Summary

 • Councilman Cordarius comes to Moot Hall to announce that the Town Council has conferred, Judge Renpaw weighed in, and Vlashandra and he (Cordarius) have made their recommendations known. As such, there are two decisions regarding Pylasar's trial.
 • First, the powers that be within Wehnimer's Landing have ruled him innocent of the crimes he's been accused of.
 • Captain Stormyrain notes that's within the Landing, and Cordarius says that's correct; it was always intended that a second trial could be required within the Empire depending on how things proceeded.
 • Vlashandra, at Grand Magister Octaven's request, recommended further trial, but the approval of such rested solely on Cordarius. Having considered the testimony and facts, and as the Regional Envoy who seeks strong ties with the town, he rejected any trial in an imperial court. He says it's logical that a decision of a protectorate of the Empire should be respected and no further action necessary.
 • Cordarius says he has a favor to ask. Octaven will not be pleased with him or Vlashandra. She did as she was told and he's been in her shoes, and he hints at what she's about to endure...
 • Madmountan says Cordarius has already seen that the townspeople are willing to kill Octaven's familiar, so he's sure a favor can be arranged. Cordarius says he didn't ask for harm to anyone.
 • Mayor Leafiara, Alisette, and Faerinn ask, then, if Cordarius wants us to harbor Vlashandra for her protection, granting her asylum. He says no, and he'd hope there's no concern for her life since we're not all barbarians. He just mean that sometimes we find ourselves in situations that create conflict, but when they're over, we should be kind. He saw to it that Vlashandra failed, and the coming days and nights will not be kind to her, so consider that.
 • Lylia says she is welcome to visit the Faendryl Enclave's grounds and their gardens are a restful place. Guarrin says he's curious how Cordarius was able to "pull that off." Zosopage says in retrospect, it was Vlashandra's job to try to win her case. Leafi notes she's said from the beginning that her question dodging was probably constraints from Octaven; Cordarius says dodging questions is a six-class course in the Hall.
 • Cordarius asks if it's good news and various people affirm that it is; Leafi says he's exceeding expectations and he says he always does. She teases that he's not quite her type.
 • Cordarius notes to Captain Shinann that she'd asked about Marshal Thadston; he says he tried to give him the news, but he was "caught in what I could only describe as an argument with himself," so he didn't bother him.
 • Chamorr asks what made them figure Cordarius was innocent. Cordarius says Pylasar's guilty of many of the things he's accused of, and "half of you are worse." He says Pylasar lost a lot and one would think that is punishment enough.
 • Cordarius wishes everyone a good night and briefly attempts to flirt with Leafi, saying he's not her type yet, before leaving.

Awaiting Annoucement

[Hidden Plateau]

A dull stone fountain rests near the base of the chipped marble staircase that leads into the palace ruins. Scattered cobblestones circle around the fountain and head away to the west, hinting at a long overgrown road. Also here: the body of Sincerae who is lying down

A town crier shouts, "The verdict in Pylasar's trial shall be announced shortly outside of Moot Hall!"

[Town Square, East] Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a tiny pocket mouse and a large purple wooden barrel.

Also here: Mayor Leafiara, the body of Sincerae who is lying down, Fortequin, Zaloranch, Felita, Lady Sochestie, Hapenlok, Faerinn, High Lord Asben, Arianiss, Lady Erienne, Krampton, Shinann, Yukito, Guarrin

From nearby, you hear Pukk yell, "Join Cryheart!"

Sir Cryheart's group just arrived.

Pukk yells, "Join Cryheart!"

Roelon removes a wide flagon of blueberry ale from in his black woolen kilt.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah might need this..."

Hapenlok says, "I mean, I have to be honest, I don't think that Pylasar really cared much for judgements against him, either way."

Speaking wryly to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "Gonna matter even less when he's not here."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok asks, "You're not singing that song of power, are ya?"

Roelon deeply says, "Atleast ye got the coin for the towers."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok says, "There's some people I want to see explode, but you're not one of them. I'm about to focus some mana."

