The Night in a Nutshell

[General] Cordarius thinks, "I'm no Mustafo, but I'll do."
[General] Cordarius thinks, "Ahem. I'm no Mustafo, but I'll do."
[travel]
Cordarius smiles.
Cordarius helps himself to a handful of tiny peanut butter cookies.
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Been researching your Landing figures, eh?"
Cordarius says, "These are amazing."
Cordarius takes a bite of his peanut butter cookies.
Cordarius grins at Leafiara.
[General] Cryheart thinks, "We are on Hearthstone porch with Cordarius."
Cordarius says, "Magisters always do research before we invade."
Cordarius snickers to himself.
Cordarius glances at Cryheart.
Cryheart glances at Cordarius.
Cryheart asks, "Aye?"
Cordarius says, "Next time a flare spell might be quieter."
Cordarius smirks.
Cryheart begins chortling at Cordarius.
Cordarius takes a bite of his peanut butter cookies.
Cordarius says, "Feastday, the night of, we'll need to make our attempt on the statue."
Cordarius asks, "Has anyone else tested bleakstone?"
Cordarius says, "I did a bit. Unfortunately, no breakthroughs."
Leafiara admits, "I haven't tried melting it in lava yet, no."
Cordarius nods at Leafiara.
Cordarius says, "Haven't tried that yet."
Cordarius says, "I think a volcano dump is our best bet."
Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr says, "When we were getting the statue, I used just about any magic I had on it, not many results."
Xainthrax suggestively says, "Kroderine box, bottom of Darkstone Bay."
Cordarius says, "I'd rather gamble on fire, than the bay."
Leafiara says, "Magister Raelee pointed out a potential flaw with the volcano plan--"
Cordarius says, "We already have an Ithzir pyramid in the bottom of the Bay that Dennet poked around inside."
Lylia coolly says, "You have already decided for us, then, that it is to be destroyed. I see."
Cordarius asks, "Let's discuss this then. What're the objections to a volcano?"
Leafiara says, "How would we even know if the volcano dump works? Lava's pretty opaque and it could just sink in but remain intact."
Cordarius says, "And yes. I did last time we spoke. I thought I made that perfectly clear."
Cordarius nods at Lylia.
Raelee says, "... that is operating under the assumption that a volcano will destroy it. If it does not, I could retrieve it. One must think I would not be the only one capable."
Leafiara says, "It's one thing for a volcano to be the last resort. Another thing for it to be the first resort."
Cordarius nods at Leafiara.
Cordarius asks, "Then have other first resorts been discussed?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Alchemy."
Cordarius asks, "What if...I could provide a coffin to place the statue in? Would that keep elementals away?"
Cordarius says, "Granted, it would prevent it from melting perhaps but..."
Cordarius says, "Alchemy? Continue."
Cordarius nods at Raelee.
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "... and let us not treat bane coffins as so disposable that we toss them in volcanoes."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Alchemy. As I discussed with the Mayor several evenings ago... there was much speculation about what it would take to render the bleakstone inert and useless."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And thus the speculation led to removing its power. However, when the power is part of the essence of the substance, one does not just remove it. Rhimar is not rhimar without the ice."
Cordarius asks, "What would it take?"
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And thus to remove its power is to alter its very essence. And when you want to change the form of something, that is when we utilize alchemy."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "That is the question, is it not? As others have noted... it is reactive to blood. Blood alchemy is not precisely a... well-developed science."
Cordarius says, "Let me go back a bit, and tell you some things we'll need that night."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "But... is experimentation not a core of our directive?"
Cordarius nods at Raelee.
Cordarius says, "Whatever we intend to do...wherever we intend to do it..."
Cordarius says, "In a few nights, the statue will be traveling back here."
Cordarius says, "On a ship."
Cordarius says, "Vlashandra will likely try to come for it. My hope is we can man the ship, protect the cargo, and be a good distraction for when we portal the statue away to perform the ritual. Whatever that looks like, or wherever."
Cordarius says, "I am also working on a plan to get us Vlashandra. We'll see."
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Good, then you have not forgotten Thadston Andrews in this."
Cordarius looks over at Lylia and shakes his head.
Speaking softly to Cordarius, Alosaka says, "Be sure to let us know how we can help with that part."
Cordarius nods at Alosaka.
Cryheart asks, "Could a false statue be made to lure, Vlashandra into a trap?"
Cordarius says, "Vlashandra is my second priority."
Cordarius says, "The first, is Thadston."
Lylia says, "Bleakstone would be hard to counterfeit up close, but from a distance, it might pass."
Cordarius says, "We could paint you like bleakstone."
Cordarius snickers at Lylia.
Lylia dryly remarks, "Or someone could just paint me and tell me to stand very --"
Lylia laughs at Cordarius!
Cordarius smirks.
Cordarius taps his head.
Lylia admits, "You beat me to it."
You notice a vein pulsing in Cordarius's forehead.
Cordarius says, "I worry there is no good plan."
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "The trouble is not so much the lack of a plan as the lack of time in which to unfurl one with reasonable safeguards."
Cordarius nods at Lylia.
Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "I've heard three suggestions, each seems to have their merits."
Cordarius asks, "And what do you lean towards?"
Cordarius peers quizzically at Guarrin.
Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "It seems we could attempt an alchemical effort before dropping it into the volcano."
Cordarius takes a bite of his peanut butter cookies.
Cordarius says, "I could see that working."
Cordarius nods at Guarrin.
Cordarius says, "Weaken the stone, enough for the volcano to destroy it."
Cryheart asks, "So, what alchemy ingredients do we need?"
Guarrin says, "If not, offer prayers to whatever Arkati you think may listen that the volcano is enough."
Cordarius says, "According to Raelee, blood."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "I believe you know as well as I do that is only a beginning."
Speaking to Cordarius, Alosaka says, "The last time someone who looked like Raelee asked for an offering of blood, we got an army of undead reapers and a Lich back."
Speaking to Alosaka, Raelee says, "I am not interested in ritual sacrifice."
Cordarius asks, "...could we utilize the mana fires?"
Cryheart asks, "Oh...the fires around the brass tower?"
Cordarius says, "No Cryheart."
Cryheart asks, "Where?"
Cordarius says, "The mana fires. The ones starving the blight."
Cordarius asks, "What do we consider Gabriela?"
Cordarius asks, "Is she mana? In theory?"
Cordarius asks, "Can we use the mana fire to break her within the statue? Perhaps destroying it as well?"
Cordarius frowns.
Cordarius says, "So little time...so much speculation."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "Why, again, is it so critical to do this in a matter of days rather than... preparing adequately?"
Cordarius says, "Thadston is running out of time."
Cordarius nods at Raelee.
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And so what? These are two separate processes. Move the bleakwalker, manage the statue later."
Cordarius asks, "And where do we then put this statue?"
Cordarius says, "My hope was to destroy it. Its existence can bring unwanted focus."
Cordarius says, "But, you may have a point....this may need to be two separate things."
Cordarius asks, "Where will we perform the ritual with the statue?"
Cordarius says, "I will need a location to secret the statue too, from the ship."
Cordarius says, "We'll need people on the ship, to protect the statue, and keep our defense up. Eventually, we'll slip the statue away through a portal, but unknown. So the ritual can be done unhindered, while the fighting remains at sea."
Speaking eagerly to Cordarius, Darcena asks, "Do I get to kill another kraken?"
Cordarius begins chuckling at Darcena!
Cordarius says, "I hope not."
Cordarius says, "I'm beginning to think we need further time to decide on the statue's fate."
Cordarius says, "But one thing we have little time on, is Thadston."
Speaking dryly to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Really now."
Cordarius says, "You had a valid point Magister."
Cordarius nods at Raelee.
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "I think you will find I have many of them."
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee adds, "Perhaps you ought to listen to me more often."
Cordarius shrugs.
Cordarius says, "But where will the ritual be...."
Cordarius asks, "And...precisely, how?"
Cordarius asks, "Is there somewhere nearby, that is special to Thadston?"
Chamorr heartily says, "The outpost."
Cordarius nods at Chamorr.
Cordarius asks, "Maybe sounds foolish, but maybe not?"
Cryheart asks, "Does Lord Thadston prefer a particular Arkati?"
Cordarius asks, "What about the Outpost?"
Cordarius says, "I think Thadston worships his ego."
Cordarius snickers at Cryheart.
Cordarius asks, "Magister. The Outpost?"
Cordarius peers quizzically at Raelee.
Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "... did he not forsake his titles and walk away?"
Leafiara asks, "Wouldn't using the outpost for this require some... permissions?"
Speaking curiously to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Or are you alone enough to clear it?"
Cordarius says, "Larsya is working on something for me."
Cordarius says, "She would permit it if needed. If we needed it."
Stormyrain says, "We could just ask Thadston."
Cordarius says, "Yes, we could do that..."
Cordarius asks, "Now, HOW do we get the spirit in the statue?"
Cordarius asks, "Just, poke it?"
Cordarius smirks.
[various suggestions]
Cordarius nods.
You notice a vein pulsing in Cordarius's forehead.
Cordarius says, "I miss my gardens."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "You grow things other than apples?"
Cordarius says, "Then we have what we must for now."
Cordarius nods at Leafiara.
Cordarius says, "Feastday evening then. Have your swords sharp."
Speaking to Cordarius, Alosaka asks, "And Vlashandra?"
Cordarius says, "She'll come."
Cordarius nods at Alosaka.
Cordarius says, "....and I'm working on something."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Who will be on the ship? The soldiers you've called in for aid?"
Cordarius says, "It's just not, I need to test it."
Cordarius says, "No. We will."
Cordarius nods at Leafiara.
Cordarius says, "We'll fight to defend the ship. But the goal is, we'll eventually slip the statue away."
Cordarius says, "As the fighting remains."
Cordarius says, "Keep Vlashandra occupied."
Cordarius slowly empties his lungs.
Cordarius asks, "Any questions?"
Cordarius says, "I think we have enough put together to move forward."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "What kind of talents would you like with you on the ship?"
Leafiara says, "So we can plan how to split up."
Cordarius says, "All manners. Defenders, healers, even some young who want to man pylons."
Cordarius says, "I'll have one of Praxopius' pylons as well, fitted to the ship."
Cordarius says, "And I've acquired a golem or two to aid, but we'll need some help firing the regular pylons."
Cordarius says, "We'll be ready for any sky assault Vlashandra brings again."
Lylia asks, "Others will need to be with the statue to assist in the transference, yes?"
Cordarius nods at Lylia.
Cordarius says, "The statue will be on the ship. Hidden below. After some of the fighting takes place, we'll move it away through a portal."
Cordarius says, "The plan is to keep Vlashandra focused on the ship, so we can't let our losses pile up."
Cordarius says, "But that'll buy time to complete the ritual elsewhere."
Cordarius says, "Then of course, be ready for anything since..."
Cordarius says, "When do plans go as planned."
Cordarius smirks.
Cordarius says, "I'm off to finish my experiment."
Cordarius says, "Actually..."
Cordarius asks, "Do we have any skilled archers among us?"
Leafiara points at Leifa.
Leifa raises her hand.
Telagan raises his hand.
Wolfloner nods at Cordarius.
Leafiara says, "I'm not bad with a bow either."
Earthdiver glances at a silvery sephwir long bow in his hand.
Cordarius says, "Perfect. I'll know more soon but, I might need some archers."
Speaking to Cordarius, Leifa asks, "Coverage?"
Cordarius says, "No."
Speaking to Cordarius, Adelynn notes, "I happen to know a great one."
Cordarius nods.
Cordarius says, "We'll see who is about that night then, but the more we have, the better the chance."
Speaking to Cordarius, Taulramil says, "If ya need someone front and center to take some heat, I can help."
Cordarius nods at Taulramil.
Cordarius says, "Goodnight everyone. Until next time..."
Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Let me know if you would like me to be at the designated site of the ritual in preparation. I can remain cloaked."
Cordarius nods at Lylia.
Cordarius says, "When we decide on a final ritual place, yes."
Cordarius says, "It may be asking Thadston it seems."
Cordarius nods at Asben.
Cordarius says, "I will try to highly influence him."
Cordarius says, "I believe the Outpost offers the most controllables."
Cordarius says, "Which is a word that makes Raelee's knees weak."
Cordarius snickers to himself.
(Raelee gives Cordarius a chilly look.)
Cordarius says, "Or is it beakers."
Cordarius shrugs.
Cordarius says, "Goodnight."
Cordarius stands up.
Lord Cordarius just went down the porch steps.

