Ebon Gate (or EG) is a yearly paid merchant event that occurs at the end of October/beginning of November, and is focused on death and celebrating the Eve of the Reunion. There have been several different ghost towns for EG, each with their own backstory and mini-quests, but the basic mapping of the area for shopping remains the same. The first EG was in 1998, making it the longest running regularly scheduled merchant event.
