Sprouting from between the wall hangings at regular intervals are tall red candles in copper sconces, while a pair of large braziers hang from the ceiling, dispensing an overbearing musky odor into the air. You also see a copper sign tacked to the wall.

Between turns at the fire, a trio of Tehir women chop vegetables and prepare small doughy pockets upon makeshift tables to either side of the pit.

Four rows of ivory columns fill the area, ending at a broad patchwork yierka-hide curtain across the back wall. In the center of the room is a long buffet table, containing a variety of desserts.