Join Session

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Oulaga disk, the Lowqon disk, the Garfdagfit disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, the Guarrin disk, the Egmund disk, a grim swamp spirit that is flying around, the Musek disk, the sparkling Spangles disk, the Locklyer disk, an amber-eyed tawny range wolf, the Nahlver disk, a rose-marrow potion, some wolifrew lichen, the Khelthrai disk, a ruffled red-footed falcon that is flying around, a large acorn, a fragrant white lily, a round silver-banded barrel, an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.

Also here: The Notorious Leafiara, Oulaga, Lowqon, Pukk, Garfdagfit, Lord Aasterinian, Magister Raelee, Sir Cryheart, Guarrin, Egmund, Musek, Spangles, Locklyer who is sitting, Kippe, Nahlver, Bragan, Telavien, Khelthrai who is sitting

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Guarrin!"

[General] Leafiara observes, "Another snowy Landing evening, it seems!"

[General] Myharl thinks, "Sheesh, I have to stop doing that. Sorry, again."

Leifa says, "Lil' chilly."

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Cryheart now"

Guarrin corrects, "Sir Cryheart."

Speaking to Guarrin, Pukk says, "Make up your minds."

Bernadette softly says, "Aye Jester."

Speaking to Bernadette, Pukk exclaims, "You understand!"

Cryheart says, "Sorry..was deep in thought."

Speaking to Cryheart, Pukk says, "You were in your old man thoughts."

Imperatrix Lylia just arrived.

Imperatrix Lylia just went east.

Cryheart says, "That too."

Pukk yells, "Lylia, you missed the group! We are in town square!"

Imperatrix Lylia just arrived.

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "You overshot us."

Lylia says, "And I did not even have a bow."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "I know you are in such a hurry to run to that hunk of a man Xorus."

Lylia says, "He knows where to find me."

(OOC) Cryheart's player whispers to the group, "Heh..so busy researching material...did not realize we were in Landing."

Pukk whispers to the group, "Okay you Gryphons! Make up your mind! Cryheart or Guarrin!"

Pukk whispers to the group, "I can't work under this stress!"

(OOC) Cryheart's player whispers to the group, "I thought we were still in Solhaven, lol."

Guarrin whispers to the group, "Sir Cryheart will lead once he is focusing again."

(OOC) Pukk's player whispers to the group, "Remember that one snifter of brandy is usually good enough."

(OOC) Cryheart's player whispers to the group, "Was aiding Guarrin in researching lessons for squires."

