1. Upcoming Events:

GEMSTONE III NEW PLAYER NIGHT
The staff of GemStone III invites you to participate in New Player Night,
Thursday, June 24th. Beginning at 9 PM EST, mentors will be on hand to
give you tips, hints, hunting trips and tours of the land. This is an
excellent opportunity for you to meet with fellow adventurers, explore the
online world of Elanthia, and discover for yourself why thousands of
players log in every day to play GemStone III!

THE AIRSHIP FOEHN'S PROMISE IS COMING YOUR WAY!
Join in the festivities of our first-ever Bazaar aboard the airship
Foehn's Promise! The Bazaar will be open on July 17th and 18th from 4 PM
until approximately 9 PM EST. Everyone who attends will receive a token to
cast at their choice of lots, and no one goes home empty-handed! Visit the

WILLOW HALL MENTORING CLASSES
Every Monday evening at 11pm EST, Willow Hall offers weekly mentoring
classes which include lessons, fields trips and activities. Willow Hall
events occur at the east jetty, in Wehnimer's Landing. All are invited to
attend!

NEW TITLES AND PROFESSION NAMES AVAILABLE!
After extensive research and late night study, scholars have perfected a
new method for letting the world know who you are! There are now settable
titles and profession names available. You can now toggle your title on
and off at will, and easily select from a variety of professions available
to you at your level.
You can also gain access to more profession names as your character ages!
For more information on the new title and profession system, read in-game
NEWS 75. Look for more expansion on the title system coming soon!

3. Continuing Events:

NEW PLAYER TOURS!
New to GemStone III? Learn your way around Elanthia by joining daily New
Player Tours led by live GameHosts. For a list of tour times, type TOUR in-
game. To participate, login to play during the scheduled times and type
JOIN TOUR within the game.

In addition to tours, Mentors are online 24 hours a day hosting Q&A
sessions and other special events for players of all levels. Keep up to
date on all the latest in Elanthia by reading in-game NEWS. Following are
a few events you shouldn't miss:

Storytelling at River's Rest - Hosted by The Order of Lorekeepers on the
1st and 15th of every month at 10 PM EST. Read NEWS 53 for more details.

First Fridays Festival of Learning - Hosted by The House of the Argent
Aspis on the first Friday of every month at 10 PM EST. Read NEWS 19 for
more details.

Museum Tours - Hosted by The Order of Lorekeepers and Helden Hall every
second Monday of the month at 8 PM EST. Read NEWS 28 for more details.

4. The Grapevine:

BEWARE THE END OF JUNE?
It appears that a fortuitous alignment of the moons, a fresh cup of tea
leaves (and several hefty bribes) have allowed our resident gypsy
fortuneteller to see farther, and more clearly, into the future then she
ever has before! In a recent interview, she proclaimed that the end of
June should be particularly interesting time for all Elanthians. "I see
death and destruction sweeping the lands clean of all life forms!" When
questioned further, she stated "Oh, no, it's not that at all, what was I
thinking? Goodness, a nice pint will help me see more clearly I think."
She then cackled, hastily gathered her cards, and went off to Helga's,
mumbling "Just see if I'll tell them what great fun is headed their way..."

5. Premium News:

PREMIUM VERB DEBUTS!
Premium members, known in-game as Four Winds members, have a number of new
features to enjoy. First is the new PREMIUM verb which displays
information about premium membership, how to find and use benefits, and
advanced announcements for premium members (such as upcoming merchants
scheduled for appearance at Four Winds Hall). Be sure to check PREMIUM
often so you don't miss anything!

CATEGORY 52 OPENS!
Category 52, "Four Winds Members" is now open on the Gemstone message
board and is devoted to the issues and interests of premium members. GM
Meriel is the new Premium Services Coordinator, and GM Ramou the new
Premium Guru for for Gemstone. Mark your calendar for June 27th at 9:30
PM EST for the next premium member meeting!
