As part of the 20th anniversary of GemStone IV's move to the web, a Giftbox was offered to paying subscribers to commemorate the celebration. The giftbox itself had ties to the translucent glaes spider charm released with the game's migration from AOL to the Web, and resulted in the "release" of the spider held within it. When worn, the magical spider will take up the character's unique feature line.