Arianiss asks, "Anyone want to place a bet on the result?"

Speaking to Arianiss, Leafiara admits, "I've learned not to predict much around here."

Faerinn says, "Not guilty and then Vlashandra attempts martial law."

Chandrellia softly says, "If she does I'll shoot her with my cannon."

Chandrellia taps a silver-accented white monir water cannon, which is in her right hand.

Cordarius: "I will be along shortly."

Roelon removes a painted red wooden sign that reads, "RESIST!" from in his ebon leather cloak.

Speaking softly to herself, Chandrellia says, "May just do it anyways."

Roelon deeply says, "Either way."

Leafiara: "Excellent. We're gathered and awaiting."

Speaking to Lylia, Faerinn says, "The epilogue comes to our two nights of mummery."

Innocent or Guilty?

Magister Cordarius just arrived.

Speaking surprisedly to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "That *is* shortly."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alisette says, "I hope it all works out."

Leafiara flashes a quick grin at Cordarius.

In a dramatic display, Hapenlok waves his paddle in Cordarius's face and you watch as the attached ball hurtles towards him. The violet ball smacks Cordarius right in the nose, and seems to stay there for several seconds before falling away to dangle limply from its string.

A dusky sewer rat scurries into the room.

A buck-toothed brown rat scurries into the room.

A flea-ridden sewer rat scurries into the room.

Cordarius grins.

A pained expression crosses Hapenlok's face.

An oily sewer rat scurries into the room.

A short-tailed black rat scurries into the room.

A burly river rat scurries into the room.

A dirty black rat scurries into the room.

A tiny brown rat scurries into the room.

A streaked black rat scurries into the room.

A short-tailed ship rat scurries into the room.

Stormyrain glances down.

Cordarius says, "I know it's late, I didn't want to keep anyone out too long."

Speaking to Cordarius, Hapenlok says, "Sorry, not sorry."

Stormyrain raises her eyebrow, the dark bloodjewel half-ring set within only enhancing her skeptical expression.

Leafiara nods understandingly at Cordarius.

Cordarius says, "I'm exhausted myself."

Cordarius yawns.

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "We could always sic Guts' army of rats on her."

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk exclaims, "Sure sure!"

Speaking heartily to a short-tailed ship rat, Dwi says, "Does look a lil like Meggs."

Speaking to Cordarius, Faerinn asks, "Vlashandra not bothering with this part?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Leafiara acknowledges, "I'm sure many were very exhausted after the trial days too."

Cordarius says, "The Town Council has conferred, Judge Renpaw weighed in, and Vlashandra and I have made our recommendations known."

Alisette says, "Ha."

Speaking to Cordarius, Faerinn says, "Though I suppose she is busy packing. I'm sure she doesn't want to keep Octaven waiting too long."

Pukk asks, "Renpaw?"

Cordarius says, "There are two decisions to announce."

Erienne asks, "What?"

Leafiara amiably says, "So a thoroughly discussed verdict, at least."

Speaking to Erienne, Pietra asks, "Was that absolutely necessary?"

Roelon deeply asks, "Two eh?"

Speaking to Pietra, Erienne says, "Yes."

Lylia says, "Two? Interesting."

Faerinn says, "It would certainly be a shame if Octaven replaced her."

Speaking to Faerinn, Leafiara whispers aloud, "Here it comes."

Dwi heartily says, "Dey prolley decide to not decide..dat counts double in gubmint."

Xanthium gives a sidelong glance at Xorus.

Erienne ponders.

Shinann nods at Stormyrain.

Stormyrain asks, "..what about those outside of it?"

Leafiara nods in agreement at Pukk.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah noticed that."

Roelon grins.

Stormyrain raises her eyebrow, the dark bloodjewel half-ring set within only enhancing her skeptical expression.

Shinann seems to be waiting for something.

Further Imperial Trials?

Cordarius says, "Correct. Now, the second piece."