(OOC) Pukk's player whispers to the group, "Sure you were, we so totally believe you."

Alosaka says, "Gentlemen, apologies, I'm solving a problem at the moment."

Pukk yells, "Xorus! You better get out here!"

Speaking to Pukk, Lylia says, "I shall be sure to pass that along, in case he does not hear you."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk asks, "Are you saying that I'm not loud enough?"

Yavs raspily says, "Uh oh."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "With all these people saying that I have a big mouth...."

Pukk says, "Huh..."

Lylia says, "It sounds as though you have said it yourself, Pukk."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "That's because you put words in my mouth."

Speaking to Pukk, Viva says, "I don't know how big it is, but you sure know how to use it."

Speaking to Viva, Pukk exclaims, "Thank you!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "You really need to get me confirmed as the official town herald."

Speaking lightly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Your time will come for sure."

Pukk recites:

"Cryheart is once again group leader so everybody join Cryheart"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Watch, group will change again."

Goldstr just arrived.

Goldstr joins Cryheart's group.

Speaking to Goldstr, Pukk says, "Good! You knew who to join."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk asks, "You actually joined?"

Lylia replies, "I am not much of a 'joiner.' But sometimes, I do."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I didn't expect weather tonight."

Speaking suspiciously to Lylia, Pukk says, "Okay, who are you and where is the real Lylia."

Lylia turns her head toward Pukk to favor him with a silent, withering gaze.

Pukk says, "Okay, that's you."

Meeting Cordarius

[General] Cordarius thinks, "I'm no Mustafo, but I'll do."

Speaking to Xorus, Pukk says, "About time. I have been calling you all night."

Pukk says, "Cordarius on the thought net."

Cryheart says, "Cordarius in thought."

Leafiara says, "Seems we're headed to Hearthstone."

[General] Pukk exclaims, "Hiya Cordy!"

Delyorik says, "Rhet knows more about me than Halline does."

Speaking to Pukk, Xorus says, "I know. The dead woke me."

Speaking to Xorus, Pukk says, "I'm not dead yet...although I do die alot."

[General] Bernadette thinks, "Good eve to ye Cordarius."

Alvyara says, "Oh, my."

[General] Cordarius thinks, "Ahem. I'm no Mustafo, but I'll do."

Xorus says, "They told me you were making a lot of noise."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr asks, "Who we meeting tonight?"

Leafiara whispers to the group, "He's saying head to the Hearthstone porch, most likely."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Cordarius again."

Leifa whispers to the group, "Where Mustafo would be."

[General] Pukk exclaims, "I think Cordy is broken. He is stuck in a loop!"

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Good evening, Cordarius."

Earthdiver asks, "East tower?"

(OOC) Bernadette's player whispers to the group, "Used to pick there."

Leafiara says, "Hearthstone porch."

(OOC) Cryheart's player whispers to the group, "Actually Mustafo has returned."

[General] Arianiss thinks, "I have a large, large batch of boxes if you want to open them Cordarius."

(OOC) Zolis's player whispers to the group, "Porch, yeah?"

Cryheart says, "Let's go see."

[Hearthstone, Front Porch]

Airy and open, the porch is enclosed by smooth, freshly painted white modwir up to a height of about four feet. As you ponder the sky-blue color of the ceiling and a lacework of deep green ivy that crisscrosses the open space between posts, the hubbub of the world beyond quickly fades away. Rocking chairs of various sizes are an inviting sight, and an elegant green marble arch provides a tantalizing view of the splendors inside the old manor. You also see a scorched oak sideboard with some stuff on it, a purple modwir bin, a doorman and the porch steps.

Also here: Pukk, Lord Aasterinian, Guarrin, Kippe, Diamondelille, Jurist of Eye Leifa, Bernadette, Luminary Berkana, Alvyara, Roelon, Imperatrix Lylia, Lord Varnock, Aeith, Lord Randsford, Wolfloner, Earthdiver, Xainthrax, Vaemyr, Goldstr, Viva, Lord Zolis, Xorus, Alosaka, The Notorious Leafiara, Sir Cryheart, Lord Cordarius who is sitting

Cordarius smiles.

Cryheart says, "Well...ye are nae Sagan."

Cryheart says, "Nor Mustafo."

Cordarius helps himself to a handful of tiny peanut butter cookies.

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Been researching your Landing figures, eh?"

Leafiara grins.

Leafiara nods knowingly at Cordarius.

Leafiara wryly says, "Ain't that the truth."

Delyorik says, "Been a while since I've seen an actual group here."

Speaking to Cordarius, Viva asks, "These cookies buttering you up?"

Cordarius glances at Cryheart.

Cryheart glances at Cordarius.

Cryheart asks, "Aye?"

Cryheart smiles.

Cordarius says, "Next time a flare spell might be quieter."

Cordarius smirks.

Cryheart begins chortling at Cordarius.

Cryheart says, "We can defend ye."

Delyorik says, "I'll be in the game room playing darts."

Cordarius takes a bite of his peanut butter cookies.

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara guesses, "I suppose you wanted to continue the discussion on contingency plans with the statue this eve?"

Bleakstone Statue Plans

Cordarius says, "Feastday, the night of, we'll need to make our attempt on the statue."

Cordarius asks, "Has anyone else tested bleakstone?"

Cordarius says, "I did a bit. Unfortunately, no breakthroughs."

Leafiara admits, "I haven't tried melting it in lava yet, no."

Cordarius nods at Leafiara.

Alosaka says, "Lady Akenna is one of our local experts in it. Alas, she is not with us this eve."

Speaking mischievously to Cordarius, Adelynn says, "No, but if you give me some ..."

Cordarius says, "Haven't tried that yet."

Cordarius says, "I think a volcano dump is our best bet."

Lylia says, "I had only two pieces of it, rather too valuable to cast into a volcano."

Leafiara says, "After you left the other night, Akenna and I did get to thinking that one of the only things we know bleakstone does react to is blood magic."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr says, "When we were getting the statue, I used just about any magic I had on it, not many results."

Alvyara says, "I thought--"

Leafiara says, "Unfortunately, neither Stormyrain nor Crux nor Balley are here, so we're a bit short on blood mages to ask about that particular possibility."

Cordarius nods at Vaemyr.

Alvyara faintly says, "Oh, I'm so far behind."

Xainthrax suggestively says, "Kroderine box, bottom of Darkstone Bay."

[General] Darcena thinks, "I'll be there soon."

Taulramil asks, "Veil iron?"

Xainthrax exclaims, "Or veil iron!"

Roelon deeply says, "That would be alot of veil iron."

Cordarius says, "I'd rather gamble on fire, than the bay."

Lylia asks, "Dumping powerful artifacts into volcanos seems unwise. Does this historically turn out well?"

Raelee suddenly fades into view.

Leafiara says, "Magister Raelee pointed out a potential flaw with the volcano plan--"

Cordarius says, "We already have an Ithzir pyramid in the bottom of the Bay that Dennet poked around inside."

Leafiara says, "Speak of the Magister."

Delyorik says, "Nobody gets this bracelet."

Speaking to Roelon, Xainthrax says, "You should see how much veil iron junk got pawned during Duskruin."

Taulramil says, "I've got a few pieces of armor and weapons that could be melted down."

Speaking to Roelon, Xainthrax says, "Enough for a big box for sure."

Alosaka quietly says, "Volcano sounds like a good plan."

Randsford says, "Could end up setting off the volcano."

Xorus says, "A few years ago, a vathor flew out of the volcano, apparently out of the lava."

