As said with the last vignette, I spent a fair bit of time thinking about what sudden, untrained mentalism would have done to Evrali and its longer term effects, especially given that she still does not want it. This takes place about two years after the Wihliam of Oire / Echoes storyline. Several Solhaven residents and a couple Landing ones may recognize their characters below.

Evrali, Late Koaroatos 5120

She sat on the ground, tucking her legs under herself, and closed her eyes. Carefully, slowly dissolving the barriers she had so painstakingly developed, she let go of everything around herself. Finding Kit and Isobel was too easy; their barely checked predator personalities were too familiar. The next one even more familiar, his presence like sitting in the shade of a sprawling tree.
Cautiously holding back to minimize contact, she reached further and brushed against the eager, sunny happiness of one woman and the icy fire of another. Next, an abrasive spikiness, followed by a jarringly clouded mind and an aloof, noncommittal nature. She shied away from the other empaths, optimistically pursuing further thoughts to the north instead. Perhaps if she could keep control, she could be around other people again. A cool, dark presence cloaked in graciousness and then a warm, friendly one that drew her in, further and faster than she could control.
Amid a shock of pain and blood the other had welcomed, she collapsed, no longer conscious as she met the forest floor.