Lazaryth asks, "Curious. Not guilty with extenuating circumstances?"

Dwi seems to be waiting for something.

Speaking to Cordarius, Hapenlok says, "I hear a ....But, attached to that statement."

Roelon deeply asks, "The good before the bad?"

Berost deeply says, "The Hall would like him drawn and quartered."

Lylia corrects, "Not even 'not guilty.' But 'innocent.' How curious."

Cordarius says, "As it was always intended, a second trial could be required within the Empire, depending on how things proceeded of course."

Draccor recites darkly:

"The new mayor made me the constable so I get to decide who gets charged with what"

Leafiara gazes in amusement at her surroundings.

Cordarius says, "Vlashandra, at the request of Octaven, made that her recommendation."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Dwi says, "I aint not guilty...but Imma mosly innocent."

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Draccor asks, "So not official yet?"

Cordarius says, "The approval of such a trial rested solely on me."

Pietra asks, "Not on the judge?" [I presume because it would be outside the Landing and Cordarius is the Regional Envoy]

Faerinn says, "Honestly it would only be just if he was tried in both places....if he was found."

Speaking amusedly to Draccor, Leafiara says, "Would have to run it by the council and I'm pretty sure they'll say no."

Speaking heartily to Draccor, Dwi asks, "So...ye gonna charge yerself wit welchin on bets?"

Cordarius says, "I have considered all testimony, all facts, and as the Regional Envoy of Wehnimer's Landing, who seeks to foster strong ties with this town...."

Speaking darkly to Lylia, Draccor says, "I'm sure you would agree with all my decisions."

Cordarius says, "I have rejected any trial to take place in an imperial court for Pylasar."

Pietra lets out a little squeal of delight.

Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Cordarius.

Razanetika blinks at Cordarius.

Shinann nods at Cordarius.

Roelon blinks.

Dwi grunts, a quizzical look on her face.

Alisette ponders.

Deep in thought, Lylia laces her fingers before her.

Goldstr applauds Cordarius.

Lazaryth flashes a quick grin.

Leafiara approvingly says, "Well, that's good. No point when no one can find him anyway."

Roelon deeply says, "Well, two suprises tonight."

Monthas says, "The protesting worked."

Guarrin raises an eyebrow.

Pukk squints at Cordarius.

Bernadette nods.

Faerinn cringes.

Leafiara nods absently at Monthas.

Shinann says, "Good."

Xorus raises an eyebrow.

Xanthium chuckles to herself.

Bernadette grins at Monthas.

Cryheart nods at Cordarius.

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Okay, what do you want?"

Alisette happily says, "Good to hear."

Alisette nods at Cordarius.

Monthas says, "The rent-A-mob was successful."

Cordarius says, "I think it is logical that Wehnimer's Landing as a protectorate of the Empire should have its decision respected and no further action necessary."

Pietra asks, "Do we get our statue back?"

Roelon deeply says, "Don' waste peoples time or silvers."

Pietra chuckles.

Speaking to Faerinn, Leafiara says, "You made a great case for why it shouldn't happen." [referring to proper trials requiring the accused be present]

Speaking to Cordarius, Arianiss asks, "Is this the part where you reveal yourself to be Pylasar and say, 'It was me!' all along?"

Speaking to Alisette, Leafiara says, "As did you." [was her argument as well]

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Dwi says, "Dat's likka nudder "but"."

Leafiara grins at Alisette.

Leafiara grins at Faerinn.

Dwi smirks.

Speaking to Faerinn, Xanthium asks, "Is Magister Svala here?"

Lylia flashes a quick grin at Pietra.

Alisette blushes a rosy pink shade at Leafiara.

Leafiara winks at Alisette.

Dwi heartily says, "Would if'n dey could."

Roelon leans back.

Felita says, "We has alotta butts."

Ashvin mutters conspiracy.

Speaking to Xanthium, Faerinn says, "Certainly not visible."

