Aleid Hargreaves is a human female born, raised, and residing in Wehnimer's Landing.

History

Born in 5102, Aleid was raised by her grandmother after ostensibly being abandoned by her parents.

Aleid and Grandmother Hargreaves, a warm but domineering woman Aleid always called Grams, lived in a small cottage on the edge of Shanty Town. Their life together was simple and quiet - rarely was it intruded upon by the troubles that seemed to frequently loom over their hometown. The pair spent their time gardening and knitting, and while they seemed to always have just what they needed, and their larder was never empty, Grams never would explain how they did. She also refused to speak of Aleid's parents, despite much cajoling on the child's part.

Grams kept a tight rein on Aleid, only allowing her to venture beyond their fence in her company. With a sense of longing, Aleid would sit under an old oak tree outside their front door and watch the other children play. They were at times cruel, as children can often be, and called her "baby" and "puppy" - a reference to her being commanded to sit and stay in the yard so often by her grandmother.

It was during a time under the tree that Aleid came to make a discovery: She had magic. And not just any magic - she could control the wind. One hot summer day the teasing of the local children hard grown unmerciful, and Aleid was furious. Suddenly, what had been a breezeless day turned into a wind-whipped afternoon, knocking over loose fence slats and tumbling a particularly small tormentor into a dry ditch beside the road.

It took Aleid mere moments to understand that she was the cause, and after a fashion she was able to still the wind with no one the wiser to the cause. It wasn't long after that day that Grams began to allow the girl to run small errands - a trip to the grocer's; a jaunt to the baker's; even a visit to the local museum.

Description

You see Aleid Hargreaves.
She appears to be a Human.
She is average height and has a delicately boned, waifish body. She appears to be extremely young. She has silver-flecked wisteria eyes and pale skin. She has long, thick blond hair pulled back with a layered cream and grey organza silk headband, leaving her side-swept bangs to brush across her temples. She has an angular face, a classical nose and thin eyebrows. A sliver of shadowy wraithaline is positioned between her eyes, which casts a sparkling shadowy grey sheen across her face.
She is surrounded by a small whirlwind.
She is wearing a brushed white rabbit fur capelet caught with a velvety black bow, a red-eyed zoetic quill with a prehensile rachis and dermal vane, a pure white pinafore, a sky blue dress gathered over frilly white petticoats, a pair of simple white cotton gloves, a silver-plated metal tin, a woven wicker hip-basket, a sigiled vultite scroll case, some bright white tights, and some glossy black shoes.
