As you continue to focus your song on the tome, the images begin to come clearer with each note sung. The warlock carefully inscribes words into the cover of the tome, using an elaborate black feathered quill. He glances up from his work, and the glint of the torchlight reflects on a faint tear forming in his eye. You sense his thoughts, a fond memory of a day when his race was abundant and powerful, and a sadness in his isolation, with only the words of Noi'sho'rah to comfort him.

As you continue your melody, another Dhe'nar warlock, much younger than the first, enters the study carrying several large scroll cases. The apprentice pauses as he watches the master, leaning over the table as his tear forms in his eye and begins to roll down his cheek. Just as the tear begins to drops to splatter on the tome, it shimmers with a spark of magic and crystalizes instantly, falling to the unmarred parchment like a tiny glistening gem.

The apprentice watches the master silently for a moment, then asks a question too faintly for you to make out the words. and the warlock pauses from his writing to look up. Patiently he removes and folds his wire-rimmed spectacles, and smiles slightly at the younger mage. "One day, you will understand." the warlock answers. The apprentice nods knowingly, and turns with a bow, going about his business of cleaning up the study as your vision fades.
