Synopsis

A reiver named Rheshay arrives in the Lower Dragonsclaw and plants her mithril claidhmore in the ground as a signal. She meets with Landing adventurers in the Lower Dragonsclaw and presents her leader, Warchief Haidan, Son of Hagga, who says they've meddled taking the reivers spoils of war. Councilor Kayse asks Haidan if he knows about the slain shepherds; Haidan says she knows it was them; Kayse asks why since no one has come into the Highlands; Haidan says they've come into the reivers' land and the Landing's. He says the Landing made a bed with krolvin (when it released Tyrrax) and now makes a bed with conquerors.

Irval asks why the people of the Mountain of Melody would risk the Empire's ire and Haidan says they're of the Ember Vale, not the Melody--the Melody reivers are weak and so are the Landing if they don't understand that the reivers are at war with the Empire. He says the Empire will want more and more and the Landing knows it--and the Ember Vale reivers don't trust the Landing after letting Tyrrax go, but don't need to be at war with them if they stand aside instead of bedding with the Empire.

Haidan closes by reiterating that the reivers will take from the Empire until they've taken down their tents and returned south, at which point the war will be over; meanwhile, the Landing need not bleed if they stand away.

Later in the evening, at the barony's camp, people fill in Samfelt about the message Haidan and Rheshay brought. Perigourd and Missoni suggest meeting with Dikirk, from the other group of reivers. Meanwhile, Samfelt lays out a schedule for when he intends to sail to Brisker's Cove to meet Captain Bodohal.

Log

Reivers

A cool, early breeze stirs through the area.

A town guard from a tower outside of the North Gate says, "Keep alert! Saw something in the woods."

High upon the wooded hills looking down over the Lower Dragonsclaw, a humanoid figure appears from the line of oak trees. Much of her features are blurred by the distance alone, but the gleam of her giant sword reflects across her bald scalp as she raises the sword to the sky, then tilts it and plants the blade deep into the earth. She steps away from the sword, but a few feet, and waits.

[the initial logging character is significantly delayed in arriving, so many lines were missed, but picking up from there...]

[Lower Dragonsclaw, Wooded Hills]

Peering downslope between the modwirs, you get a panoramic view of the next valley over to the west, and a glimpse of the Darkstone Bay to the north. The rocky slope is treacherous here though, so you pull your attention away from the land miles away and back to what's under your feet, as you continue along the path. You also see a wooden arrow fletched with gilt-banded feathers, the Kialeigh disk, the Yardie disk, the skull-shaped Irval disk, the green Athinial disk, the crab-shaped Rasson disk, the Laralana disk, the Arahnim disk, the Sonor disk, a massive snowy white tiger, a silver-tipped smoke grey wolf, a tiny angular lilac-point kitten, the faenor Queatus disk inlaid with intersecting bands of jet, a resplendent obsidian black raven, a concerned wasteland spirit that is flying around, a damp yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild reddish-black dog, a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground and a rocky trail.

Also here: Astrilyn, Seaward Gutstorm, Kialeigh, Blade Yardie, Avalera, Xorus, Town Councilor Kiyna, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Dame Evia, Hadya, Commodore Jaysehn, Alosaka, Athinial, Lady Regwen, Laralana, Town Councilor Kayse, Rasson, Sonor, Pukk, Sir Geijon, Irval, Maikoya, Grand Lord Arahnim, Jiarine, Roelon, Sir Cryheart, Queatus, Dendum, Tikba, Missoni, Perigourd, Guardian Rheshay

Irval says, "In case we attacked first. That way her cheif would remain safe and her fulfilling her role as guardian I figure."

Cryheart says, "Aye, dinnae attack unless whoever comes attacks first."

Perigourd says, "I imagine if the intention was to waylay us, the trap would have been sprung when we put up arms."

Rheshay says, "Presenin' to ye our great lead'r, Warchief Haidan, Son o' Hagga."

Speaking to Cryheart, Yardie says, "I'm not fighting them."

>l rhes

You see Guardian Rheshay the Keeper of the Ember Vale.

She appears to be a Reiver.

She is tall. She appears to be of full age. She has dark-rimmed fern green eyes and tanned skin. She has a bald head. She has a broken nose and a few folds of scarred flesh along her left cheek. A black tribal tattoo encircles her right eye and spreads down to her neck.

She is in good shape.

She is wearing a puma tooth talisman, a heavy red and black tartan cloak, a weathered tartan pack, some hide-covered platemail, a bone-fringed faded leather pouch, a massive feather-fringed sheath, some patched puma hide pants, and a pair of heavy hide boots.

