Several frayed chairs form a loose semicircle around the hearth like decrepit kings holding court. Decades of pipe smoke has seeped into the surroundings, leaving the air stale with its burnt herbal tang, but a fresher floral scent rises from a small hoarbeam herb box to sweeten the air. You also see a raw-boned halfling tavernkeeper, a wicker wastebin and a swirled steel bowl full of sticks.
