Both the arena and are keepers for June.

Hopefully we will have some other surprises as well.

Arena format is 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3. A hardmode isn't in the cards at this time.

Sewers are pretty close to the same.

Moonshards have run dry!

Subject: Duskruin: Schedule and Pertinent Information

A more complete list of updates will be emailed and posted early next week, but here is some of the needed information.

  • The event will run from June 15th (9pm ET) until July 1st (11:59pm ET).
  • Dueling slips and rat tokens are being retired.
    • They will still be good at the arena and sewers. They will not work at the Bank Heist.
  • A new stamped voucher booklet will work for everything at the Duskruin event.
    • We are offering them in quantities of 1, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250. Pricing is the same as the former items.
  • The HESS will open on Saturday, June 16th, at roughly 9pm ET. The staggered opening is needed due to a lot of new content we are putting out that may cause some hiccups.
    • HESS retired the following certificates: Undead Bane, Weight Reduction, Hidden Bracers, and Troll Hearts.
    • HESS has quite a number of new additions that we will announce early next week.
  • MoonShards and the pendants will no longer drop.
    • Bloodrunes will continue to drop, a new legendary bloodrune has also been added for this run.
  • The Old Farmhouse (NerveStaves), Khloake and Dagger, Skyfire, and A Flash of Strength have been retired.

Subject: Updates to Duskruin

There were a large number of updates to the event with the Bank Heist. There will be a few more updates staggered with the opening.

  • There is a supernode inside the Viridian Coil.
  • Each lounge in the Bank Heist's hideouts are normal nodes and sanctuaries.
  • The DUSKRUIN verb will be updated later tonight or early tomorrow.
  • Your progress with the Bank Heist will be stored in the DUSKRUIN verb.
  • You receive bonus bloodscrip doing the sewers, arena, or heist if you worked the Bank Heist. The SI get a bonus to the arena. The PH get a bonus to the heist. The OC get a bonus to the sewers. This will be displayed in the DUSKRUIN verb.
  • The arena now tracks your last time and your fastest time. This will be displayed in the DUSKRUIN verb.
  • More titles will be added early next week!
  • You gain additional exp in the Bank Heist for completing it.
  • You now gain a very small amount of exp in the sewers.

And as a reminder, HESS will be open Saturday after 9pm ET. We will try to make sure it is as close to 9pm ET as possible.

Subject: End of Duskruin Wrap Up

Here are the details as we begin to hit the final leg of Duskruin.

Due to how the WPS service windows work, we're going to leave Duskruin open until July 4th at 11:59pm ET to give everyone time to use it beyond a Sunday. There weren't any plans to leave the arena, heist, or sewers open during this time, but due to how smithy invites work, we wanted to make sure it will be fair for everyone involved.

Skryn will be around Sunday at 9pm ET until 9:30pm ET. He will return Tuesday at roughly 1pm ET. He will transform black ora jewelry into the lesser forms. It must be made of black ora. Not blackened ora. Not darkened ora. He will then offer a select number of transforming lesser into greater. They must already be lesser black ora jewelry. He is not working on weapons.

Dett will be around Sunday afternoon (around 1pm ET) briefly to auction off two low steel ores that can be created into a weapon or shield of the winners choice (outside a claidhmore, katana, or naginata). This will be created from the ore after the auction (this isn't for forging). The minimum bid will be 500,000 bloodscrip. If they do not sell, then they go away until another time. The reserve is set in stone.

Lahke will be raffling off a set of rods, swatches, dust, and veniom for the bags of holding. It's not a complete set, but it will be a bundle of them to get you on your way to making a bigger bag. The raffle will cost bloodscrip and you can buy as many tickets as you'd like. This will be set up Friday afternoon at some point and will be drawn on Sunday before Dett's auction.

Lastly, Lahke will be doing something a bit different that will involve a blood crystal (and maybe some other things). Keep your eyes on our socials for when this will be happening.

All instances are being extended. The services offered in this manner are for Prime only. Platinum has something else going on Sunday evening, which has been posted on their forums.