Raelee says, "... that is operating under the assumption that a volcano will destroy it. If it does not, I could retrieve it. One must think I would not be the only one capable."

Lylia asks, "Do you really want to give it a new plaything?"

Zolis deeply says, "And couldn't confirm if it melted or not."

Roelon deeply says, "Nae sure what the reaction would be..aye."

Delyorik says, "What are the objections to a volcano? Let me count the ways that EVERYTHING could go wrong."

Leafiara says, "It's one thing for a volcano to be the last resort. Another thing for it to be the first resort."

Speaking to Leafiara, Adelynn asks, "But who would be able to get it out even if it did remain intact?"

[General] Darcena thinks, "Tell him the steps are better. I have a groove on the steps that fit my bum."

Goldstr says, "Good point."

Speaking to Adelynn, Leafiara says, "Fire elementals."

Cordarius nods at Leafiara.

Xainthrax says, "Anyone have a really big boat? We could take it out even further."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Fire elementals would be my retrieval method of choice."

Cordarius asks, "Then have other first resorts been discussed?"

Leafiara says, "Like the fire elementals used by the blood cult, for example."

Xainthrax says, "Drop it in the middle of the Western Sea."

Alvyara asks, "Can we not simply chop it up?"

Delyorik says, "Not to mention simply ticking me off."

Cryheart says, "And we know that fire elementals have been in town of late."

Alvyara says, "We could put pieces into different volcanoes..."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Alchemy."

Lylia asks, "Have we forgotten that it is to serve a purpose?"

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "Tried the simple chopping when it first arrived."

Speaking to Alvyara, Adelynn asks, "Can we even cut it?"

Alvyara says, "Hmm."

Cordarius asks, "What if...I could provide a coffin to place the statue in? Would that keep elementals away?"

Alosaka quietly asks, "...decorating Lylia's mansion?"

Earthdiver asks, "How was the statue made in the first place?"

Alvyara asks, "How was it carved, if it can't be cut?"

Cordarius says, "Granted, it would prevent it from melting perhaps but..."

Aeith says, "Can always put it in the water tunnels up on the Reach, it'll never see the light of day again...."

Delyorik says, "Pardon me."

Roelon whispers something to Randsford.

Cordarius says, "Alchemy? Continue."

Cordarius nods at Raelee.

Leafiara offers, "Here's something to consider... the statue as it is now is a different thing from the statue after Gabriela's sealed in it. She might destabilize it or add vulnerabilities."

Goldstr asks, "A Bleakstone Bane coffin?"

Lylia says, "Or are we just going to stand about saying, 'Oh, here is a thing that could change the course of our destiny and illuminate our studies of transference, sorcery, and the Bleaklands, let us chuck it into something very hot and make soup?'"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "... and let us not treat bane coffins as so disposable that we toss them in volcanoes."

Taulramil says, "That's some spicy soup."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Alchemy. As I discussed with the Mayor several evenings ago... there was much speculation about what it would take to render the bleakstone inert and useless."

Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia says, "I would call it more of a house than a mansion, really."

Leafiara nods at Raelee.

Alosaka corrects, "Her house."

Xainthrax says, "Volcano-shamano! I still say a nice watery sleep in davey jones locker."

[General] Pukk asks, "Stormy we are at Hearthstone porch if you want to join us?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And thus the speculation led to removing its power. However, when the power is part of the essence of the substance, one does not just remove it. Rhimar is not rhimar without the ice."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Thank you. I am singing to some armor for a halfling then I will be about."

Speaking to Xainthrax, Randsford says, "Till the wrong person fishes it out."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Cordarius is here and talking about stuff you would understand better."

Cordarius asks, "What would it take?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And thus to remove its power is to alter its very essence. And when you want to change the form of something, that is when we utilize alchemy."

Roelon deeply says, "Strap some heavy weights, toss it down."

Xainthrax says, "That's why the veil iron or kroderine box."

Speaking to Xainthrax, Adelynn echoes, "Who?"

Speaking to Xainthrax, Leifa says, "Deep water seems a safer bet with a magical item."

Xainthrax says, "We dump it far off shore, and magically block it from location spells."

Xainthrax exclaims, "Good luck finding that!"

Lylia stresses, "And again, it is meant to serve a purpose. We are not just seeking to deny Vlashandra what she wishes, as much as we may enjoy that for its own sake."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "That is the question, is it not? As others have noted... is is reactive to blood. Blood alchemy it not precisely a... well-developed science."

Speaking to Leifa, Guarrin says, "Some monstrosity would just spit it back out years later."

Lylia asks, "Or have we forgotten Thadston's need for it?"

Cordarius says, "Let me go back a bit, and tell you some things we'll need that night."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "But... is experimentation not a core of our directive?"

Cordarius nods at Raelee.

Speaking to Guarrin, Leifa says, "It could be retrieved...if needed. Yet it would lie dormant for now."

[General] Pukk thinks, "I think it's about blood magic and sacrificing a certain grumpy halfling wizard that loves to meteor everything to a volcano."

Transitional Plans

Cordarius says, "Whatever we intend to do...wherever we intend to do it..."

Speaking nonchalantly to Lylia, Adelynn asks, "No offense, but do we even care about Thadston's need for it?"

Cordarius says, "In a few nights, the statue will be traveling back here."

Speaking to Adelynn, Lylia says, "Yes."

Cordarius says, "On a ship."

Speaking to Lylia, Adelynn asks, "Why?"

Lylia says, "Or rather, I do. He has value beyond that of a town official."

Leafiara marvels, "...it's out at sea right now?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Xainthrax says, "Convenient..."

Speaking heartily to a doorman, Chamorr says, "Howdy Al."

Leifa suggests, "Water is a compromise to fiery volcano, not a long term solution."

Xainthrax says, "Maybe it just slips off the ship..."

Speaking to Lylia, Adelynn echoes, "Value?"

Xainthrax exclaims, "Ker-plop!"

Chamorr heartily says, "So, what crazy haf baked scheme ya come up wif."

Alosaka says, "What's happened to Thadston is tragic, and we should always remember him as the hero he used to be."

Cordarius says, "Vlashandra will likely try to come for it. My hope is we can man the ship, protect the cargo, and be a good distraction for when we portal the statue away to perform the ritual. Whatever that looks like, or wherever."

Leafiara says, "Hopefully it gets to us intact. The ocean is full of krolvin, pirates, and ghosts."

Lylia snaps, "Yes. Are you asking questions, or has the porch grown so empty that there is an echo?"

Speaking offhandedly to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "Workin on it now."

Adelynn pointedly remarks, "Seems to me that ever since Thadston has been around, his family, or his weaknesses, have plagued this town."

Speaking to Alosaka, Darcena says, "That's not very pragmatic."

Stormyrain's group just arrived.

Cordarius says, "I am also working on a plan to get us Vlashandra. We'll see."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Let's put a white ora coating on it."

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "Good, then you have not forgotten Thadston Andrews in this."

Cordarius looks over at Lylia and shakes his head.

Speaking to Lylia, Adelynn adds, "Not to mention the nonstop meddling by the Empire."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Guarrin, Stormyrain retorts something you don't understand.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Leafiara asks, "On a scale of one to ten, how insane a plan would it be to attempt to overload the statue with blood magic, since we know that it reacts to that, with a spell channeled back at it to destroy it?"

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Alosaka says, "Be sure to let us know how we can help with that part."

Bernadette softly says, "Cap'n."

Cordarius nods at Alosaka.

Speaking to herself, Darcena mutters, "I forgot to say hello to everyone I know. But that would take ten years. Hopefully they forgive me."

