Description

You see Astpree the First Priest of Cholen's Sanctuary.
He appears to be a Human.
He appears to be taller than average and youthful. He has mellow honey gold eyes and tanned skin. He has long, chestnut brown hair done up in an elaborately coiled bun. He has a delicate face and a little pert nose.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a pale pink feather hair ornament, a long gold-linked drop pendant necklace, a sweeping rose silk satin gown with a scooped back, and some low-heeled golden velvet slippers with brightly jeweled heels.

Ceremony

Astpree takes a few steps forward before saying, "Greetings!" Smiling brightly, the cleric lowers his arms and pats a stray tress of his hair that was dislodged during his initial greeting back into place. He takes a moment more to properly compose his appearance and then takes a deep, steady breath before calmly speaking.

"We have gathered here in Cholen's presence to witness the joining of GROOM and BRIDE. A marriage is a wonderful thing; a grand journey of such sweet promise. You have found someone who will be by your side through the turning of all the seasons, and a companion to make you feel loved and cherished as the years linger on."

Astpree folds his hands neatly over his slim waist and continues, "You have found the person whom you can rely on when you need it the most. Such pure love can only be expressed through our hearts in song, and it brings to mind a piece I once heard that I would like to perform for you now."

Astpree transitions into his song, singing in a surprisingly sweet and clear tenor:

"My love, you are surely the best of me,
In you, all my dreams abide.
My dear, I give you the rest of me,
I am whole with you by my side.

In truth, I cannot say,
When first I knew this love.
Now I cannot go without you,
As sure as the stars above."

The ruffled cleric discreetly wipes a tear from his eye and sighs dramatically. His eyes sparkle with motes of light as he looks at you and BRIDE.

Turning to face you, Astpree asks, "Do you, GROOM, take BRIDE to be your loving companion, to find the brightness in dark days, to contribute to her happiness, and to always strive to bring playfulness to your marriage?"

Astpree turns to face BRIDE, repeating the question, "Do you, BRIDE, take GROOM to be your loving companion, to find the brightness in dark days, to contribute to his happiness, and to always strive to bring playfulness to your marriage?"

Astpree takes your hands and joins them with BRIDE's, before saying, "In Cholen's name, and all the honor of the sanctuary, I pronounce you both wed! Find joy in one another and never take each other for granted. You are exceedingly blessed to have found true love." Astpree holds your conjoined hands together, before taking a few steps back. "Congratulations to you both." With these final words, he turns and leaves.

Reject: A small light winks out of Astpree's eyes, and he gives a long, disappointed sigh. With a saddened expression and a hint of pain in his eyes, Astpree says, "Commitment and faith are not for the weak of heart. Regretfully, these two will not be joined in Cholen's name today." He appears almost crestfallen as he turns and leaves, saying, "Please show yourselves out."