Subject: Corpse Removal and Timer Bonus

Recently, it was brought to my attention that there was something people were gaining an infinite advantage of in Duskruin Arena to speed up the way the arena mechanics work. This really didn't get much attention in prior runs because the solo matches could only be sped up by a max of 100 seconds. But with the team matches, it could speed it up by 300 seconds. This falls into an exploit. It's an unintended way to consistently bypass a mechanic that was put in place and balanced. The item that was causing it were the ShadowDeath items.

We can debate that there are other items that can achieve this and certain spells that cause this, but there isn't a means to do this routinely and consistently that I am aware of. We can also talk about the advantages of having better gear in the arena overall being unfair as well because you can kill more efficiently. But this isn't about killing creatures better or surviving. It's about getting around an intended mechanic that was put in place. Several runs ago, we extended the timer from 5 minutes to 8 minutes to account for the corpse removal slow down and some minor lag from tons of combat formulas happening.

It's too late in the run to make a drastic change, but moving forward, the bloodscrip time bonus will be removed and replaced with something that can be measured on your combat efficiency. Since corpse removal happens in a few other areas, we'll just drop this controversial side effect of a timer high score. I'm not sure what that will be. For the remaining run, I'll revert the changes made on the ShadowDeath items.

The timer title will remain in place, and your fastest times will still be measured.

>>I think people would have been less angry about the nerf if you had posted as the nerf was implemented, instead of having to be called out on it by multiple people and posting days later. When will staff get that the playerbase does not like stealth nerfs (even if it is actually a bug fix and you think people are taking advantage of a situation)? I get that you're incredibly busy, but better communication is needed.

We don't typically announce game mechanics abuse bugs as being resolved on the forums too often, which is exactly what this is. No, people aren't in violation of POLICY over it, but it was circumventing a normal game mechanics to speed up the game play and in some cases, maximizing returns where they wouldn't have been achieved. You don't find these announced in many games, because it shines a spotlight on the situation and pushes people to find another way. You can see this over in the Items and Inventory topic when it was explained you can still bypass the mechanics with a void bomb.

I realize you might say communication could be better, but GemStone IV communication is thorough and reactive, again, comparing to what's out there. Dev communicates often. We take player feedback into heavy consideration. We push out quality of life improvements during live events almost always. A large chunk of our GameMasters participate with players daily. You have almost constant communication from the Product Manager here on the forums, Discord, or in game. I'm massively available.

Now you might want specifics communicated with you that help you personally or help the community as a whole, but our engagement level is pretty high considering our size. You might wish we were more proactive when it came to pushing communication out. But there are a limited number of people who actually do this sort of stuff, and that's not by design, but an unfortunate side effect with how we work (no centralization).

Yes, I'm busy, but I still take the time to work things out.

Subject: Bank Heist: Coming Soon

The Bank Heist is finally coming! For those that haven't been in this topic since the beginning, it was part of the original conception of this event that never could get the detail it deserved. I didn't want to rush this just to push it out, so it sat in a design phase for a few years. It's definitely evolved quite a bit, and I think it will be enjoyed.

I'll have more details about it soon, but just some quick tidbits to hold everyone over.

  • You will choose if you want to aid in the heist, stop the heist, or stop those trying to prevent the heist.
  • The Bank Heist is a solo adventure.
  • There is a mix of puzzles (mild) and combat (like level and bosses).
  • Some tasks are skill based, but have optional ways to complete if you are without the proper skill.
  • There will be some unique rewards that tie-in the arena and sewers.
  • Bloodscrip is a reward, as is incidental loot and a new collectible.

Subject: The Bank Heist: A Primer

First off, huge thank you to Platinum for their diligent testing. They uncovered a lot of things that vastly improved the experience.

The Bank Heist is split into three factions, the Silent Investors (SI), the Poisoned Heretics (PH), and the Ophidian Cabal (OC). Each have their own tasks they are set to do in the bank. You have roughly 5 minutes to complete the your mission. There is combat and some minor puzzles in each that are similar, but different. Each have their own set of skill checks. The SI also has a stat check. These will make your time easier in the bank, but aren't required. Each group is trying to make it to the vault. To enter the bank, you'll need a stamped voucher (from the SimuCoin Store) and you'll want to GO with the various faction members in the hideouts.

