New page

Tilamaires, day 7 of Fashanos, 5123 (02/07/2023)

The letter arrived, thick with my mothers perfume and her handwriting. I read it eagerly, as any news from home was welcome, especially now, but the words left me crestfallen.

I couldn't help but think of the countless hours I had spent with my fellow handmaidens, tending to the needs of those around us and serving Ta'Illistim. The thought of leaving them, of abandoning my duties, filled me with a mix of guilt and sadness.

But as I read the letter again, the fear in my parents' words was palpable. They had always been protective of me, but this time it was different. They were truly afraid for my life.

I knew deep down that I had to listen to their advice and make the journey home. The thought of being reunited with my family, of being safe and protected once again, brought me a sense of peace amidst the turmoil.

I made the difficult decision to leave my post as a handmaiden and set off on the journey home to Ta'Loenthra, hoping and praying that I would arrive safely and be able to put the fears of my parents to rest.
