Dhu kittens are ambient pets which can be carried in the arms or within a special "home" sack. Kittens can sometimes be altered by merchants, and their "home" sacks are almost always able to be customized. They were originally offered as a quest souvenir on the 2004 run of the Dhu Gillywack.

Once a kitten is attuned, it will not be able to be placed in any container other than its "home" sack. Once in the sack, however, the kitten can be placed in a locker or another container. In order to transfer a kitten to another player, it will have to be GIVEn twice.

Kittens can be interacted with in a variety of ways. One can feed them appropriate foods such as fish, but only when they are hungry.

Kittens are occasionally raffled off, or can be purchased from other players.

  • Look bag
This roomy bag is comfortably padded and constructed of a loose, but strong, silk mesh that allows air to pass in and out freely.
  • Look in bag
Inside your silk bag, you see a pair of eyes staring calmly up at you.
  • Get kitten
You carefully lift the kitten up by the scruff of its neck and then tuck it gently into the crook of your arm.
  • Look kitten
The {kitten} has a self-satisfied appearance as it gazes upon her surrounding world through calm blue eyes. As the kitten sniffs the surrounding air, its tiny whiskers twitch in tandem with the movement of its nose. Although the kitten's fur is {color}, the tips of its little paws are a soft white hue. The kitten's short tail periodically swishes back and forth in a lazy manner.
  • Greet kitten
You draw your {kitten} up close to your face and touch noses with it.
  • Clean kitten
You spit into your hand and wipe a smudge from the side of your {kitten}'s muzzle. It squirms and leans away from you, but you persist until your kitten's face is all clean.
  • Nudge kitten
You poke and prod at your {kitten}, risking life and limb.
With supreme indifference, your {kitten} calmly licks its paw.
  • Your {kitten} twists around to bite your hand. Ouch!
  • Out of nowhere, the {kitten} suddenly grabs your arm with both front legs and then begins to rake you with its back legs. Painful!
  • Your {kitten} hisses warningly, its mouth open to show sharp teeth and its pupils shrinking to slits.
  • Pet kitten
You pet your {kitten}.
Suddenly your {kitten} leaps out of your arms into the air. While in flight, it changes directions completely several times, but still lands on its feet. It runs around wildly, darting crazily from spot to spot, pouncing on nonexistent spiders and batting invisible balls of yarn so fast that its paws blur. Then, as quickly as it began, it leaps back into your arms and begins to serenely lick one paw as if nothing had ever happened.
  • Suddenly, your {kitten}'s attention becomes riveted on a spot in the air somewhere near your right shoulder.
  • Your {kitten} curls its tail around your arm, purring happily.
  • Your {kitten} extends one paw toward your face and you shut your eyes just in time to feel its warm, soft touch on your eyelid.
  • The kitten gazes up at you, its eyes looking round and innocent.
  • With no warning, your kitten's tail puffs up into a club-shaped plume and its eyes fix on your right eyelid.

  • Suddenly, your {kitten}'s attention becomes riveted on a spot in the air somewhere near your right ear.
  • Your {kitten} sinks tiny pin-prick teeth into your arm. It stings, but the little creature seems to know just how far it can go.
  • Your {kitten} looks up at you adoringly and purrs gently.
  • Your {kitten} squirms and twists in your grasp.
  • Suddenly, your {kitten}'s attention becomes riveted on a spot in the air somewhere near your left ear.
  • Your {kitten} hooks a claw into your clothing and then cannot pull it out. It wrestles and twists and tugs until finally you slip a finger under its paw and lift it so that the claw comes free. With a look that very clearly says, "I meant to do that," it returns to staring idly into the distance.
  • Without warning, your {kitten} lets out a yowl so loud it makes your eardrums sizzle.
  • Your {kitten} purrs so loudly, it sounds like a wizard nearby must have cast haste on a woodcutter.