The SI are a hired militia/vigilantes that are tasked to stop the bank heist from happening. They're targeting the OC, but they also have to deal with the PH. Their job is to find and track the threats inside the bank. Once they complete their mission (or maybe failed), they will be awarded with a prize pouch.

The PH are a band of assassins that are working to stop the SI. They aren't allied with the OC, and their motives are unknown. Their job is to watch and sneak around the bank and assassinate the SI marauders. Like above, they will be rewarded with a prize pouch.

The OC are bandits who just want one thing. The riches inside the vault. They observe their surroundings, looking for things to steal. Unlike the above, they aren't awarded a prize pouch, but whatever they steal they keep.

Each of the factions also give special awards that can make things easier for activities throughout Duskruin. They aren't too common, so keep an eye out for these trinkets.

There is a new collectible for the heist, which you'll want to talk with the OC's ringleader about to get started. The collectibles needed are found only inside the bank.

Improvements to the final quest reward can be found in the sewers.

To clarify the bonus bloodscrip earned from the Bank Heist, it only applies to solo matches. If this is an issue please go ahead and drop me an email so we can get it worked out. At the time of this post, only 20 entries have gone through to the SI portion of the heist.

Subject: Heist QoL Updates

Given feedback in Prime, I've made some new changes that will be live in just a moment.

The timer in the Bank Heist is now paused during the boss battle. While it was intended for you to lose if you didn't complete the last step before being moved out, it was a bit confusing, but the reasoning was because the waves you faced were not the ONLY waves in the bank. It was like a game of cat and mouse. Regardless, that feature no longer exists.

Due to the timer being paused, the boss can summon unlimited backup (adds) to add some difficulty that isn't a tight timer.

There is now a chance that you will encounter no enemies in the bank. You'll need to perform a simple task to move on.

The Poisoned Heretics now have a more distinguished boss (when you play as a Silent Investor).

Odds to find rare and very rare artifacts have been upped quite a bit. The blood crystal is considered extremely rare. Overall, the odds are much better than moonshard pendants now.

Okay, Sunday fixes are in.

  • No more whistling arms and animals.
  • Only marauders, assassins, and bandits can summon.
  • The Poisoned Heretics are awarded a heist bonus properly now. Cap for the PH is 220.

You'll still see Poisoned Heretics Entries: 0** though, since you are automatically awarded it (+1 -1). This is available in the DUSKRUIN verb in case of instances where you're removed prematurely or you earn them another way (coming soon at a future Duskruin).

  • Dying in the heist with call familiar up and no deeds will stop being weird. (This is also fixed in the arena).

Subject: Bank Heist and Immersion

When we rolled out the Bank Heist, we wanted it to be a more immersive experience with discovery. The Bank Heist takes place in three secret hideouts for the three factions.

The Silent Investors can be found somewhere in the Hushed Park.

The Poisoned Heretics are rumored to be on Pewter Road. Some have been found hanging around The Dented Phylactery.

The Ophidian Cabal tend to hang out off Copper Road in a tavern named the Keg of the Bloody Asp.

Look in these places to find clues how to access the hideouts.

When joining each group, during the first "stage" of the heist, you will receive clues on how to understand the flow of the event. It's not too difficult, but the way to complete it isn't quite a cookie cutter guess-the-verb puzzle.

Hey all,

This is now open.

The stand and rack have 5x "traditional" Iasha-style weapons.

The certificates:

  • The unlocking one should hopefully be very straightforward.
  • The "Lesser All-Profession upgrade" confers the script-related benefits (the holy fire flares and the verb messaging) to all professions for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Iasha weapons. To be clear, you can add it to a Tier 1 weapon or a Tier 2 weapon -- what order you do it in makes zero difference.