Favor Following the Fallout of Falling Out of Favor

Cordarius says, "Now, I have a favor to ask."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alisette says, "Thank you, Ma'am."

Pukk exclaims, "I knew it!"

Pukk exclaims, "I knew there was a catch!"

Razanetika softly says, "And there's the other shoe dropping."

Speaking to Cordarius, Faerinn asks, "Will they respect that descision though?"

Cordarius says, "Octaven will not be pleased. With me. With Vlashandra."

Pietra says, "We don't care about Vlashandra."

Speaking to Cordarius, Pukk asks, "Okay, what's this favor?"

Speaking to Faerinn, Xanthium says, "Here come the fireballs."

Speaking slowly to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Yeah, no doubt..."

Roelon deeply asks, "Want some protection?"

Cordarius says, "Vlashandra did as she was told. I have been in her shoes."

Cordarius says, "What she is about to endure soon..."

Speaking to Cordarius, Madmountan says, "I mean, you've seen that the townspeople are already willing to brazenly kill Octaven's familiar in effigy, so I'm sure a favor can be arranged."

Dwi heartily says, "Shouldnt borrow folks shoes."

Lylia says, "Yes. Sometimes one does as one must, even when it is distasteful."

Cordarius shakes his head.

Pukk says, "Shoes are nothing. Try a dress then get back to us."

The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Wearin wimunz shoes must not be fun."

Ashvin says, "Even tight strings go limp on the best puppets."

Pietra asks, "Was she told to use Raelee's face?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Zosopage asks, "Will there be an internal inquiry to root out any possible traitors in the hall?"

Pietra says, "Probably not."

Speaking to Cordarius, Faerinn asks, "Even the wearing a coworker's face in the bedroom as well as work part?"

Alisette hesitantly says, "She was pretty of her own mind here in the Landing."

Cordarius says, "I did not ask for any harm to anyone."

Cordarius nods at Madmountan.

Madmountan grins at Cordarius.

Madmountan says, "Yet."

Speaking curiously to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Protection for Vlashandra then? I'm wondering where this is going."

Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.

Monthas says, "It's going slowly."

Madmountan says, "A good defense, is often a good offense."

Speaking to Cordarius, Goldstr asks, "Is da Hall gonna look into Octaven's actions?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Alisette asks, "You wish for us to harbor her?"

Speaking darkly to Roblar, Draccor exclaims, "You better obey my authority!"

Faerinn asks, "Formal asylum for her?"

Cordarius says, "Protection? Surely I'd hope there's no concern for her life. My goodness, we're not all barbarians."

Pietra asks, "Can we just skin her instead?"

Erienne whispers something to Draccor.

Cordarius says, "I just mean.."

Xanthium says, "...well."

Leafiara wryly says, "Well, never know."

Alisette says, "We are not, the Hall....."

Roelon deeply says, "Anger brings out the best..."

Bernadette softly says, "Course not."

Xanthium says, "We're not citizens of the Empire, most of us."

Speaking to Tsarok, Pietra asks, "Did I say that out loud?"

Speaking deeply to Cordarius, Berost says, "No, not barbarians, yer mages. Much worse."

Speaking to Cordarius, Faerinn says, "I think we mean protection from the Hall."

Cordarius says, "Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that create conflict, but when that is over, sometimes we should be kind."

Roelon deeply says, "And ah am sure someone out there is rather furious."

Speaking quietly to Pietra, Tsarok says, "Sure did."

Draccor darkly asks, "What you don't trust yer new constable?"

Speaking distantly to Cordarius, Hapenlok says, "I sometimes wonder though. With some of the visiting Magisters we've been plagued with over the years."

Xanthium says, "So technically we are not all barbarians, no. Just most of us."

Monthas asks, "Soo, umm, you want us to be kind?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Alisette asks, "Did you mention kindness to Vlashandra?"

Leafiara curiously says, "Oh, you're just asking that we let slide what some have seen as a rough start."

Speaking deeply to Draccor, Roblar asks, "Eh?"

