"Darthiir" is the Drow word for "surface elves" in the Forgotten Realms setting of Dungeons & Dragons. The Dark Elves of that setting live underground and have a visceral hatred for their surface dwelling cousins. Wishing to destroy them was their only unifying quality as a race. Despana and [[Book of Tormtor|Tormtor]] are the names of Drow noble houses, where Despana was infamous for its demonic summoning.

"Darthiir" is the Drow word for "surface elves" in the Forgotten Realms setting of Dungeons & Dragons. The Dark Elves of that setting live underground and have a visceral hatred for their surface dwelling cousins. Wishing to destroy them was their only unifying quality as a race. Despana and Tormtor are the names of Drow noble houses, where Despana was infamous for its demonic summoning.