Greater All-Profession upgrade -- no plans to offer this during this run of Duskruin, but it will allow Tier 3 Iashas to confer the WIS+teleport benefits to any profession -- however, it requires that the weapon it is added to have the Lesser AP upgrade already on/in place. (In other words, if you're a cleric/paladin, you follow the traditional Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 sequence per usual. If you are any other profession, to get the full benefits of a Tier 3 Iasha, you would need to follow a Tier 1, Tier 2, Lesser AP upgrade at T1 -or- T2, Tier 3, Greater AP upgrade.)

What are the ranges of mana/stamina/health that can be in the vials that pop from vial flares? Been a couple people asking about this in discord etc.

Health: 50-70 HPs Mana: 5-75, depending on the character who drinks it (not the character who created the vial) stats and skills. Wisdom or Aura (depending on the profession), Magical Item Use (largest factor), and Mana Control (any type up to 100 skill bonus). Stamina: 5-75, depending on the character who drinks it (not the character who created the vial) stats and skills. Wisdom or Aura (depending on the profession), Magical Item Use (largest factor), and Physical Fitness (up to 100 skill bonus).

The chance for the flare is also based off the same stats/skills, minus Mana Control and Physical Fitness, with a few other factors (must not be a killing blow, creature must have health for the health vial, mana for the mana vial, etc). Up to 9 (determined by your Magical Item Use ranks) vials can be created every 48 hours.

Subject: HESS Updates

As I mentioned before, HESS will have a staggered opening by a full day of the event (June 16th at roughly 9pm ET). We're also retiring Undead Bane, Weight Reduction, Hidden Bracers, and Troll Hearts. But we're adding a lot more this time around.

We're adding the following items:

  • Blink certificates. (5 total)
  • Enchants and Partial Enchants.
  • Wandering Tattoos.
  • Resistance. (limited to how many can go on a single item)
  • Enhancive skill boosts certificate. (limited to how many can go on a single item)
  • 6 month enhancive charges. (no spell knowledge)
  • Low steel weapons and shield. (premade, 1 of each total)
  • High steel weapons and armor. (premade, 1 of each total)
  • Vial flares (health, mana, and stamina).
  • Censer. (Grand Auction of 5116, 2 total. Back by request)
  • Tier 3 Briar Flares certificate.
  • ...and a few new things should they roll out of QC in time.

We have the low/high steel equipment already made, but if there is a POPULAR choice we can switch it up before Thursday. We're only doing 2 weapons total for each low and high. One shield for low and one armor for high. Keep in mind, they have a level requirement of 100, so only suggest something if you are going to be looking to buy it. They will come with a hefty price tag of 200,000 bloodscrip.

The following list is tentatively going to be rotated and/or retired from the Scrip Shop after this run. This isn't a guarantee that these items may not come back in December or in 2019. It's the current plan though. Plans sometimes (usually) change.

Everything on the weapon rack.
Everything on the armor stand.
Permabless with holy water flares certificate.
Ironwright certificate.
RotFlares certificate.
De-fusion certificate.
Greater Elemental certificate.
Blink certificate.
Bubble Flares certificate.
Knockout Flares certificate.
Polearm Flares certificate.
Master Instrument certificate.
The enruned veniom band.
The enruned urglaes ring.
The white ora censer.
The silver-based sleek crystal sphere.

I realize that's a big list, but we have plans to add some new flavor to the HESS for next time.

Subject: A Glittering Ticket

A clarification since I realized I incorrectly stated the maximum number of items a shimmer trinket can store. The glittering ticket will read as:

This glittering ticket will add 1 appearance set to an existing Shimmer Trinket. No matter the number of total appearance sets, a trinket can only store the appearance of a set number of items, determined by the number of items in your largest set times the number of sets, up to 100. i.e. you can have 5 sets with 20 items each, but if one set has 21 items, you can then only have 4 sets (since 5 x 21 = 105, which is greater than 100, so not possible).

It's not 100 items total. It's (# of items in largest set) x (number of sets), which can't be greater than 100.

Subject: New Duskruin Weapons: Sprite Weapons

Hey everyone, new to this Duskruin run will be a collection of sprite weapons. These weapons hold a sprite within them that can do a lot of stuff. These are similar to parasite weapons, but with a jovial sprite that feeds on mana instead of blood. Some things may change before they hit the shelves, but here is a sneak peak. I'm 95% sure they will be ready in time.