Adelynn whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking heartily to Darcena, Chamorr says, "I see how it is."

Cryheart asks, "Could a false statue be made to lure, Vlashandra into a trap?"

Darcena says, "Ridiculous."

Viva says, "I'm sure many would be interested in seeing Vlashandra walk the plank."

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "Or the actual statue."

Leafiara says, "Even if we somehow did that, Cordarius' point the other night stands that the Empire would continually come after it."

Cordarius says, "Vlashandra is my second priority."

Darcena asks, "How would we mimic the qualities of bleakstone? Wouldn't she notice?"

Cordarius says, "The first, is Thadston."

Speaking to Darcena, Leafiara agrees, "And that too."

Lylia says, "Bleakstone would be hard to counterfeit up close, but from a distance, it might pass."

Cordarius says, "We could paint you like bleakstone."

Darcena mutters, "That statue has a distinct smell of Cruxophim and blood magic."

Cordarius snickers at Lylia.

Lylia dryly remarks, "Or someone could just paint me and tell me to stand very --"

Lylia laughs at Cordarius!

Cordarius smirks.

Cordarius taps his head.

Lylia admits, "You beat me to it."

Leafiara offers, "Well, it does fool Pukk after all."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "I lke it."

Lylia says, "And Gutstorm. But, well...his vision may be blurred."

Speaking wryly to Lylia, Adelynn concludes, "So, academic purposes *and* selfish ones."

Speaking to Adelynn, Lylia says, "Yes. Guilty as charged. I like to know things, and I like to live."

Lylia asks, "Do you not?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I'm sure it fools others as well."

Pukk says, "Maybe."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr asks, "But, could you last that long without talking?"

Adelynn flatly replies, "I tend to not rely on others for that."

Alosaka says, "So, Thadston."

Speaking thoughtfully to Lylia, Darcena says, "Sometimes I wish I wasn't alive."

Lylia confesses, "That would be the challenge."

Speaking to herself, Darcena mutters, "The voices... they're so loud."

You notice a vein pulsing in Cordarius's forehead.

Alosaka says, "We're... going to help Thadston."

Speaking slowly to Alosaka, Leafiara agrees, "Yes."

Speaking to Alosaka, Darcena explains, "I believe that is what Storm wants."

Darcena adds, "Oddly."

Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia says, "He is valuable, so of course."

Guarrin says, "Yes it seems so."

Speaking to Darcena, Pukk says, "Just ignore the voices in your head like I do."

Speaking to Alosaka, Guarrin says, "Critical to the morale of the Hendorans, apparently."

Cordarius says, "I worry there is no good plan."

Alosaka reasonably says, "Thadston has done many things for the Landing, most of them good."

Chamorr heartily says, "Isnt there a bleakstone bane fer weapons."

Speaking noncommittally to Pukk, Darcena asks, "Mm?"

Leafiara says, "The real judge, Renpaw, ruled that Thadston's to be back in power after his problem is resolved. And resolving it is, well, what we're doing."

Darcena plainly says, "That is partly your fault, yes? You don't know how to destroy it."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "If I understand things, we're going to lure the being in Thadston into the statue, and then attempt to destroy it. The question of course is the method."

Wolfloner darkly says, "Perhaps if we threw Thadston in the volcano that would free him from the curse that seems to inflict him."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara acknowledges, "There often isn't. Settle for the least worst, perhaps."

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "The trouble is not so much the lack of a plan as the lack of time in which to unfurl one with reasonable safeguards."

Cordarius nods at Lylia.

Cryheart asks, "So, we lure the spirit out of Thadston first...and how do we do that?"

Speaking offhandedly to Leafiara, Adelynn asks, "How exactly did an official of the Empire come to be our town marshal anyway?"

Speaking somberly to herself, Berkana says, "This sounds like another burn down the town event."

Speaking to Cryheart, Lylia says, "She wants to go."

Leafiara says, "The spirit wants to enter the statue."

Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "I've heard three suggestions, each seems to have their merits."

Alosaka says, "We should certainly consider putting Thadston back into a position of power and authority after he has been treated."

Cryheart says, "So..that takes care of the first issue."

Speaking to Leafiara, Adelynn inquires, "Are we now part of the Empire?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Vaemyr says, "She wants to enter the statue, which of course can't be good."

Alvyara quietly says, "As long as you don't grab Thadston's spirit instead."

Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia says, "Imagine that."

Speaking offhandedly to Adelynn, Leafiara answers, "He became a citizen, applied, and Lylia appointed him."

Cordarius asks, "And what do you lean towards?"

Cordarius peers quizzically at Guarrin.

Chamorr heartily says, "Remember the portals pylasar had."

Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "I thinks Sir Andrew covinced dat spirit it would be der perfect home."

Vaemyr asks, "I assume there's no real way to just... send the statue back to the bleaklands, right?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "It seems we could attempt an alchemical effort before dropping it into the volcano."

Cordarius takes a bite of his peanut butter cookies.

Cordarius says, "I could see that working."

Leafiara asks, "So... to be clear, the alchemical effort is to either transmute the material or, at very least, draw out its latent power to render it inert?"

Cordarius nods at Guarrin.

Speaking to Vaemyr, Adelynn says, "The Bleaklands are not beyond Vlashandra's reach."

Cordarius says, "Weaken the stone, enough for the volcano to destroy it."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Bleakstone bane."

Alosaka says, "There is also the possibility, and I simply raise this for completeness, that Thadston might want to retire to a less stressful position, after all he's been through."

Earthdiver asks, "Is there a way to poison the statue, as a backup plan?"

Cryheart asks, "So, what alchemy ingredients do we need?"

Guarrin says, "If not, offer prayers to whatever Arkati you think may listen that the volcano is enough."

Cordarius says, "According to Raelee, blood."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Leafiara admits, "That might be very possible, actually, considering that a spirit's already entering it."

Speaking to Earthdiver, Lylia says, "It is an empty vessel. The 'poison' within it might very well be Gabriela herself."

Randsford whispers something to Roelon.

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "I believe you know as well as I do that is only a beginning."

Xainthrax says, "By gut tells me messing with the statue directly is going to end in a whole mess of hurt."

Speaking to Cordarius, Alosaka says, "The last time someone who looked like Raelee asked for an offering of blood, we got an army of undead reapers and a Lich back."

Cryheart says, "Then perhaps we should begin gathering the blood."

Leifa grouses, "We store dangerous artifacts in our museum, surely we can find a way to contain this one."

Darcena mutters, "Thadston needs to retire."

Cryheart asks, "Do we need another ingredient, Magister?"

Leafiara muses, "Wonder what happens if a spirit... fades, or explodes, or is released... while inside a physical object."

Chamorr heartily says, "Always blood."

Speaking to Alosaka, Raelee says, "I am not interested in ritual sacrifice."

Cordarius asks, "...could we utilize the mana fires?"

Berkana whispers something to Kippe.

Speaking to Leifa, Lylia says, "Just so."

Speaking to Raelee, Alosaka asks, "Just the blood?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Raelee says, "Of course we would."

Speaking to Leafiara, Guarrin says, "Or when such a spirit makes its home inside bleakstone."

Cryheart asks, "Oh...the fires around the brass tower?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Raelee states, "Yes."

Alvyara says, "I was wondering about the mana fires."

Speaking flatly to Cordarius, Darcena says, "Explain."

Chamorr heartily says, "And it always never ends well."

Speaking to Raelee, Alosaka says, "Well, consider me reassured."

Cordarius says, "No Cryheart."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Going to need some theorizing on that one or what you're thinking."