Gutstorm surreptitiously slaps a bright pink heart-shaped sign reading "FREE HUGS!" on Rheshay's back.

Speaking drunkenly to Rheshay, Gutstorm slurs, "We no only bring hugsh and peace."

From the edge of the forest, a man walks foward, with brooding moss green eyes and tanned skin. His jet black hair is stained with blood, and a hatchet is held tight in his grip.

Jiarine inquires, "Soon?"

>l haid

You see Warchief Haidan the Son of Hagga.

He appears to be a Reiver.

He is tall. He appears to be very young. He has brooding moss green eyes and tanned skin. He has raggedly cut, thick jet black hair stained with dried blood. He has a square-jawed face, a flaring nose and broad shoulders. He has several ragged scars on the sides of his neck and calloused hands.

He is in good shape.

He is holding a bone-handled dark glaes hatchet in his right hand.

He is wearing a necklace of stained fingerbones, a crystallized krolvin eyeball amulet, a frayed dark green and black tartan cloak, a bone-inlaid weapon harness, a black bear hide-covered breastplate, a black brocade pouch, a pair of grey leather breeches, and some worn dark leather boots.

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd greets, "Hail, Warchief."

Speaking drunkenly to Haidan, Gutstorm slurs, "Yoo Archales brudder?"

Jiarine mutters, "I bet he smells even worse wet."

Rheshay says, "Dey have many chiefs."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna says, "Greetings."

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Speaking to Jiarine, Yardie comments, "And yet, he's more inviting than you are."

Speaking to Yardie, Jiarine says, "Good. I do not preen for your sake."

Haidan says, "Ye took from us."

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse asks, "Took what?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Da roltonsh?"

Pukk asks, "We did?"

Haidan points at Gutstorm.

Whimweaver Leafiara's group just arrived. [OOC note: As implied by the "cool, early breeze" line earlier, this KST night started a few hours earlier than normal. It resulted in disparate groups arriving at different times.]

Speaking to Gutstorm, Pukk asks, "What did you take?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me took one rolton."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me shwear."

Haidan says, "Tha roltons."

Jiarine says, "Of course it would be a conflict over livestock."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "You claim the herd that was taken from Graendlor last eve?"

Chamorr heartily says, "Why we here."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna asks, "The roltons that were being kept in Graendlor Pasture?"

Chamorr heartily says, "We havin a hootenanya."

Speaking to Chamorr, Saraphenia exclaims, "Everyone came to admire me!"

Haidan says, "Spoil o' war it is. Ye have meddl'd."

Leafiara says, "Ah, reiver emissaries, excellent."

Speaking to Chamorr, Evia says, "Property dispute of a livestock nature."

Perigourd says, "I didn't nkow war had been declared."

Perigourd says, "Know, rather."

Haidan peers quizzically at Rheshay.

Haidan asks, "Emisarries?"

Rheshay looks over at Haidan and shakes her head.

Haidan nods.

Speaking to Haidan, Irval asks, "Hostilities will cease with the return of the Rolton herd?"

Leafiara surprisedly says, "Oh, my mistake, I suppose."

Toxyrox asks, "Ennyone sing to that blade yet?"

Rheshay says, "Presenin' to ye our great lead'r, Warchief Haidan, Son o' Hagga."

Rheshay nods.

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "With whom do you consider yourself at war?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Yardie asks, "Wait, you stole roltons?"

Leafiara nods understandingly at Rheshay.

Haidan twists his head slightly, cracking his neck. He looks relieved.

Domshella asks, "Sing to a blad?"

Speaking to Yardie, Leafiara says, "No, I thought they were emissaries because I see a sword planted in the ground."

Anyauma says, "Rolton wrangling."

Kialeigh says, "The roltons got out, we simply retrieved them and delivered them."

Domshella sings:

"To blade"

[General] Gelfander exclaims, "Thank you RYSK for a fun game tonight!"

Kiyna says, "They didn't 'get out'... the fencing was deliberately smashed and the shepherds slain."

Haidan says, "De krol. De Empire."

Chamorr heartily says, "Whose complaining."

Speaking evenly to Haidan, Kayse asks, "The shephards guarding the herd were slaughtered. Would you know anything about that?"

[General] Julenne exclaims, "Thanks for coming out!"

Haidan nods at Kayse.

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "Why war with the empire when they're natural foes of the Krolvin?"

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "Much as yourself."

Kayse corrects, "Shepherds."

Kayse stares upward.

Haidan says, "Dey were slaughter'd. Ye know it was us, ye came and took 'em."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "2 wrong make a right den?"

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse says, "Why though? No one has come into the Highlands."

