Chomper Plants are a type of pet item. They have verb traps and ambient zests. Their description changes depending on if they are awake/active or asleep/inactive. Their description will also change depending on how hungry/thirsty they are. Oemeleria and the autumn plant, at least, are marked unalterable per a NPC merchant.

Asleep/Inactive

Perched atop a writhing mass of serpentine roots and corpulent tubers is a small clump of thorn-laden, leafy stalks topped with fleshy, ovaloid crowns. Fern-like fronds curl themselves around a main stem, which sports two connected, kidney-shaped pads tipped with needle-sharp projections. The misshapen head is slightly ajar, allowing a slight glimpse of tender, sarcous tissue covered in long, bristling hairs. Your plant appears fleshy in appearance with dull autumn gold coloration. It doesn't seem to be moving.