The staff itself has two appearances. Active and inactive. In addition, it summons a sprite companion that hangs out with you and is fantastically charming.

Appearance

You see GameMaster Retser.
He appears to be a bro.
He is holding a splintered wooden crook covered in burn marks in his right hand.

Retser pushes his hand down the surface of his wooden crook. A small white sprite materializes near the end of his crook. The distorted surface begins to mend as glyphs appear and fade across its surface. A final pulse of white light reveals a glowing wooden crook. The white sprite flits just over his shoulder.

The white sprite flying above Retser's shoulder whispers something to him.

There is a small white sprite flying above his shoulder.

Abilities

Sprite Swarm: Attacks with a wave of sprites.
Cooldown: 10 minutes.
Verb: Raise

Sprite Power: Calls upon sprite swarms instead of your standard sprite flare for 60 seconds.
This can only happen once every 10 seconds during that time.
Cooldown: 120 minutes.

Sprite Drain: Increases your mana regeneration for 10 minutes.
Cooldown: 60 minutes.

Fairy Ward: Allows wielder to block dispel spells by consuming stored mana. This effect lasts for 10 minutes.
Limit: 1 Major or 3 lesser.
Cooldown: 60 minutes.

Sprite Flares: Damages target with sprite at the cost of mana.
Verb: Prod to turn ON/OFF.

Ambients

The sprite itself interacts with you in a variety of ways, it has a ton of messaging of which more unlocks as you unlock it further.
The white sprite flitting over your shoulder leans over and whispers, "Do you know how fast an unladen sprite is?"

Sprite Flares

The flares themselves can be turned on and off, cost mana, and come with a damage type of krush. A very rare service will be available to change this to any damage type. In addition, they grow stronger with higher affinity.

incant 702 You trace an intricate sign that contorts in the air while forcefully invoking Mana Disruption...

When used, it will replace your standard flare with the sprite swarm. This can only occur once every 10 seconds and lasts for 60 seconds.

Hello!

I'm here to discuss Solar and Nebular weapons with you.

Let me start by sharing some of their info:

-- Nebular Weapons --

You analyze your vultite falchion and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

This is a Nebular Weapon that grants its wielder the power of starlight during the hours of the night by giving a bonus that increases as the night reaches its apex. However, as the night wanes, so do its powers, and it begins to give a minus during the day.

The falchion has access to the following verbs at its current tier of 1 (OTS) out of 4: rub, salute, and tilt.

You may alter this item freely provided that it never has a description that would oppose the spheres of Ronan's domain.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the vultite falchion for you.

-- Solar Weapons --

You analyze your vultite falchion and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

This is a Solar Weapon that grants its wielder the power of sunlight during the hours of the day by giving a bonus that increases as the day reaches its apex. However, as the day wanes, so do its powers, and it begins to give a minus during the night.

In the shop the Penitent Petitioner, you can buy a 4x Solar or Nebular weapon off the shelf, they naturally have cold (Nebular) or fire (Solar) flares.

There will be unlocking certificates available as well, some will be limited and the price will scale.

There are only hilted or hafted weapons at this time.

> Do these take up the script slot or flare slot or both?

Both

> Are these going to be priced similar to the retired Nerve shop? And is there a runestaff version?

There is not a runestaff version at this time. I'm not sure of Nerve shop pricing, so I can't answer this.

> Krakii

What?

The bonus will not ever prevent someone from taking their weapon out or putting it away or anything like that if they can hold vultite, then they can always wield this.

Also, It's not based on hour but based on time type (ie Sunrise, Midmorning, etc.)

Here's some more info:

Good Morning,

Yes, absolutely but not this run. The script is designed for a weapon that has a hilt or a haft. Here's an example of why:

bow my falchion
With a small flourish, you twirl a vultite falchion at your side and then lower yourself into a deep bow, your right leg extended behind you as you bend your left knee.

