<prelog2>a shimmering glaesine orb (has a look and a read) -- gift from day/night mechanics release
A shimmering glaesine orb was an item given out to all characters to celebrate the release of day/night mechanics in March of 2002. The storylines for this release started with the Vishmi'irka quest which caused Elanith to be cloaked in perpetual darkness. A ritual was performed to resolve this quest, but that then caused Elanthia to stop rotating and thus created a new situation of perpetual daylight. A final fix was performed by elven mages to return Elanthia to a proper state and with it came actual day/night mechanics and messaging. The orb is character attuned and able to be worn. <!-- This spot reserved for informational blurb for item. Remove as part of copy/paste.-->