Haidan says, "Nae, dey have come into our lands."

Haidan says, "Dey have come into yers."

Cryheart asks, "Here?"

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse asks, "Who else besides the two young humans that were killed?"

Domshella sings:

"To claid"

Alosaka flatly asks, "Grandelor Pasture? Your lands?"

Domshella says, "I dont get it."

Leifa complains, "Of course these dimwits wouldn't have it right."

Haidan looks over at Alosaka and shakes his head.

Speaking to Alosaka, Perigourd says, "They're claiming the herd was the spoils of war as they've chosen to recognize the empire as foes at war with them, it seems."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "He's talking about the two settlers killed a little more than a month ago now."

Barnessa just arrived.

Barnessa squints at a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground.

Barnessa just tried to pull a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground.

Alosaka says, "Ah, of course. It's easy to lose track of all the lost settlers."

Rheshay glances at Barnessa.

Barnessa shakes her head.

Rheshay says, "Stop yer touchin'."

Speaking to Barnessa, Toxyrox says, "I dunno if any has tried yet."

Rheshay glances at Barnessa.

Barnessa softly says, "Can't sing to somethin I can't hold..."

Domshella rubs a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground.

Barnessa sings:

"Clad"

Rheshay glances at Domshella.

Barnessa softly says, "Strange."

Tikba politely asks, "If the sheep were returned, what then?"

Haidan says, "Dey will take like dah sheep."

Haidan nods at Rheshay.

Speaking to Tikba, Dendum asks, ""Were these even...empire sheep?"

Kiyna says, "They most certainly will not. Please stop touching the reivers' sword."

Hadya quietly says, "I don't think you should touch that, it is not ours."

Barnessa reaches out and touches a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground.

Speaking to Rheshay, Vaemyr says, "I appoligize some... people have no manners."

Pukk says, "Will you all stop touching Rheshay's weapon."

Speaking to Haidan, Geijon says, "You are making a lot of this guesswork when it can be clearly presented on all behalves."

Speaking softly to Pukk, Barnessa asks, "Who's Rheshay?"

Rheshay growls at Barnessa.

Speaking to Pukk, Domshella says, "Finders keepers."

Speaking to Dendum, Tikba says, "The reivers seem to think they once were."

Barnessa grins at Rheshay.

Cryheart says, "Be polite."

Toxyrox sings cheerfully to a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground:

"Razor sharp claid

What story you tell?

Where you come from?

What the...heck?"

Rheshay growls at Toxyrox.

Evia says, "Or for the.."

Chamorr heartily asks, "Cant have these sheep, they imperial sheep?"

Chamorr heartily asks, "Is that it?"

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "Can there not be peace between the Empire and the Clan? surely they could provide mutual support against the Krolvin as well as trade?"

Kialeigh says, "They did have very pretty coats. Woulda made nice blankets.."

Haidan says, "Ye make a bed wit' da krol, now ye make a bed wit' da conquerors."

Speaking to a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground, Nalver says, "You look like one of the claidhmores that were accidentally sold at Ebons Gate in 5104."

Cryheart says, "We fight the krol."

Domshella just tried to pull a razor-sharp black mithril claidhmore with its blade driven into the ground.

Tikba mildly says, "Not recently."

Irval says, "I only wish to know why the people of the Mountain of Melody, would risk the ire of the empire and the people of landing by ranging so far. Your people 's hate for the Krolvin is absolute at best. I know not why you would risk so much for five rolton.."

Speaking heartily to Haidan, Chamorr says, "Im with you."

Speaking to Cryheart, Vaemyr says, "He refers to Tyrrax."

Roelon deeply says, "Ah sink the Krol."

Julenne softly says, "Ouch."

Missoni mutters, "Some of us would have beheaded him."

Haidan says, "We are nae o' da Melody."

Haidan says, "We are o' da Ember Vale."

Domshella says, "Must be magiced in there, i cant pull it out."

Speaking to Missoni, Yardie says, "There were riots."

Irval squints at Haidan.

Irval says, "Ember vale...I see."

Nalver says, "Ohh."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "Than you've split from the other clan?"

Saraphenia says, "'So it doesn't really seem like much is going on here."

Speaking softly to Rheshay, Barnessa says, "Why ya go around jammin treasures in the ground... temptin us hunters of jewels..."

Julenne softly says, "I am still lookin on who threw that orb at us last night in the Cutlass."

Haidan says, "Dey are weak, ye are tae."

Speaking quietly to Domshella, Hadya says, "Unless you want that reiver there to behead you with it, I suggest you stop."

Speaking to Pukk, Domshella asks, "Where did the bald lady go?"