Cordarius says, "Vlashandra failed, and I saw to that."

Monthas says, "In between murdering thousands of orcs, giants, kobolds, goblins, gnolls."

Cordarius says, "The coming days and nights will not be kind to her."

Cordarius says, "So just, consider that. That's all I ask."

Pietra says, "Awww."

Pietra clasps her hand over her mouth.

Alisette says, "She will have to get a new face."

Speaking offhandedly to Cordarius, Lylia remarks, "I have no ties to the Hall of Mages or to any Imperial organization. If she would like to visit the Faendryl Enclave's grounds, she is more than welcome to do so. Our gardens are a restful place."

Speaking darkly to Roblar, Draccor asks, "So you don't trust me?"

The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly says, "I kin comfort her....hehe."

Cordarius nods at Lylia.

Speaking to Cordarius, Guarrin says, "I'm curious how you were able to pull that off."

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok adds, "And meteor free."

Cordarius asks, "Pull what off?"

Zosopage says, "In retrospect, it was her job to as a 'prosecutor' to try to win her case."

Speaking to Faerinn, Lylia says, "You would, I am sure, not be disturbed in the gardens."

Cordarius nods at Zosopage.

Cordarius takes a bite of his green apple.

Alisette says, "I can be nice."

Faerinn says, "Having a roomie could be fun."

Leafiara amiably says, "Well, sounds good. I've said since the beginning that even things like her question dodging were probably her just being constrained by Octaven."

Cordarius peers quizzically at Guarrin.

Cordarius says, "Dodging questions is a six-class course in the Hall."

Cordarius chuckles.

Leafiara grins wryly at Cordarius.

Alisette warmly says, "Maybe she will stay in the gardens a bit."

Speaking to Cordarius, Faerinn asks, "What of your hide? How difficult will Octaven be making your days and nights?"

Lylia says, "I took it in as mother's milk. I never needed classes."

Chamorr heartily says, "What's wrong with the outpost."

Speaking to Lylia, Alisette says, "Aye, I would agree with that."

Speaking offhandedly to Chamorr, Leafiara muses, "Octaven."

Speaking in Guildspeak, Dwi heartily says something you don't understand.

Cordarius asks, "But this is good news, yes?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Goldstr says, "Aye Sir it be."

Speaking to Cordarius, Alisette asks, "Will you be okay? No repercussions?"

Zosopage says, "Cautiously good."

Cordarius says, "I always do."

Cordarius winks at Leafiara.

Speaking neutrally to Cordarius, Hapenlok says, "It usually starts as good news, but then it just winds up being a pain for us anyway."

Cordarius says, "If you know what I mean."

Lylia diplomatically says, "I am not certain the outpost would be a comfortable place for her. Sometimes people need more space and time to lick their wounds or mend."

Speaking lightly to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Not my type, so I'll take your word."

Leafiara flashes a quick grin.

Lylia says, "It is certainly news, yes."

Cordarius says, "I could be."

Cordarius shrugs.

Speaking amusedly to Cordarius, Leafiara says, "Not quite."

Speaking to Cordarius, Pietra asks, "So what now?"

Xanthium says, "They're just tools."

A large dark blue steel golem wanders in.

Speaking to Xanthium, Pietra says, "Large, blunt tools."

Alisette roars at a large dark blue steel golem, who gives a small start.

Leafiara acknowledges, "People have been wondering why they're still marching around town, though."

Speaking to Xanthium, Faerinn says, "Made in their creators' image."

Speaking heartily to Alisette, Dwi says, "Dat's a start."

Leafiara glances appraisingly at a large dark blue steel golem.

Speaking to Pietra, Xanthium says, "We have people standing right here who could turn everyone in town inside out with a few waved fingers."

Cordarius says, "Well, that's all I've got tonight."

Leafiara nonchalantly says, "Ah well... they're not harming anyone, so it's not too bad."

Shinann nods at Cordarius.

