Subject: Warning! Warlike Worms Wilier!

Roa'ters, roa'ter wormlings, cave worms, carrion worms and slimy little grubs have been converted to the Basic Critter System (BCS). All of these creatures have received new messaging. Adult roa'ters possess some new tricks in addition to their classic burrowing maneuver (which has been updated to modern standards, but is still as deadly as ever). Additionally, roa'ters are now considered favored enemies of the Guardians of Sunfist. Happy hunting!

Yes. They were prior to this update.

With the burrow maneuver now using the standard creature maneuver system, many more factors are in place with the attack making it end up being easier, on average, to avoid. Getting hit with it is still pretty darn nasty, but you're likely to survive longer in front of a roa'ter now. With that change, we thought it was appropriate to include the rare engulf attack (it's far easier to dodge than the burrow, but if it connects, it's very interesting (thanks to GM Mestys for this idea)) and the more frequent knock down, which should be standard for most huge creatures (see giants). The end result is roa'ters are about as deadly as before, just more "fair" and definitely more interesting.
