Subject: The Dabbler Defined

Hi everyone -

I wanted to give you all a brief overview of the Dabbler (since she has had a slight facelift since making her debut - or, will shortly...) since there seems to be a little confusion about what she does, what the process is to remove properties, and what happens after you speak with her.

The Dabbler is really good at removing simple properties from non-complex items. Unscripted items with properties that you are trying to remove will give you the easiest time. But once an item is scripted, the Dabbler will have increasing difficulty in knowing whether or not an existing property is part of the script, or something that was added/applied completely independent of the script on the item. Asking her to remove a script is also a little easier*, but until the review team takes a peek at it, you'll have to be patient and let them review it. Once I get word that it is either approved or denied, I'll get that information added to her ASAP, and when you return and ask her again, she will reply one of three ways:

1) Sorry, that script has been denied for automatic removal.
2) No, I haven't heard anything back on that yet.
3) Yes! I did hear back, and I can help you. Let's get started!

The above responses are ONLY relative to script requests.

If you are requesting to have a property removed, and the Dabbler decides it's just a bit too complex for her to handle for you, she may give you the option to BUY a property removal certificate, in which case you can then REDEEM it (with the item in hand that has the property you want removed), and it will be handled just like any of the other certificates from HESS. (This does NOT count toward a service, and it will NOT be subject to a surcharge. It also does not use the attune system.)

You can't go straight to "just let me buy a certificate", though -- you need to go through the process. This process helps educate her in this process, and she'll retain the knowledge for subsequent runs.

This will be live in just a little bit.

Let me know if you have any questions!