Xorus asks, "What?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Hapenlok says, "You know, Envoy, I think in the future, it may suit us and the Hall, if you recommended that Wehnimer's Landing cease being a vacation destination for visiting Magisters."

Cordarius says, "I did try to give him the news as well, but he was caught in what I could only describe as an argument with himself."

Cordarius says, "So I hadn't thought to bother him."

Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr asks, "What made ya figure he was innocent?"

Speaking to Xorus, Xanthium says, "Just commenting on your...potential."

Shinann gives a sidelong glance at Stormyrain.

Shinann nods at Cordarius.

Cordarius asks, "Pylasar?"

Cordarius peers quizzically at Chamorr.

Dwi heartily says, "Frooty assa looncake ...dat's harder to proof."

A large dark blue steel golem wanders in.

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Well, this verdict proved something, Leafi."

Cordarius says, "Pylasar's guilty of many of the things he's accused of."

Cordarius says, "Half of you are worse."

Cordarius chuckles.

Speaking curiously to Hapenlok, Leafiara asks, "Proved a lot of things, but which one are you thinking of?"

Lylia simply says, "Yes."

Draccor darkly asks, "Half of who?"

Speaking to Cordarius, Chaoswynd asks, "Only half?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "That I can be wrong on rare occasions."

Xorus says, "That is an understatement."

Speaking to Draccor, Pietra says, "You."

Pukk says, "Just the top half."

Chamorr heartily says, "'First and foremost, I am pleased to announce that the powers at be within Wehnimer's Landing have ruled Pylasar innocent of the crimes he's been accused of!'"

Cordarius says, "Pylasar lost a lot. I can't imagine."

Cordarius says, "One would think that is punishment enough."

Felita says, "Was an accident I swear."

Speaking heartily to Cordarius, Chamorr says, "Ya said he was."

Lylia says, "That depends on whether courts seek justice or mercy."

Leafiara adds, "And he's lost in time anyway. It might be impossible to find him for centuries, for all we know."

Xanthium says, "He lost a lot, yes. He also made choices."

Speaking to Felita, Pukk says, "Yep, they heard about all those people you killed in the east tower."

Speaking to Felita, Pukk says, "You're guilty."

Hapenlok says, "Well, I remind you all, in the eyes of the law here, he's innocent."

Draccor darkly says, "I create the bodies, I don't erase the bodies."

Lylia says, "Or whether it is even merciful to declare him not guilty of the things he himself carries as a burden."

Hapenlok says, "But with certain people, and I'm not saying this is me, but he's guilty."

Faerinn says, "Please do something about the rats."

Felita says, "Ise paid my doos."

Hapenlok says, "Some people may try to find justice in their own hands."

Faerinn says, "Oh, the golem left again."

Cordarius exclaims, "Well, goodnight everyone!"

Draccor darkly asks, "You mean Lylia isn't a rat?"

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara offers, "I mean, I've seen Pylasar turn into a grub and get squashed and survive, so I'm sure he'll be safe if he returns."

Bernadette softly says, "Nite."

Alisette says, "Night."

Speaking to Chamorr, Zosopage says, "He was ruled innocent but that doesn't mean he didn't do the things he was accused of. More like he was forgiven in a way."

Speaking softly to Cordarius, Chandrellia says, "Night."

Cryheart says, "Thanks for the info."

Cordarius leans in closer to Leafiara, "I may not be your type. Yet. Just wait."

Lylia says, "Then that is the town's constabulary's job to prevent."

Cordarius snickers to himself.

Leafiara can offers Cordarius only a blank expression.

Leafiara chuckles.

Cordarius waves.

Magister Cordarius just went north.

Discussion Afterward

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "No, you know exactly who I'm speaking about."

Xorus says, "Astonishing."

Pietra says, "Well that was a fun verdict."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Am I your type?"

The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Cordarius a bigger perv den me."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "And he's going to get very, very angry when he learns about what was announced here."

Lazaryth asks, "Anyone taking bets on whether Leafi will convert?"

Speaking tentatively to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "I actually don't."