You kneel down.

bow my falchion
Curling your left hand behind your back, you raise a vultite falchion in your clenched right fist and tap it to your left shoulder. Holding the falchion in place, you incline your head in a small bow of respect.

You move to a sitting position.

bow falchion
Laying a vultite falchion across the tops of your knees, you maintain one hand on the hilt and gesture invitingly with the other.

You lie down.

bow falchion
Rolling to your back, you lay a vultite falchion across the length of your body, keeping your right hand on the hilt and the other beneath your head.

Tier 1 - Sun/Star Bonus cycles +/- Verbs: Salute, Rub, Tilt
Tier 2 - Sun/Star bonus doubles +/- Verbs: Bow, Touch, Pray
Tier 3 - Flares - Sunlight/Starlight - Verb: Raise (Temp Eyechar Change lasts 5 min)
Tier 4 - 1x day Spell Affect Verb: Chant

>A fiery plume of hissing smoke trails your illthorn runestaff as you stow it in your runestaff sling.

Maybe you've said your Blessings...

>A searing arc of radiant golden light trails your illthorn runestaff as you draw it from your runestaff sling.

Or maybe you're studied in Demonology...

>You touch your runestaff sling, and a cloud of black energy pulses from it to encompass your hand.

Either way, I can promise you almost everyone who wields a runestaff will enjoy what is to be discovered in The Art of Lore.

>>How will these be able to be unlocked? I have one and like my fire with it, yay.<<

Well, that is TBD, but I may have oversold the unlocking...

The Third Tier is a very nice fluff feature that everyone will appreciate, and will not change anyone's life, and will be offered in abundance in the future. If you have a T2 sling, you have most of what the sling will ever offer.

The Fourth Tier is intended to be exceeeeedingly rare, and is pure fluff. It was never intended for release at this Duskruin, but we designed this item with long term intentions.

>>Any hint as to how much lore is needed for these to do fancy things? I dont' want to buy something that yells "you're young and you suck haha!" every time I put my staff away :P <<

For the elementals, it's actually not a lore requirement: you just need to be attuned to the element. And lightning is included!

For the lores, it's not a high requirement but it's not one rank. Someone will figure it out WINKY EMOJI. The design intention was: if you focus on a lore, you have the power to manifest this magic. To keep it from being noise that anyone can summon.

>>Are bards almost everyone? Asking for ... well, you know :)<<

You're a runestaff bard? Are you insane?? Well good because Mental lores are definitely included. I mean, Religion lore is included! Lores!

Hello,

There seem to be some misconceptions about the Magic Sling. I'd like to help clear them up.

PUT/DROP/STOW/SHEATH - All one set of messaging
GET/GIRD/READY - All another set of messaging.

If you have a Tier 2 unlock, then you have 2 RANDOM types of messaging that cycle. 1 randomly shows for put/drop/stow/sheath, 1 randomly shows for get/gird/ready.

There are also 4 different kinds of slings: Mental, Sorcery, Elemental, Spiritual

If you have a sling that is keyed to the different type - Analyze will tell you the type - then you will get generic messaging.

ALL other verbs are the SAME for all makes of the sling.

I hope this helps clear it up.

Hey there.

Here's what I can tell you:

Tier 1 PUT/drop/stow/sheath - Always solidly - "You stow your <runestaff> in your <magic sling> with <message>."
Tier 2 put/drop/stow/sheath - 50% chance to be -"You stow your <runestaff> in your <magic sling> with <message>."
OR "A <message> trails your <runestaff> as you stow it in your <magic sling>."

Elemental Slings - THESE WORK ON ATTUNEMENT
Spirit, Mental, Sorcery - Highest Lore Rank
There is a generic.
If there is a tie, then it randomly selects between the highest two.

If you are attuned to fire, but you attune random for -- whatever reason that wizard's do this (never played one) -- then it is your base attunement always.

This collectible reward, a Bag of Holding, is the reward for finding the blood crystal at the Bank Heist! If you complete the base collectible (acquire 12 items from the bank's vault), you'll receive a minor version of this same script, but will be limited to 10 of 1 unique item.

>glance
You glance down to see a large treasure sack clasped by a blood diamond in your right hand and a blue crystal in your left hand.

