The pour verb allows you to pour out liquids on or in the specified target. POUR is utilized by the tempering system (Enchant Item (925)) and allows liquid versions of herbs and potions to be administered to dead players.
Potions and pourable herbs may be combined by pouring one into another, becareful to only combine the same liquids -- mixing liquids can have disasterous results!
