Drakar is mined most often in locations that have high amounts of volcanic activity, or did at one point in the past, such as Teras Isle. It is rumored that the metal is formed deep in the earth and is expelled with the lava. Drakar is one of four materials that have an enchant similar to mithril but possess flares. The other materials being zorchar, rhimar, and gornar.

Drakar is flat and unreflective, bright white in color, and speckled with crimson dots.
