Dirvy Aerilithren Britbane is a Sylvankind Empath who lives in the town of Icemule Trace. She is the wife of Zailon Britbane Faendryl and Matriarch of the Britbane Family, the Executrix of House Sovyn, the Elder Sentinel Advisor of the Order of the Sphere and Scythe, and the Chairwoman of I.C.I.C.L.E.

Appearance

You see Executrix Dirvy Britbane the Master Physician.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Lassaran D'ahranal.
She is of a slight height and has an hourglass figure. She appears to be young and sprightly. She has sparkling acantha green eyes and flawless snowy white skin. She has ankle-length, white blonde hair styled in an ombre of varying shades of red, with blood red-tipped bangs swept to one side. She has a pert, daintily upturned nose and delicate fae-like features with small, sharply tapered ears belying her Sylvan heritage, and petal pink, bow-shaped lips. She is wearing an icy blue battle standard bearing the burrows of Icemule Trace that juts over her shoulder.

She has a tiny pair of silvery clasped hands set along the slender tips of her pointed ears, a tiny faenor sovyn clove in her left nostril, a series of tattooed tally marks on her neck, a blushing fairy tattoo on her arm, a silvery clasped-hands tattoo on her wrist, a vividly inked chipmunk tattoo riding in a dwarven mining cart on her wrist, an inked bushy-tailed chipmunk on her ankle, a pitch-black crow tattoo perched upon a twisted branch on her ankle, and a tattooed symbol of Imaera on her ankle.

Family

Dirvy Aerilithren Britbane is the only child of Dirlane and Silvy Aerilithren. Dirlane Aerilithren is a full-blooded Sylph who left the Seven Modwirs with his wife just before they were sealed off from the rest of the world. Silvy Braegen is purported to have Fae in her bloodline. It is rumored that Dirvy has a half-sister from a dalliance her father had with a human woman he met in one of the towns their D'ahranal visited. Dirvy has been known to travel with the young priestess who claims to be her sister, though Dirvy has never publicly acknowledged their relation.

Spouses

Nolofinwe Aracano

Very shortly after moving to Icemule, Dirvy met a half-Sylvan Ranger named Nolofinwe Aracano who became enamored with her, though she was not aware of his affection at first. It wasn't until the chime of the new year in 5116, when Nolofinwe kissed her, that she finally saw it.

Nolofinwe was always an impatient man. He had sent for an engagement ring to be delivered to him so he could propose to Dirvy. However, he was too impatient to wait for its arrival, and bought an engagement ring from the local jeweler and proposed to Dirvy on Fashanos 10, 5116. Once the engagement ring arrived that he had ordered, he proposed to her again.

But, being the impatient man he was, he was unable to wait to make her his wife, so he conspired with five friends and married Dirvy on Fashanos 21, 5116. The civil ceremony was held in the Cleric Guild in Icemule and conducted by Kethore. It was witnessed by Nolofinwe's best man Xecnephias, and Dirvy's Maid of Honor Trinaindae, as well as Khambria and Brokkrsten. The couple kept their marriage a secret from their friends and family in Icemule for two weeks, due to the swiftness of their union.

However, in Ivastaen 5116, it was made public that Nolofinwe had been unfaithful to Dirvy. The two parted ways and Dirvy left Icemule for a month. It was at this time that she swore she would never marry again.

Zailon Britbane Faendryl

One of the first people Dirvy met in Icemule was Zailon Britbane Faendryl, a very quiet, mysterious Dark Elven Sorcerer, who rarely spoke aloud, but was often seen whispering to her long into the night in Icemule's Town Center.

In Olaesta 5116, Zailon and Dirvy, who had become very close friends by then, suffered a rift in their friendship when Zailon became engaged to a ranger named Eldanari. Though Eldanari had been a friend to both Dirvy and Nolofinwe, Dirvy had warned Zailon that she felt his betrothed was not a good match for him, and she feared Eldanari would hurt him.

Sometime in Phoenatos 5116, word quickly spread that Eldanari had cancelled their wedding. Because of this, Dirvy sought out Zailon to repair their friendship and help console him. It helped that they were both frequently on Teras at the time, and it was not long before the two were close once more.