Roelon whispers something to Randsford.

Alvyara asks, "No?"

Cryheart asks, "Where?"

Cryheart glances at Cordarius.

Cordarius says, "The mana fires. The ones starving the blight."

Alvyara says, "Don't tell me there are other mana fires."

Cryheart says, "Ahh...those."

Leafiara asks, "The mana fires are only keeping the blight at bay, if I even understand them correctly... how would they be used to a more dramatic, powerful end like destroying the statue?"

Alvyara says, "The ones by the ... oh, you said the brass tower."

Alvyara says, "No, the other things. Those..."

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "I'd be concerned how the stone would interact with the mana fed flames, perhaps it wouldn't though."

Speaking to Leafiara, Darcena says, "The statue was an important component."

Darcena asks, "Are they related?"

Leafiara asks, "And if they *could* destroy the statue, why not destroy the blight?"

Darcena asks, "The dissolution of the statue and the dissolution of the plague?"

Leifa suggests, "A transmuted containment field of mana, of which we have the skillset."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "They draw mana. It... does not seem it would be enough."

Speaking to Darcena, Leafiara says, "My understanding was that the statue was a catalyst initially but then became unnecessary to continue the blight. Assuming I remember correctly."

Cordarius asks, "What do we consider Gabriela?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "There is more to bleakstone than simply... mana. So the question is drain mana and then what?"

Lylia says, "The statue was the vessel. It was an important component in the same way that a wineglass is important to having a drink of wine."

Vaemyr asks, "What if we... sourced a mana source from somewhere else?"

Cordarius asks, "Is she mana? In theory?"

Cryheart asks, "A spirit of mana?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "I would think she's a hybrid of several types of mana, yes."

Leafiara says, "Spiritual for obvious reasons, elemental because she's a creation of Raznel's Bleaklands, mental because she can speak to our minds."

Cryheart says, "So if she enters the statue."

Cordarius asks, "Can we use the mana fire to break her within the statue? Perhaps destroying it as well?"

Cordarius frowns.

Lylia replies, "Well, if we could talk with her once she is where she wishes to be, then we might find out, but no, we wish to push the statue into a fiery doom."

Cordarius says, "So little time...so much speculation."

Leifa dreamily says, "She is pure source energy."

Alvyara says, "I thought spirits were made of... spirit."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara agrees, "I do think that's potentially possible."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And thus the problem. You can ask that question but the only way to prove it is to attempt."

Speaking to Alvyara, Alosaka says, "That is the conventional understanding."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee asks, "Why, again, is it so critical to do this in a matter of days rather than... preparing adequately?"

Lylia asks, "Oh, hybrid mana, you say?"

Leafiara says, "We're calling her a spirit for convenience's sake if anything, but she's a bleakwalker. They're... not exactly well researched, at least that I know of."

Speaking to Raelee, Darcena says, "Because Gabby is going to take him over."

Darcena asks, "Haven't you seen how she is escalating?"

Cordarius says, "Thadston is running out of time."

Cordarius nods at Raelee.

Darcena says, "As much as I would like Thadston to no longer be something I have to pay attention to..."

Lylia says, "If only we knew people who brought together skeins of essence in twisted ways...hmm."

Darcena says, "I know Storm wants him fixed."

Speaking musingly to Xorus, Leafiara says, "Then again, I think I remember you saying something like that the bleakwalker seem similar to... dark vorteces."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "And so what? These are two separate processes. Move the bleakwalker, manage the statue later."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "Sounds like haf da town."

Xorus says, "Yes. The Shadow Realm has similar things."

Cordarius asks, "And where do we then put this statue?"

Speaking to Darcena, Berkana asks, "We have gelding services for humanoids?"

Speaking deeply to Berkana, Zolis asks, "We don't?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Alosaka asks, "Perhaps, rather than worry too much about the statue, your plan to destroy Vlashandra might render the whole question moot?"

Speaking slowly to Berkana, Darcena asks, "We do?"

Cordarius says, "My hope was to destroy it. Its existence can bring unwanted focus."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr asks, "What if we added some more oomph to the mana fires, like say connecting them to the Confluence to up our chances of overpowering the structure of the statue?"

Guarrin casually mentions, "Wherever we want to draw Vlashandra into a trap."

Speaking to Cordarius, Lylia says, "'The nail that stands up gets hammered down.' There is always a risk that something of merit or value draws unwanted focus."

Vaemyr says, "Plenty of raw magical power to be found there."

Cordarius says, "But, you may have a point....this may need to be two separate things."

Berkana says, "Tis why it's handy, I suppose, to hold a dagger on one's person."

Ritual Proceedings

Cordarius asks, "Where will we perform the ritual with the statue?"

Speaking wryly to Cordarius, Adelynn says, "You act as though this town hasn't had unwanted focus from several undesirables people for ... years."

Leafiara says, "As ever, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. The ideal is that we could eliminate Vlashandra immediately, but if we can't... fallbacks are good."

Cordarius says, "I will need a location to secret the statue to, from the ship."

Darcena asks, "Is there someone or a group of someones who can keep the statue safe from Vlashandra?"

Speaking heartily to Berkana, Chamorr says, "Sheesh."

Goldstr asks, "Would da magic a top da Reach be a good spot?"

Guarrin says, "Sadly, I think perhaps the Holding has enough guests for now."

Alvyara asks, "Does this spot need to be impervious to magic?"

Leafiara tentatively asks, "How would we haul it all the way up there?"

Cordarius says, "We'll need people on the ship, to protect the statue, and keep our defense up. Eventually, we'll slip the statue away through a portal, but unknown. So the ritual can be done unhindered, while the fighting remains at sea."

Lylia says, "It might be a bit of a challenge to move the statue there..."

Speaking to Darcena, Berkana says, "I thought that was already occurring."

Cryheart says, "Thrayzar is enjoying the quiet there."

Alosaka asks, "I mean, if we're going to put it in the volcano immediately afterward, why not do it there?"

Speaking eagerly to Cordarius, Darcena asks, "Do I get to kill another kraken?"

Cordarius begins chuckling at Darcena!

Cordarius says, "I hope not."

Leifa quietly mutters, "....and remains at sea hopefully."

Speaking firmly to Alosaka, Lylia says, "We have not decided it is going to be tipped into the pit."

Speaking to Darcena, Guarrin says, "You're in the wrong town for that."

Cordarius says, "I'm beginning to think we need further time to decide on the statue's fate."

Cordarius says, "But one thing we have little time on, is Thadston."

Speaking to herself, Alvyara mutters, "Hopefully Vlashandra can be tipped into the pit."

Speaking dryly to Cordarius, Raelee says, "Really now."

Leafiara agrees, "Sounds like progress."

Cordarius says, "You had a valid point Magister."

Cordarius nods at Raelee.

Goldstr exclaims, "Thadston first!"

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee says, "I think you will find I have many of them."

Speaking to Cordarius, Raelee adds, "Perhaps you ought to listen to me more often."

Berkana says, "I think the statue would be perfect for Lich Landing."

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Women...right?"

Cordarius shrugs.

Cordarius says, "But where will the ritual be...."

Speaking to Pukk, Leifa corrects, "Leaders."

Cordarius asks, "And...precisely, how?"

Darcena says, "I don't know the how. Not my area of expertise."

Darcena says, "Where should be far away from the Landing."

Darcena says, "And away from where Vlashandra has influence."

Berkana says, "Ritual? Oh, now I'm interested."

Leafiara asks, "Gabriela herself seems to want to enter the statue... is a ritual even needed?"