Speaking amusedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "You're a lot closer to it than Cordarius at least."

Pukk gives Leafara a warm buss on the lips.

Leafiara winks at Pukk.

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Draccor says, "Hapenlok means me."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "...go home you're drunk."

Speaking to Faerinn, Xanthium says, "Odd tidings."

Pukk beams!

Lifting his hands above his head, Pukk claps in a steady rhythm and dances about.

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Falvicar."

Draccor darkly says, "Nahh it's me."

Speaking to a brindled black-and-brown snowcat, Faerinn says, "Eat the rats."

Speaking distractedly to Draccor, Hapenlok says, "Oh, it's the other dead guy."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Goldstr says, "He an Lady Svala will nae be happy wid dis."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "Oh, Falvicar."

Speaking distractedly to Draccor, Hapenlok says, "Hi Draccor."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "His threats against Pylasar will be about as effective as his threats against Regwen. We'll see to it."

Chamorr heartily asks, "So Pylasar is innocent and we has another refugee from the Hall to watch over, is that right?" [I'm unclear on whether on whether we currently have a refugee, but we might at some point]

Speaking softly to Chamorr, Chandrellia says, "Looks that way."

Guarrin says, "Seems about right."

Goldstr says, "Seems so Bear."

Draccor darkly says, "Easy there Hapen."

Lylia says, "He has been found not guilty by the court, yes."

Roelon deeply asks, "Ye think the Hall would let this go?"

Draccor darkly says, "No need to bite the hand that feeds."

Chamorr heartily says, "Dang."

Speaking to Roelon, Leafiara acknowledges, "This has seemed a bit--smoother than expected."

Hapenlok says, "Honestly, if it comes to it. If they want him to stand trial in Tamzyrr, he will."

Dwi heartily says, "Loony folks always find a place here abouts....so..."

Speaking to Roelon, Lylia says, "Now it becomes a thornier problem for Imperial territories and their jurisdiction."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Almost... too smooth if you ask me."

Hapenlok says, "I spent a lot of years dodging bounty hunters to know, they'll try."

Speaking deeply to Leafiara, Roelon says, "Too...easy..."

Leafiara optimistically says, "Maybe Cordarius is a lot better at argumentation behind closed doors than he seems publicly."

Draccor darkly says, "Or does Dwi feed yer hand."

Balley softly says, "We do not know the full picture of this event."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr asks, "When does anything go smooth in the Landing?"

Leafiara hurriedly says, "...please don't read into that."

Hapenlok says, "When I killed Claybourne's man."

Cryheart says, "Good news indeed."

Speaking to Chamorr, Zosopage says, "It is what we wanted."

Speaking heartily to Draccor, Dwi says, "My hand is shy o' yer silbers."

Pukk says, "Well, this was a surprising turn of events."

Yukito frowns.

Xorus says, "Pray that the powers that be in Selanthia, Chastonia, and Honneland do not come to an understanding of this trial and verdict."

Speaking darkly to Dwi, Draccor says, "Well they shall remain shy then."

Goldstr says, "He may be a fair Council member now."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr asks, "This Octaven, she lives at the outpost?"

Speaking to Yukito, Stormyrain says, "You look confused, or perplexed."

Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "As far as I understand."

Speaking to Alisette, Krampton says, "Night night."

Speaking to Xorus, Hapenlok says, "Oh, I'm sure they'll have ample time to digest what has happened here."

Speaking heartily to Draccor, Dwi says, "Ye know how to buy a new nickname."

Yukito looks over at Stormyrain and shakes his head.

Yukito smiles.

Stormyrain says, "Ok good."

Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "Not sure anyone's seen her there physically other than maybe Raelee, though."

Speaking to a dirty black rat, Pukk says, "Okay Lil Pukk. You watch over them tonight."

Dwi heartily exclaims, "Luck all!"

Leafiara notes, "And I don't see her here to confirm."

Speaking darkly to Dwi, Draccor says, "We can always boulder dash whenever you like."