>put crystal in my sack
You search through your sack and find another pocket containing a blue crystal. You place the items together.

>l in my sack
This treasure sack has multiple pockets and storage units sewn inside. Closer inspection of the pockets reveals the following contents:

(10) a blue crystal
(9) a golden wand
(1) a rat-shaped vial
(1) a long strip of floral printed cotton
(3) a small statue
(5) some pothinir grass
(4) a pair of vaalin buckles
(1) some leaf-embossed leathers

A pocket containing "a blue crystal" currently has your attention. PULL the sack if you want to remove a blue crystal, or TURN the sack to focus your attention on a different item.

>turn my sack
You rummage through your sack and focus your attention on a pocket containing "a golden wand".

>analyze my sack
You analyze your treasure sack and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "There do not seem to be any specific limitations."

The creator has also provided the following information:
This sack is a Bag of Holding (major) reward from the Bank Heist at Duskruin Arena. Items stored inside will count only as one item (the container). The current properties of this sack are as follows:

Unique Item Capacity: 10 items -- carrying 34 total items, 8 unique items
Per-Item Capacity: Up to 10 of the same item
Max Encum of Container: 50 pounds (currently carrying 45 pounds)
Weight Reduction: 0%

Despite any messages below, this item cannot be lightened or deepened.

USAGE: DROP/PUT, POKE, PULL (to remove focused item), PUSH, RAISE, RUB, TOUCH, TURN (to set focus on an item to remove).

Important Note: GET will not work with this container.

You get no sense of whether or not the sack may be further lightened.

While the initial treasure sack is held-only, you can speak to the ringleader and ask him about wearable.

Also during your adventures in the Sewers, you may find "expanders". These items will work with the epic Bag of Holding and can be used to upgrade its default limits as follows:

a material swatch - this will increase the unique item capacity, up to 100.
a slender wooden rod - this will increase the per-item capacity, up to 100.
a handful of sparkling dust - this will increase the max encumbrance of the container, up to 200.
a strand of veniom thread - this will provide weight reduction up to 100%.

There are some items that will not be able to be stored in these containers. For instance, cursed items, containers that have items inside, items with special scripts that specifically handle things like GET and PUT, Wavedancer Journals and/or other similar items, will all be ineligible for storage in this container.

In order for items to be stacked, they must be exactly the same.

These containers, both the base and epic versions, are not attuned. There is no limit to how many you can have. The containers will register as ONE item when you store it in your locker despite the number of items it is actually "holding".

You can now store both 1) bag of holding expanders, and 2) Duskruin Bag of Holding collectible pieces inside the Bag of Holding. I also made a minor update to a specific situation that may or may not affect an item that was previously blocked. However...

If you find items that will not stack inside the bag, please post them on this thread. Let me know 1) what the item is, 2) where you received the item, and 3) the error message you receive when you try to place the item inside the bag. (Side note: I am aware of the gem-stacking issue; for now, the gem jars are the best option for gem storage.)

Just like the L/D notes, the restrictions are wide until I can evaluate whether or not allowing them will break something. And if not, I can add exclusions to allow them.

Heraldic Standard

Category: Paid Events: Adventures, Quests, and SimuCoins
Topic: Duskruin Arena
Message #: 9068
Author: GS4-MODRIAN
Date: 6/12/2018
Subject: Heraldic Standard Teaser

An heraldic standard can inspire the members of the user's group once per day, When waved, it provides them with a 1-hour period of +5 general attack strength and increased mana and stamina recovery during which one to three points of each are restored per minute (determined by the Influence and Aura of the user). This effect doesn't stack and will not be refreshed or changed by the effect of a second standard.

The standard can also rally fallen group members once per day. When raised, it gives them a chance (based on the Influence and Aura of the user) to stand if prone, sitting or kneeling, even if they are incapacitated. The user is excluded from this benefit.

The standard is blank when first obtained. The user must apply an emblem to it before it can used. This is done by waving it at something (besides people). This can be done only once, but it can be altered by a merchant.

