Dharthiir

Dharthiir was a powerful arch-lich, Despana's general in the Undead War, and, according to some, her consort. He was last seen at the Battle of ShadowGuard.

Behind The Scenes

"Darthiir" is the Drow word for "surface elves" in the Forgotten Realms setting of Dungeons & Dragons. The Dark Elves of that setting live underground and have a visceral hatred for their surface dwelling cousins. Wishing to destroy them was their only unifying quality as a race. Despana and Tormtor are the names of Drow noble houses, where Despana was infamous for its demonic summoning.