In Lumnea 5117, Zailon and Dirvy's relationship changed and they began discussing their future together. This was made difficult, because both of them were with other people at the time. They decided to end their relationships, but kept their romance out of the public eye until the anger of their former lovers abated. On Phoenatos 2, 5117, Zailon proposed to Dirvy.

On Eoantos 17, 5117, they were married in a forest glade with more than 80 friends and family in attendance. The ceremony was performed by Brokkrsten and witnessed by Zailon's best man Rovvigen, and Dirvy's best man Mikalmas. The wedding included the Sylvan and Faendryl tradition of planting a pair of trees, their own vows, and their kittens served as ringbearers.

(Brokkrsten moves along the side of the seated guests toward the altar, and places his prayerbook on its smooth surface. He opens it to a bookmarked page, and briefly peruses its passages, before turning to face Luxelle.)

Brokkrsten turns to face Luxelle.

Brokkrsten nods at Luxelle.

(Luxelle moves to the front.)

Sweet tones ring in the air as the glowbark harp responds to Luxelle's tender touch. She closes her eyes and seems to be listening with a soft smile.

Luxelle stills her body as she prepares to play a slow tune on her harp. She takes a quiet breath, then begins the introduction with gentle ease.

Luxelle says, "This song is called, "Sing Me The Sunset"."

Sweet tones ring in the air as the glowbark harp responds to Luxelle's tender touch. She closes her eyes and seems to be listening with a soft smile.

Like sparkling droplets falling in a pond, a liquid run of notes drips from Luxelle's glowbark harp in descending triplets.

Luxelle sings:

"Sing me the sunset, he asked of her, Sing me the story of you and me. Remind me once more, our young days of yore, Sing to me now all the reasons 'we'."

(Luxelle shifts into a higher, sweeter, register and the harp's triplets brighten under her voice.) Luxelle's touch on her glowbark harp's strings is as soft as a lover's caress; music of a persuasively gentle, romantic nature spills forth like a cascade of golden tresses.

Luxelle sings:

"She sang him the colours of their love, For him she painted a life enshrined, Using melody sweet, with each heart beat, The scene played out in meter and rhyme."

Luxelle plucks a quiet song on her glowbark harp with ease and subtlety; the musical nuances appealingly intimate.

Luxelle sings:

"Sing me the circle, he prompted her, Sing me the power you made for me. Tell me again, how it began, Sing to me now the essence of 'we'."

As Luxelle lightly accompanies the melody on her glowbark harp with gentle arpeggios, the tune becomes ever more lyrical, with a captivating charm.

Luxelle sings:

"She sang him the dreams they planned, they shared, When light and dark dared to be one. Her voice pledged again, the sacred words, Oath bound, blood mixed, and ne'er undone."

The melody takes on a sweet languor as Luxelle's fingers easily caress the strings of her glowbark harp.

Luxelle sings:

"Sing me the flower, the very rose, Sing me the secrets of you and me. Remember the start you gave my heart? Sing to me now, the fragrance of 'we'."

Luxelle sings:

Luxelle brings her quiet performance to a close with three descending harmonics; these last notes ring on, barely heard, as she lets her arms fall to her sides.

Luxelle closes her eyes for a moment.

Luxelle drops into a deep curtsy, moving smoothly as her arms sweep grandly to her sides.

Pale white pumpkins, their faces masterfully carved with intricate snowflakes, line the aisle. Soft candlelight plays gently within the pumpkins, throwing soft shadows along the moonflower petal-strewn path.

(Luxelle quietly takes her seat.)

Luxelle sits down.

Brokkrsten heartily directs, "Alright you lot, quiet down and we'll get started in a moment."

(Rovvigen steps from the shadows and walks up the center aisle, nodding to a few guests in greeting, before taking his place on the groom's side before the altar.)

Grand Lord Mikalmas just arrived.

(Mikalmas follows in Rovvigen's wake, his hands clasped solemnly before him, as he moves to take his place on the bride's side before the altar.)