Darcena says, "We don't want her popping in."

Lylia says, "Some time ago, there was a ritual atop the head of the Colossus. It involved Cruxophim, Dame Aiska, and a few summoning circles."

Darcena asks, "Would it be easier in the bleak? What are the ramifications of that?"

Alosaka says, "Vlashandra's power seems to originate in the town itself, and in the nearby forests. Somewhere away from them would seem to be in order."

Lylia says, "It was a process to remove the shadows from her and to another vessel, in a manner of speaking. I would have to consult my notes."

Cryheart says, "The ritual needs to be in an area where the statue can be transported."

Goldstr says, "Colosus by da Hangin Inn sounds good."

Earthdiver asks, "Is there a way to track the statue? Can this..signal be duplicated?"

Speaking to Lylia, Lurrah says, "I think it is unwise to do anything on the Colossus. That is ancient magic that shouldn't be dallied with."

Speaking to Lurrah, Lylia says, "Yes, I would not suggest that as the chosen location."

Adelynn airily muses, "Doesn't it seem like we always sit around for hours and barely figure anything out because no one can agree, and then when we finally do, it all falls apart anyway?"

Lylia quips, "Although I am amused at the concept of standing on the shoulders of giants, a statue on a statue."

Cordarius asks, "Is there somewhere nearby, that is special to Thadston?"

Adelynn wryly adds, "But that's none of my business."

Speaking to Adelynn, Leafiara admits, "Sometimes, sure."

Alosaka says, "There are a few castles nearby that aren't otherwise being used. Anwyn, Varunar. A ritual there could be protected."

Speaking to Adelynn, Lylia says, "I welcome you to see new vistas, then, and find new outhouses to explore. By all means, I wish you joy of it."

Chamorr heartily says, "The outpost."

Roelon whispers something to Randsford.

Cordarius nods at Chamorr.

Cordarius asks, "Maybe sounds foolish, but maybe not?"

Cryheart asks, "Does Lord Thadston prefer a particular Arkati?"

Cordarius asks, "What about the Outpost?"

Stormyrain says, "The Outpost, and the Barracks."

[General] Chandrellia thinks, "Ok where is everyone?"

Speaking cheekily to Lylia, Adelynn says, "I'm just tired of my home constantly being meddled with by outsiders."

Cordarius says, "I think Thadston worships his ego."

Cordarius snickers at Cryheart.

[General] Leafiara thinks, "We're at Hearthstone."

Chamorr heartily says, "That chapel where rodnay was."

Speaking to Cryheart, Stormyrain says, "Not that I have ever heard him say."

Stormyrain says, "But Casi may know more."

Cryheart grins at Cordarius.

Chamorr heartily says, "Has a buncha magik."

Speaking to Lylia, Adelynn remarks, "I rather enjoy this town, there's quite a bit of money to be madehere, I'd rather not see it razed because we continue to involve ourselves in these sorts of affairs."

Lylia says, "Yes, he certainly spent enough time there, and he fought to keep it intact even as it was taken by the Ithzir. He knows that outpost well, even its cells."

Speaking curiously to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Or are you alone enough to clear it?"

Lurrah whispers something to Darcena.

Cordarius says, "Larsya is working on something for me."

Chandrellia softly says, "Ok the party can start I'm here."

Goldstr says, "Outpost does have a secret room/passageway below da kitchen."

Cordarius says, "She would permit it if needed. If we needed it."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "You're too late. You missed all the fun already."

Speaking softly to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "I am the fun."

Stormyrain says, "We could just ask Thadston."

Speaking wryly to Chandrellia, Adelynn says, "Unfortunately, we're all still clothed."

Berkana says, "There's an abandoned tower though I've never found a way in."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "I thought that was Leafi."

Speaking amiably to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Alright, that's good. As long as Amos doesn't have agents planted all over there, or more likely bought off."

Lylia asks, "What, just...ask a person? Can we do that?"

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "Dangerous, but it seems reasonable enough."

Cordarius says, "Yes, we could do that..."

Berkana says, "Then again, you could just finish destroying the Brass Tower since it's such a mess."

Cordarius asks, "Now, HOW do we get the spirit in the statue?"

Cordarius asks, "Just, poke it?"

Cordarius smirks.

Vaemyr asks, "Ask nicely?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Adelynn asks, "Doesn't she *want* to go in?"

Lylia says, "In that case, we probably could just ask."

Speaking heartily to Berkana, Chamorr says, "Leave da tower alone."

Stormyrain dryly says, "I believe she will go willingly. She is the expert on possession."

Leafiara says, "She attached herself to Thadston, so I don't see why she can't attach herself to a statue."

Goldstr says, "Thadston should know how."

Cryheart says, "Someone who the spirit trusts..can communicate with it."

Speaking to Chamorr, Berkana asks, "My tower?"

Leafiara muses, "Unless she requires life force to feed on, or something to that effect."

Chandrellia softly says, "I think we have to find a way to provoke it."

Speaking heartily to Berkana, Chamorr says, "My tower."

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "Those who share spirit could lend a hand there, if needed."

Berkana says, "Mmm."

Lylia says, "And like calls to like. A Bleakwalker in a bleakstone form should pour into it as naturally as water."

Speaking thoughtfully to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "True, true..."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Aasterinian says, "Hard pass."

Xorus says, "Soul stones on the eyes. That is how spirits enter the glaes 'soul' golems."

Speaking to Cordarius, Xainthrax says, "I'm thinking, we dress the statue up real pretty and lavish praise upon it."

Speaking to Cordarius, Xainthrax says, "Let her instincts take over."

Leifa wistfully says, "I can relate to an attachment to a statue."

Speaking to Aasterinian, Stormyrain says, "It would have to be those willing, of course. No one should do anything against their will if we are involving blood at all."

Speaking to Xainthrax, Lylia says, "Well, if we are going that route, I shall happily pose and be a decoy."

Xorus says, "Moreover, being so similar to dark vorteces, elemental soulstones should work."

Speaking to Lylia, Xainthrax exclaims, "You might end up getting possessed instead!"

Cordarius nods.

You notice a vein pulsing in Cordarius's forehead.

Cordarius says, "I miss my gardens."

Speaking to Xainthrax, Alvyara says, "Lylia already has tremendous self-possession."

Speaking to Xorus, Darcena says, "That's what we need, more golems."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "You grow things other than apples?"

Cordarius says, "Then we have what we must for now."

Cordarius nods at Leafiara.

Leafiara nods understandingly.

Adelynn whispers something to Chandrellia.

Xorus indifferently says, "That is what we are doing putting a spirit into a statue."

Parting Planning

Cordarius says, "Feastday evening then. Have your swords sharp."

Speaking to Cordarius, Goldstr asks, "So we meet da ship on Feastday?"

Chandrellia softly says, "And wits sharper."

Speaking to Cordarius, Alosaka asks, "And Vlashandra?"

Vaemyr asks, "So we decided on a location?"

Cordarius says, "She'll come."

Cordarius nods at Alosaka.

Speaking dryly to Cordarius, Adelynn asks, "Aren't they always sharp?"

Cordarius says, "....and I'm working on something."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "Who will be on the ship? The soldiers you've called in for aid?"

Chandrellia softly says, "Oh I do hope so, her and I have some unfinished bussiness."

Cordarius says, "It's just not, I need to test it."

Cordarius says, "No. We will."

Cordarius nods at Leafiara.

Leafiara says, "Ah."

Leafiara nods at Cordarius.

Leafiara says, "Well, good, that at least answers questions about chain of command."

Leafiara grins.