Speaking to Chamorr, Goldstr says, "Stayin at da Outpost but lives at da Hall I believe."

Speaking to a dirty black rat, Pukk asks, "Oh and bite somebody for me will ya?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "I'd like to be the one to break the news to Falvicar, if possible."

Dwi heartily asks, "So da bet is I killa halfalin lass named welcher?"

Speaking earnestly to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "Oh, please do."

Speaking darkly to Dwi, Draccor says, "And no Warclaidh to protect you now."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Suppose I have the best chance of surviving."

From nearby, you hear Pukk yell, "Wrong way!"

Bernadette softly says, "Wot a name to be havin."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "I know he's going to react with violence."

Speaking heartily to Hapenlok, Chamorr says, "You have the best chance of stirring him up."

Shinann asks, "Who would be his target?"

Speaking curiously to Hapenlok, Leafiara suggests, "Tell him inside the gates, then."

Hapenlok says, "And you know me, I do, of course, encourage violence."

Speaking darkly to Hapenlok, Draccor says, "Only violence towards you if yer not careful."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "I don't think it'll make a bit of difference at this point."

Zosopage says, "I'm not surprised he didn't answer my question about an internal inquiry at the Hall."

Speaking heartily to Zosopage, Chamorr says, "That aint gonna happen."

Bernadette softly says, "Mebee he gonna does it onna sly."

Speaking to Zosopage, Hapenlok says, "Look, enough of his order's affairs have been aird in public court."

Speaking to Zosopage, Leafiara muses, "It's a very curious question, isn't it... whether they'll get to that."

Chamorr heartily says, "So weird."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Tell me something."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok asks, "Does the Watcher Hochstib still live?"

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Askin the fox to investigate the henhouse."

Draccor darkly says, "Toss a coin to your witcher."

Zosopage says, "I suppose it was better he didn't answer if it's to be a covert type investigation."

Speaking tentatively to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "I'm not entirely sure who you mean. I don't think I've ever met him."

Xorus says, "The Prelate, Lheren."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Baron Hochstib of Janatalar..."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "Unless you mean the--"

Leafara nods at Xorus. [Lheren was formerly a Watcher, so he was Leafi's first thought when thinking of the title, but she didn't know he was related to Baron Hochstib. In any case, Lheren had moved up the ranks to become a Prelate at very least by the time we last we saw him in 5118. Possibly even earlier at the end of 5116 following the if not as early as the end of 5116.]

Hapenlok says, "He had a son. Who joined the Church of Koar. He's a Watcher."

Leafiara says, "Ahh, yes, Prelate Lheren then."

Hapenlok says, "I guess, you could say he's the equivalent of an Imperial Inquisitor."

Hapenlok says, "For the Church of Koar."

Guarrin asks, "Hochstib did?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Zosopage says, "It's one of those didn't say no so could be a yes."

Speaking to Guarrin, Hapenlok says, "He did. And to be honest, that didn't win the son any consideration from me."

Speaking curiously to Hapenlok, Leafiara asks, "Why do you ask, though?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Well..."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "He hasn't been seen in--I believe over two years."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "I know, that's why I'm wondering if the man's dead."

Leafiara muses, "Showed up right around the time of the first Rone."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara admits, "No idea, to be honest."

Lylia says, "To my knowledge, he is simply going about religious business. The Church of Koar has a great deal of restitution to be made."

Speaking to a massive snowy white tiger, Teana says, "You behave now Fimbul."

Teana says, "The other tiger."

Speaking curiously to Hapenlok, Leafiara asks, "But why are you wondering? Just idle curiosity?"

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "I know, but two things I learned about him, he was good at finding the truth of things."

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "And he wasn't his father."

Lylia says, "He was not one of the Chastonian Koarites, obviously. But people sometimes attribute the misdeeds of one or two among an organization to the entire organization. Or nation, even."

Speaking to Lylia, Hapenlok says, "And honestly, that's the kind of person we need."