The sound of hoofbeats can be heard echoing through the forest as a procession of three horsemen makes their way into the glade and quietly dismounts from their horses. The horsemen take up solemn positions, looking back from whence they came.

The sound of a lone rider approaches, and Zailon enters the glade astride a pale horse. He dismounts and makes a swift gesture; the horse fading, becoming indistinct.

The horsemen turn toward Zailon and make a low bow before regaining their mounts to make their way out the glade.

Zailon walks toward Brokkrsten.

Zailon smiles.

Brokkrsten heartily directs, "If ye'd be so kind, please get off yer tuffs an' stand fer the bride."

Zailon grins.

Zailon gazes at his surroundings.

Seemingly out of nowhere, a bouquet of white faewood blossoms bound with ice blue silk ribbons falls to the ground, its blossoms unmarred from the tumble.

A shuffling sound is heard overhead before Dirvy drops from the branches of a faewood tree at the back of the seated guests, landing on her bare feet. A sheepish smile tugs at the corners of Dirvy's lips as she picks leaves and twigs from her hair.

Dirvy stifles a yawn.

Dirvy rubs her acantha green eyes.

Looking a little flustered, Dirvy begins to nervously chew on her lower lip and repeatedly attempts to tuck an imagined strand of hair under her icicle diadem. Realizing what she's doing, she quickly lowers her hand as a faint blush creeps up her neck and face.

Dirvy runs her hands down the length of her white bridal veil, smoothing out a wrinkle or two.

Dirvy runs her hand over the wide skirts of a white-corseted bridal gown with snowflakes spilling down the voluminous ice blue tulle skirts, gently adjusting the fall of the fabric.

Reaches down and retrieves her fallen bouquet, before taking her place by Eruheran's side and placing her free hand on the crook of his arm with an apologetic smile.

Dirvy blushes a nice shade of pink.

(Eruheran walks Dirvy down the aisle, pausing in front of Mikalmas.)

Dirvy offers Mikalmas a fragrant bouquet of white faewood blossoms bound with ice blue ribbons.

(Eruheran closes the distance to the altar, then takes Dirvy's hand, and offers her to Zailon.)

Dirvy kisses Eruheran tenderly on the cheek.

Zailon clasps Dirvy's hand tenderly.

(Eruheran moves quietly to take his seat at the front of a row.)

Dirvy turns to face Brokkrsten.

Zailon turns to face Brokkrsten.

Brokkrsten deeply says, "This evenin' we are gathered here ta witness the joinin' of Dirvy an Zailon."

Brokkrsten deeply says, "We do so under the gaze o' Imaera, whose stars above stand in silent testimony o' these proceedin's."

Brokkrsten gazes up into the heavens.

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"Imaera, behold our family here assembled. We thank ya fer this place in which we dwell, And fer the love that unites us. We ask yer blessing upon this union between Dirvy an Zailon."

Brokkrsten glances between Dirvy and Zailon.

Brokkrsten turns to face Zailon.

Brokkrsten smiles and nods to Zailon.

Shadows grow and a chill creeps through the air. A raucous crow flaps its wings, disturbing the stillness of the forest, and perches on a branch overhead. It tilts its head back and forth, watching the ceremony below.

Zailon turns to face Dirvy.

Zailon clasps Dirvy's hand tenderly.

Zailon says, "I promise to be your lover, friend and companion."

Zailon says, "Your ally in scandal."

Zailon says, "Your greatest fan and your most ardent champion."

Dirvy gazes lovingly at Zailon.

Zailon says, "Your cohort in coffee."

Dirvy softly giggles.

Zailon says, "Your standard bearer, and kitten wrangler."

Dirvy bites her lip.

Zailon says, "Your accomplice in mischief."

Zailon says, "This is my vow to you, my equal in all things."

Dirvy gazes lovingly at Zailon.

Zailon smiles lovingly at Dirvy and gently squeezes her hand.

Brokkrsten turns to face Dirvy.

Brokkrsten smiles and nods to Dirvy.