Cordarius says, "We'll fight to defend the ship. But the goal is, we'll eventually slip the statue away."

Guarrin says, "I hope your tests go well then."

Cordarius says, "As the fighting remains."

Speaking to Cordarius, Alosaka says, "Let us know if we can help with those tests. Or any other related endeavor."

Cordarius says, "Keep Vlashandra occupied."

Goldstr says, "We will."

Vaemyr asks, "Should we expect other interferance, besides Vlashandra?"

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "That should be easy, she seems easily amused by simple things."

Speaking airily to Vaemyr, Adelynn says, "Ohh I think we can always count on interference from Stone."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Telagan asks, "Does it ever happen any other ways?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara admits, "I'm expecting so, since the Knave was after it."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Alosaka says, "It wouldn't surprise me if the lich or his minions come to Vlashandra's aid."

Leifa mutters, "And end up in a watery grave."

Speaking softly to Alosaka, Chandrellia says, "Something tells me, Slim isnt aware of everything his little pet is doing."

Adelynn whispers something to Chandrellia.

Chandrellia whispers something to Adelynn.

Leafiara says, "Thankfully the Knave and Vlashandra are at odds. That's a silver lining if he does intervene."

Adelynn whispers something to Chandrellia.

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Whatever ya figers, i back ya up, but no blood."

Chamorr heartily says, "Night folks."

Cordarius slowly empties his lungs.

Pukk says, "Night Bear."

Cordarius asks, "Any questions?"

Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "Don't worry, it sounds like it'll be your specialty. Whackin'."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "You know I'll do whatever I need to do for this town, and if it blood we need, I'll just take a bit of Vlashandras and donate that."

Speaking wryly to Cordarius, Adelynn says, "Dozens."

Cordarius says, "I think we have enough put together to move forward."

Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr says, "Yes."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara asks, "What kind of talents would you like with you on the ship?"

Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr asks, "Got any scotch?"

Goldstr asks, "Thadston will know when fer dis?"

Leafiara says, "So we can plan how to split up."

Cordarius says, "All manners. Defenders, healers, even some young who want to man pylons."

Leafiara nods.

Cordarius says, "I'll have one of Praxopius' pylons as well, fitted to the ship."

Leafiara musingly says, "Okay, so just split up as we see fit, I suppose."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "He will need somebody who will point out the obvious."

Cordarius says, "And I've acquired a golem or two to aid, but we'll need some help firing the regular pylons."

Cordarius says, "We'll be ready for any sky assault Vlashandra brings again."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr says, "That'll be good if we end up in ship to ship combat."

Speaking to Pukk, Telagan asks, "So's that's just everyone, thens?"

Pukk says, "Well, me more than anybody. I'm an expert in it."

Lylia asks, "Others will need to be with the statue to assist in the transference, yes?"

Cordarius nods at Lylia.

Lylia nods once.

Lylia says, "Good."

Chandrellia softly says, "I'll do my best to keep as many healed as I can and I am sure the other healers will help."

Cordarius says, "Then of course, be ready for anything since..."

Cordarius says, "When do plans go as planned."

Cordarius smirks.

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia asks, "When they are unplanned?"

Lylia says, "While I know little about her, Vlashandra does seem like monomania consumes her. That can be a useful tool to us."

Xainthrax says, "You know... a hole in a boat is called a portal..."

Speaking firmly to Xainthrax, Adelynn says, "We're not dumping the statue in the Bay."

Speaking to Adelynn, Lylia says, "Well, we agree on at least one thing."

Xainthrax exclaims, "Got it!"

Telagan says, "Bay'll probably spits it back out, knowin' what lurks in there."

Cordarius says, "I'm off to finish my experiment."

Speaking amusedly to Lylia, Adelynn says, "You conceded your motivations are selfish, I think you'll find we agree on more than one thing."

Cryheart says, "Good luck."

Speaking to Telagan, Lylia says, "There is no room, thanks to all the Ithzir artifacts and sunken ships and tentacled beasts."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "Good luck if you need any help just call on us."

Actually, Archers?

Cordarius says, "Actually..."

Speaking to Cordarius, Vaemyr says, "See you in a few days."

Speaking to Adelynn, Lylia says, "I do not think that is a concession; it is a statement of fact, not of shame."

Cordarius asks, "Do we have any skilled archers among us?"

Leafiara points at Leifa.

Leifa raises her hand.

Darcena says, "Lyrna isn't available."

Telagan raises his hand.

Roelon glances at Leifa.

Wolfloner glances at Cordarius.

Chandrellia points at Leifa.

Wolfloner nods at Cordarius.

Leafiara says, "I'm not bad with a bow either."

Tightening her grip on her ruic long bow, Leifa lifts it high above her head in a triumphant pose! A cacophony of roars bursts from her ruic long bow as a flicker of gleaming white light surrounds it.

Cordarius nods.

Kippe can offer Leafiara only a blank expression.

Lylia says, "I am extraordinarily valuable to me, after all."

Speaking to Lylia, Adelynn clarifies, "I wasn't implying you should be ashamed of it."

Speaking amusedly to Kippe, Leafiara asks, "Need proof?"

Earthdiver removes a silvery sephwir long bow from in his black shirt.

Earthdiver glances at a silvery sephwir long bow in his hand.

Cordarius says, "Perfect. I'll know more soon but, I might need some archers."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "You have too much time on your hands if you are learning everything."

Lylia says, "Duly noted."

Speaking monotonously to Leafiara, Kippe says, "... no."

Speaking to Cordarius, Leifa asks, "Coverage?"

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "I know of one just need a heads up so I can let him know."

Cordarius says, "No."

Asben whispers something to Earthdiver.

Telagan says, "Is easy - stan' in the back, don't get hits."

Speaking to Cordarius, Adelynn notes, "I happen to know a great one."

Cordarius nods.

Speaking to Cordarius, Adelynn says, "I'm sure she would love to assist."

Asben whispers something to Earthdiver.

Leafiara wishes, "Rest well."

Taulramil says, "Distract and shoot'm dead."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "Night."

Cryheart says, "Rest well, envoy."

Cordarius nods at Lylia.

Vaemyr says, "Stay safe."

Lylia says, "Be well."

Cordarius says, "When we decide on a final ritual place, yes."

Lylia says, "Of course."

Cordarius says, "It may be asking Thadston it seems."

Cordarius nods at Asben.

Lylia says, "Sometimes the simplest answers are best."

Leafiara says, "This plan was the one he insisted on, after all."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Have we heard from Thadston as of late?"

Cordarius says, "I will try to highly influence him."

Alvyara says, "I assume not in his bedroom."

Cordarius says, "I believe the Outpost offers the most controllables."

Alvyara says, "He said, someplace special to Thadston."

Cordarius says, "Which is a word that makes Raelee's knees weak."

Cordarius snickers to himself.

Speaking amusedly to Alvyara, Adelynn asks, "You have an interest in Lord Thadston's bed chambers?"

Alvyara says, "...maybe it's just that my bed is sounding very special right now."

Cordarius says, "Controllables."

Cordarius winks at Raelee.

Cordarius smirks.

Speaking softly to Alvyara, Chandrellia says, "I would think more of the bar then the bedroom."

(Raelee gives Cordarius a chilly look.)

Cordarius says, "Or is it beakers."

Cordarius shrugs.

Cordarius says, "Goodnight."

Leafiara mouths, "Both."

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk says, "I think she likes you."

Chandrellia softly says, "Good night."

Cordarius stands up.

Cryheart says, "Niters."

Lord Cordarius just went down the porch steps.