When the mana/stamina recovery effect is invoked, the user will automatically make an exclamation. If there is no custom exclamation, the default will be used, which is:

"In the name of the [EMBLEM] and to the everlasting glory of all ye followers!"

This feature can be muted, and the exclamation can be changed by an alterer.

A standard can be furled or unfurled. It cannot be activated when furled.

Finally, a standard can be attached to a polearm or a back-worn container, but it only activates its features when it is unattached and in-hand.

PULL: Removes the standard when it is attached to an item.
PUT ON: Attaches the standard to a polearm or back-worn container.
RAISE: Activates the rally effect.
ROLL: Furls/unfurls the standard.
RUB: Fluff: “You run a hand over the standard in a quick inspection.”
SALUTE: Fluff: "You hold the standard high and honor it with a salute."
TURN: Toggles muting of the exclamation when the morale effects are activated.
WAVE: Activates the morale effects, and it has a one-time use of applying an emblem to the standard.

Thank you, all ye forum followers.

>What sort of price would one of these be running?

The standard is a pretty high-end item, perhaps in the 200k bloodscrip range.

>"general attack strength" == melee, ranged, thrown, bolt/ball... Warding spells?

The +5 general attack strength bonus applies to physical and magical attacks but excludes missile and thrown weapon combat, nor does it apply to warding spells.

>Not attachable to runestaves? They seem like they'd be easier than a weapon with some kind of bulky head to attach onto.

>Any chance of extending the attachment possibilities to include runestaff & quarterstaff, since they are pretty much by definition "just a stick of wood" (onto which you could staple a banner)?

Extending it to runestaffs and quarter staffs is under consideration.

>Is the 1x per day tracked per the item usage or per player usage of the bonus, or both. IE. could I get one for myself and one for my alt account. Activate one, wait the 1 hour, then activate the other on the 2nd character/account for a total of 2 hours bonus?

>From the wording, I would expect that a given character is welcome to benefit from as many activations as s/he can stumble upon. But any given particular banner, is only going to have one activation (per 24-hour stretch) permitted.

The 1x/day is based on the item only. If you had two of them, you could use the second immediately after the first wears off. There's no stacking of the bonus.

>Will the standards be in the HESS or flat prices elsewhere, also do they work for ranged and bolt AS?

As far as I know, it's HESS only. The attack strength bonus applies to magical attacks but excludes missile combat.

Hello!

Here's a spoiler for you guys:

analyze my monocle
You analyze your silver monocle and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
A sterling silver monocle is a religious item that is designed to allow the wearer to gaze at another person and discern the pantheon of that person's deity.
This ability can be blocked by unpresence. If not done while hidden or invisible, then the person that is gazed at will see a reflection of their deities symbol in the monocle's lens.

USAGE: GAZE MY {MONOCLE}} [AT {PLAYER}]

Additional USAGE: Exhale, Remove, Rub, Touch, Turn, and Wear

Turning the monocle allows it to be toggled to become hidden in your inventory and show up in your unique feature line. If it is not toggled, then it will show normally in the inventory line.
Currently, the monocle is toggled to be hidden and will give a unique feature line of: She has a sterling silver monocle fitted over her right eye.
This monocle may be altered freely provided it stays with the noun of monocle, has a lens and metal frame.

Discuss!

Hey there, gang.

There's been some speculation in Discord and so I thought I'd post some stuff....

This is the 1st person messaging if the person using it has 20 ranks of religion lore or more:

1st Person - You gaze through your silver monocle at Thandiwe, your eyes roving over every inch of her natural aura. As the crystalline lens falls upon the space above her left shoulder, you notice a thin skin of stone solidify and dampen the light as it travels over her head from left shoulder to right.

2nd Person - NotThandiwe gazes through the crystalline lens of her monocle, her eyes roving over every inch of you. Her gaze falls upon your left shoulder, and you notice a thin skin of stone reflected in their depths.

3rd Person does not see anything to do with the deity.

If you have less than 20 ranks, then it gives Pantheon information only. In essence, the monocle can read your religous-based aura. Demeanor will not block a gaze. However, unpresence will.