A crisp snapping sound is heard in the dark as a twig breaks, and a tawny brown doe steps from the forest. The doe moves closer toward the circle of candlelight to quietly observe the gathering, before she silently turns and retreats into the forest.

Dirvy gazes lovingly at Zailon.

Dirvy takes a deep breath.

Dirvy recites bashfully to Zailon:

"I will never forget the moment I fell in love with you."

Zailon smiles.

Dirvy recites reflectively to Zailon:

"A few weeks after you first kissed me, you conspired with your best man and our very dear friend, Rovvigen, and planned an event called "Tales of First Loves"."

Dirvy recites shyly to Zailon:

"This event was to announce to all of Elanthia that we were officially and publicly together."

Dirvy recites diffidently to Zailon:

"I remember whispering to you that I was not your first love."

Dirvy blushes a pink shade at Zailon, the color darkening her whole face!

Dirvy recites amusedly to Zailon:

"Your response was, "Says who?""

Zailon gazes lovingly at Dirvy.

Dirvy recites emotionally to Zailon:

"I promise to cherish every moment with you, as if it was our last."

"I promise to notice the little things you do and make a big deal of them."

Dirvy recites resolutely to Zailon:

"I promise to always find you if you are lost."

Dirvy reaches over and gently traces Zailon's cheek with her fingertip.

"'Tis been a long wedding tradition o' both Sylvans an Faendryl, that the bridal couple would plant a pair o' trees which were encouraged to grow around each other, becoming stronger as a pair."

"As the trees became one, it symbolized the couple's loyalty, unity, an strength."

"Today, as Dirvy an Zailon begin their life together, they hae chosen ta carry on this tradition, By planting a pair o' witchwood saplings that represent the healing nature o' a physician an the magical prowess o' a sorcerer."

(Zailon takes Dirvy by the hand and leads her to an area off to the right, where the ground has been broken and a wide, deep hole has been dug.)

(Brokkrsten makes his way toward the couple and stands on the opposite side of the freshly dug hole.)

Brokkrsten deeply says, "Ladies an Gentlemen, if ye will bow yer heads so that I might ask Imaera ta bless this ground."

Dirvy inclines her head.

Zailon inclines his head.

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"Honored Imaera, rooted in the dark earth, Tender shoots an golden sheaves alike are yers."

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"Noble goddess, provider of healin', We ask yer blessin' of this ground, an' fer the spark of life so that these trees will prosper."

(Rovvigen follows Mikalmas toward the small dig site and stands with him near two small witchwood saplings.)

(Mikalmas passes Zailon a pair of gardening gloves.)

(Rovvigen waits for Zailon to finish putting on his gloves, before picking up one of the witchwood saplings and handing it to him.)

(Mikalmas hands Dirvy the other pair of gardening gloves, which Dirvy quickly pulls onto her small hands.)

(Rovvigen picks up the remaining witchwood sapling and hands it to her.)

(Zailon takes a step to the left, so that Dirvy can place her witchwood sapling into the hole first, before placing his alongside Dirvy's.)

(Rovvigen retrieves two shovels that were placed near the hole and hands one to Dirvy and the other to Zailon, then moves to stand near Mikalmas.)

(Dirvy takes a step back and picks up a scoop of dirt with her shovel, careful not to get her gown dirty, as she dumps the dirt over the exposed roots of the saplings.)

(Zailon takes Dirvy's shovel and places it to the side of the hole, then finishes filling in the hole with loose dirt. Once he finishes, he places his shovel next to Dirvy's.)

(Dirvy begins to gather her skirts to kneel, but Zailon stops her and kneels in her place to smooth the dirt over the refilled hole, before replacing the sod.)

(Dirvy helps Zailon to stand; Zailon pauses to dust the loose dirt from his knees.)

(Zailon peels off the gardening gloves and hands them back to Mikalmas.)

(Dirvy removes her gloves and passes them to Mikalmas.)

(Zailon slips his hand in Dirvy's, and leads her back to the altar; Mikalmas, Rovvigen, and Brokkrsten follow closely behind.)

(Mikalmas places the gardening gloves behind the altar, before taking his place before the altar on the bride's side.)

