Mental Lore, Manipulation involves the mental manipulation of matter, such as telekinetically moving a large boulder that blocks a path, or causing an object to burst into flames.

Manipulation Lore currently plays a role in various Empath Base Spells and Bard Base Spells, and likely in future will play a part in spells in the Major Mental list, Minor Mental list and Savant Base list.

Empath Base

Provides a hitpoint (HP) damage bonus according to seed 1 of the summation chart.
Increases the chance for an instant kill.
Manipulation Lore will provide a TD pushdown for the CS cycles of this attack spell.
Increases the chance for an instant kill.
Increases protection from critical attacks while active.

Bard Base

Ranks in this lore will decrease the minimum endroll threshold required to shatter a target's weapon or shield. The base reduction is 2 with an additional bonus for each rank. There are diminishing returns with increased training.
A single rank in this lore will reduce failure for the song, i.e, reduce the chance for shattering a gem. Additional ranks will further reduce failure, but the exact percentage is unknown.
At 15 ranks of this lore, a focused version of the spell (single target) can be sung for half the mana cost (15 mana). At 30 ranks, the non-focused version of the spell will have the same damage benefit as singing it while playing a one-handed instrument with adept skill. At 45 ranks, the focused version of the spell will have the same damage benefit as singing it while playing a one-handed instrument with adept skill. At 60 ranks, the non-focused version of the spell will have the same damage benefit as singing it while playing a two-handed instrument with adept skill. At 75 ranks, the focused version of the spell will have the same damage benefit as singing it while playing a two-handed instrument with adept skill.

Minor Mental

Increases concussion damage on the target.
Increases subsequent critical damage on the target.
