Kai's Strike is not conferred on equipment or weapons used in conjunction with unarmed combat. The properties/special effects of any worn or held item will not activate without a conventional bless ([[Symbol of Blessing]], [[Bless Item (304)]], [[Pure potion]] etc). Step 8

Kai's Strike is obtained at the eighth step of the Order of Voln. It enables unarmed combat attacks to damage undead creatures without the normal requirement of blessed gear (hands and feet are perma-blessed). Unlike other symbols, this is a passive ability and is automatically granted to all unarmed combat attacks without requiring favor.

Equipment and Weapons

Kai's Strike is not conferred on equipment or weapons used in conjunction with unarmed combat. The properties/special effects of any worn or held item will not activate without a conventional bless (Symbol of Blessing, Bless Item (304), Pure potion etc). However, holding an unblessed item will never nullify the ability to attack undead with Jab, Punch, Grapple or Kick attacks.