(Rovvigen quietly takes his place in front of the altar on the groom's side.)

(Brokkrsten waits for Rovvigen and Mikalmas to take their places, then moves to stand before the altar and turns to face the wedding couple once more.)

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"Ta make yer marriage work will take love. This is the core of yer marriage an why ye are here today."

Dirvy tilts her head toward Brokkrsten, examining him intently as the tip of one ear twitches briefly.

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"It will take trust, ta know, that in yer hearts, ye truly want what is best fer each other."

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"It will take dedication, ta stay open to one another - an ta learn an grow together."

Brokkrsten recites thunderously:

"It will take fireballs an implosions, ta slay yer enemies before ya..."

Dirvy stares at Brokkrsten.

Brokkrsten coughs.

Brokkrsten takes a deep breath.

Brokkrsten recites deeply:

"It will take faith, ta go forward together, without knowing 'xactly what tha future brings."

"An' it will take commitment, ta hold true ta the journey ye both have pledged to today."

An inky black kitten and a pumpkin orange tabby kitten make their way down the aisle, periodically stopping to pounce on each other as one crosses in the other's path, or pawing at the snow white ribbons tied around each other's neck.

Dirvy softly giggles.

The inky black kitten makes her way towards Rovvigen with minimal coaxing, and immediately turns away from him and grooms herself with studied indifference. Quietly clucking his tongue in a soft, scolding manner, he unties the ribbon from her neck and slips the small wedding band off one end.

The pumpkin orange kitten scampers up to Brokkrsten, trying to bat at the hem of his kilt, before Mikalmas snaps to get her attention. She pads towards Mikalmas and whaps at him as he unties the ribbon from her neck and slips the larger wedding band off the end.

Speaking quietly to Rovvigen, Brokkrsten says, "Please present the ring to the groom."

Rovvigen offers Zailon a frosted balenite wedding band.

Zailon accepts Rovvigen's balenite band.

Brokkrsten quietly asks, "Will the bride an' groom turn an face each other?"

Zailon turns to face Dirvy.

Dirvy turns to face Zailon.

Speaking quietly to Zailon, Brokkrsten says, "Take Dirvy's hand."

Zailon clasps Dirvy's hand gently and pulls her into his tight embrace.

Speaking deeply to Zailon, Brokkrsten asks, "Do ye take Dirvy ta be yer wife, ta have an ta hold from this day forward fer better or fer worse, fer richer or fer poorer, in sickness and in health, ta love an ta cherish until death but nae zombies do ye part?"

Zailon says, "I do."

Zailon smiles softly and slowly slides a frosted balenite wedding band onto Dirvy's left ring finger.

A bushy-tailed chipmunk is seen scampering between the rows of guests, causing a couple of women to hike up the hem of their skirts as they softly squeal and gasp.

In the distance, you feel - but not quite hear - an echo of what could have been thunder.

(Zailon leans in close and gently lifts Dirvy's veil from her face.)

A slight movement out of the corner of your eyes causes you to look up briefly, just in time to see it begin to lightly snow in the glade.

Zailon kisses Dirvy on the lips for what seems like an eternity.

Mikalmas offers Dirvy a fragrant bouquet of white faewood blossoms bound with ice blue ribbons.

In Imaerasta 5116, Dirvy met a young priestess by the name of Neianna, who had just arrived in Icemule. She took this girl under her wing, and helped her learn the town. Dirvy also introduced her to some clerical friends who helped her learn her craft. Dirvy also arranged for this girl to be inducted as a member into House Sovyn. So grateful for the attention and care, Neianna asked Dirvy if she would adopt her. Dirvy, having not been married long enough to even consider having children, immediately agreed.

Neianna Aerilithren is currently traveling abroad.

Early in Eorgaen 5117, Dirvy met a young Dwarven Monk named Tylayli ForgedFury in the town of Kharam Dzu. What was at first an offhanded remark about Dirvy adopting him, turned into a serious discussion between Zailon, Dirvy and Tylayli. The Britbanes agreed to accept Tylayli as their ward for the time being.
