			The Miritar family is one of minor nobility but great pride, particularly in the long tradition of noted magical talent. Virion, however, displayed little aptitude or interest in the arcane, much to the chagrin of his parents. His twin brother, Merithynos, on the other hand showed much promise at even a very young age. But in contrast to the physically robust Virion, Merith was frail and sickly and sadly died of his malady before his sixteenth year.

			Now a member of the Sapphire Guard, Virion has described himself as an outrider--essentially a light cavalry scout dedicated patrolling the wilder areas surrounding the city-state's holdings. He seems to share an adventurous past with the treasure hunter and professor [[Cydris]], though he has not shown much inclination to speak of it. The two have apparently only recently reconnected, with their time spent together of late fluctuating between warm and somewhat awkward.
