			Citizens of Icemule Trace:

			I applaud your valiant efforts in defending our snowy city this evening. I attempted to assist in combat but was quickly slain by a towering ice golem. I'm afraid I'm well past my prime in hunting and town defense, and will instead continue to sort through paperwork in the Mayor's office as we launch our next series of town improvements.

			The Mayor was delighted, even in her weakened state, to have been visited by such caring citizens. She assures me (and Kilded, the lad who won the chance to visit her) that Empath magicks as we know it are unable to cure her of this malady. She remains steadfast in her commitment to the town, and has now told many that she trusts that I am performing my job well as appointed by her. Spread all the false facts you want, naysayers! I'm here to stay, at least for the time being. Hmph!

			During the impromptu invasion in which we successfully defended our town from the horrific onslaught, I noticed that the Mayor Cruxophim and Seomanthe of Wehnimer's Landing came up to assist, and were quite helpful. I also have learned just tonight that Leafiara was appointed as Ambassador of the Landing to Icemule. I am thrilled at the chance to form stronger diplomatic ties between these two city-realms. Icemule citizens, If you've an ounce of diplomacy or interest in politics in you, please reach out and report to Oubar or myself about the recent snowfall, the events that have transpired, and other relevant issues.

			On another note, I'm pleased to announce that I have scheduled the first meeting of ICICLE (the Icemulian Collective for the Improvement of Civilian Life, Etc.). After this meeting, I will not be in charge of scheduling meetings, because the first duty of the collective will be to elect a Chair and assign various roles to the members.

			Those chosen at random were:

			We will meet in front of Clovertooth Hall on Niiman, 7th Eorgaen in the year 5117, at 9 in the evening as the elves count the hour. The first item of action is to elect a Chair and Co-Chair, as well as handle some routine paperwork for forming a committee. I am not in charge of this committee. I will serve only as advisor and in an ex-officio (i.e., non-voting) capacity. Please help spread the word to those who have been selected so that they are aware of this crucial first meeting!

			ICICLErs: If you are unable to make it to this meeting but will plan to be around for the next, reach out to Oubar, the IMT TownCrier, to let him know. If you are no longer interested in taking part in this venture, send word to Hibbits before Niiman, 7th so you can be replaced.

			I can't help but reiterate that I remain steadfast in my concern for the unprecedented amount of snowfall! No one will change my mind on this climate change despite Jalodg's fake accusations! Say what you will about orbs, shadows, platforms, disks, domes... all I hear is SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! Have you seen how eerily it sparkles of late?! Unnaturally! There's some weather magic afoot, and I'll find a way to prove it to you. Hmph.

			Last, I noticed a strange perturbation in the sky just after I was raised in Town Center last night. I chose not to stay and investigate. Did something strange occur with that anomaly? Do let me know in stride so I can inform the Mayor. I'll be in touch with the Warden to ask about this "Daukhera Darkflorr" in the coming days. I believe he is on sabbatical at the moment and has left the penitentiary under magical wards, but I'll confirm.

			I'm thrilled everyone had a wonderful visit to Nihala's cottage, and hope you enjoyed defending the town as much as the town enjoyed being defended by you.

Citizens of Icemule Trace:
In an attempt to address some of the rumors which have begun to spring up about town, please note the following: Mayor Nihala has been stricken with a curious and unknown malady that has made it impossible for her to continue her sworn duties at present. You may be aware that she has not been seen in public for some time, and I hasten to assure you that there is no need for concern. To that end I, the Deputy Mayor, will serve as Interim Mayor, effective immediately. Citizens should expect to see no change in the level of service from the Office of the Mayor, all town officials, and other civic services to which you have become accustomed. Citizens can, of course, address any concerns to me directly. Any problems which might arise will be handled with the same expediency as always.

Other items of note: Clovertooth Hall has received multiple requests for permits to build, improve upon, and enhance local facilities. I will advise the public if and when these projects are allowed to proceed. Additionally, Berrytoe has submitted plans to renovate the general store, and these plans have been approved. Thus, the general store will be closed for a short time in the coming days while these renovations take place.

Last, regarding any strange sightings during recent snowstorms or other oddities some citizens have reported seeing or hearing about town, I can assure you that we are keeping a close eye on things, and will deal with any anomalies with haste, just as we have always done.

Citizens of Icemule Trace:

It has come to my attention that a slew of creatures with little regard for halfling lives made it past our town's defenses last night. I find this fairly disconcerting, as our town's walls have not been breached for at least a decade. You have my word that I will look into how this could have happened, and what can be done to prevent it from happening again. There was also a report from one citizen that a gate guard was crying out about his lack of combat training, and inability to defend the gate. This is quite serious, and will be looked into. These guards hold our lives in their hands every day, and if they are truly unable to perform their duties, it's a travesty that must be rectified at once.

With regard to the rumors of voices chanting my name from the shadows last night, I can only assume they were shouting "Hibbits" in support of my efforts to lead this proud city forward despite Nihala's maladies. I am confused by these whisperings of "orbs of power" about town. I am aware of no such things. I wonder if those who speak of having seen them are suffering some kind of post-invasion trauma, or are otherwise imagining them.

I remain steadfast in my concern for the unprecedented amount of snowfall, unheard of even for our frigid mountain town, and I encourage us all to continue to remain vigilant, just as we were last night. Stay at the ready should we be required to come together again; trust that I will continue to be by your side defending our home as I was mere hours ago.

Last, though many have petitioned me for information, I have no updates on Mayor Nihala, but my assistants continue to report that they are tending to her needs.

I will address these and other issues during my upcoming appearance at Clovertooth Hall.
