yearly House sponsored Gladiator Games are currently underway. Come
enjoy the spectacle and root for your fellow members to be declared
Elanthia's House Gladiator Games Champion! Ask your House Officers to sign
you up today. Spectators are welcome!

THE BETRAYAL OF LORMINSTRA QUEST CONTINUES!
There are still plenty of tickets for the first in our new series of
quests, "The Betrayal of Lorminstra"! Check the web site for information
and registration - don't miss out on this exciting new quest!

All quests begin at 10 PM EST. Upcoming Betrayal of Lorminstra start-dates:

5/7: levels 75-100
5/21: levels 95+
