Subject: Earl Jovery's Arrival
Word has reached town that the Northern Sentinel, Earl Jovery of Hendor is expected to arrive in Wehnimer's Landing late tomorrow night, on the eve of Tilamaires, the 14th of Koaratos. The Earl and much of his retinue will be housed inside the Hendoran Outpost and pavilions outside of it, while a number of soldiers will also find lodging among the inns of Wehnimer's Landing. The Earl is expected to tour the recently constructed outpost and personally arrange for the transport of the imperial prisoner, Drangell. If timing permits, on both evenings of the 14th and 15th of Koaratos, the Earl is expected to reach out to many imperial knights and citizens in the area, along with the Mayor of Wehnimer's Landing, to provide a selective audience with them.

In addition, late on the Eve of the Huntress, the 17th of Koaratos, the Earl will hold a ceremony in the Outer Courtyard of the Hendoran Outpost, which will be made accessible to all who wish to attend. It is said that during the ceremony, the Earl is expected to make a number of important announcements, followed by a general session of addressing questions from those gathered. During the general audience with Earl Jovery, those in attendance will be expected to demonstrate the utmost manners when speaking both to the Earl, and to any others present. There will be absolutely no tolerance for disruptive behavior within the Outpost.

Because of the arrival of the Northern Sentinel, the militia of Wehnimer's Landing has undergone extra drills to be prepared for the heightened need of security in the area.

The news of the Earl's arrival brought a mixture of responses from some townspeople. A local blacksmith was quite pleased, "I think it's nice the ol' Earl is coming. Maybe he can see we aren't so bad after all. I ain't goin', but that's because I ain't so good, hah. But I do welcome the business, I'm sure the town does too!"

Another townsperson who would not identify themselves said, "I just wish the Hendoran outpost had wheels. So the Earl and his imperial dogs could drag it back home with them."

OOC Note:

Hopefully most people know by now, I usually do stuff late in the evening. Same for this week, sorry. Drink coffee? Buy deeds? :)

Earl Jovery is showing up on Tues night. If timing works out, he's going to hold a private session with a few selective people (aka, imperial loyalists) and the Landing Mayor. I'll probably do the same on Wed night, if I can't pull everyone into the same meeting the first night. Then on Fri night, the 17th, big ceremony, some big things, and then a open-to-everyone session with the Earl. There will be a list for people to sign up and ask questions of the Earl. But let it be known, this is an RP event with a highly influential Earl of the Turamzzyrian Empire. I know characters have to be themselves, just don't take it personal if said behavior gets you tossed out, hehe. Also, those who are "branded", will still be allowed inside of the Outpost. The banishment is within imperial borders, which Wehnimer's is not at this time.

Let's have some political fun!