Irval says, "But yet the same question remains. Why? Why attack? You already killed those who allegedly stole the Rolton. Why Risk more of your people."

Cryheart says, "Barnessa and Domshella, please be polite."

Speaking softly to Cryheart, Barnessa exclaims, "I am being polite!"

Nalver says, "You could cut a trench around the claidhmore with a nice spade mattock and then swing the claidhmore like a maul."

Domshella says, "I am."

Rheshay picks up her claidhmore.

Barnessa softly exclaims, "I just want treasures!"

Rheshay glances at Domshella.

Cryheart says, "Go seek them elsewhere then."

Domshella says, "I can be rude if you like."

Kayse flatly says, "You are being rude."

Cryheart says, "We are having a discussion with these two."

Evia says, "We cannot focus on this with the constant fiddling with the claid, so stop disrupting everyone."

Speaking politely to Domshella, Yardie asks, "I'm sure that can come later. But let's see how we can resolve matters here, through peaceful conversation, yeah?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Well, how we know dey dere sheep, me no shee a brand witta shilly reiver face on it when me brought fluffy home."

Cryheart asks, "So where are these sheep?"

Speaking to Gutstorm, Nalver says, "I have no idea what you said, but I agree."

Irval says, "Ocoma vale."

Speaking to Cryheart, Perigourd says, "The rolton were returned to the pasture last evening."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dey eatin behind da fensh."

Rheshay rushes forward, and pushes Domshella off the hillside.

Cryheart says, "Ok."

Kialeigh says, "Well Slowpoke was still sitting outside the fence like a worthless pile of wool.."

Julenne softly says, "Hmm."

Citan deeply says, "Ooof."

Yardie amusedly says, "And there she goes."

Cryheart says, "That was nay nice as well."

Tikba calmly says, "She lives."

Cryheart says, "Calm down folks."

Pukk says, "That was enjoyable."

Haidan holds his hand up to Rheshay, shaking his head.

Missoni murmurs, "Long way down."

Speaking quietly to Rheshay, Hadya says, "Thank you."

Speaking to Missoni, Yardie says, "Could be a future Landing sporting event."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "Considering those who seek peace to be weak is a mistake."

Speaking to Rheshay, Pukk says, "It's okay. We understand. Sometimes you just have to do it."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "It is often those who know war best that seek peace."

Jiarine asks, "Exactly how much would it cost to replace those rolton and they can go back to their huts?"

Cryheart says, "Ok..back to where we were."

Speaking to Jiarine, Kiyna says, "They're not interested in silvers."

Speaking sadly to Lylia, Gutstorm slurs, "Dey trying toi take Molly back."

Evia says, "They seemed to be valuable in breed and coat."

Speaking to Haidan, Pukk asks, "Would you like to come back to town and we can get you some nice ale or something harder?"

Haidan says, "Da Empire will not find land north o' south of da river."

Cryheart says, "So, the roltons or sheep were returned back to ye."

Alosaka asks, "To clarify... are you saying it was your warriors who slew those shepherds?"

Tikba says, "He has said as much."

Irval says, "He did."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Pukk asks, "Do you have any ale to share with our reiver friends here?"

Citan deeply says, "I do."

Gutstorm offers Haidan a mug of blue Darkstone draught.

Haidan says, "I am not a peacechief. We are at war." [presumed to be a response to Perigourd given the next line, but potentially a response to Alosaka as well]

Haidan declines Gutstorm's offer.

Alosaka asks, "And we are negotiating the return of roltons these murderers stole?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Him not firshty, Pukk."

Haidan says, "If ye do nae und'rstand, it is weakness."

Hadya quietly says, "Oh, I understand."

Cryheart says, "So ye are at war with the Empire."

Speaking to Pukk, Yardie says, "I just wrote them a letter. My brother translated. Left it at Jock's. I know little else."

Leifa grouses, "Folks not taking these very real threats seriously."

Cryheart asks, "Hae ye always been at war?"

Julenne softly asks, "Are ye the one who through an orb in the Cutlass at us?"

Leafiara asks, "So if I'm following this correctly, the matter being considered is handing the roltons over to... what end? Avoiding mass casualties?"

Haidan says, "We battled our enemies. We took da spoils."

Speaking to Leifa, Perigourd says, "On the contrary.. I simply wish a less violent solution."

Speaking to Haidan, Vaemyr asks, "Might I ask why you are at war? I'm curious what they did to bring your ire so, is it only because people come here to settle? or did something else happen?"

Haidan says, "Ye came and stole it back."

Speaking to Julenne, Dendum says, ""Doubtful."

Cryheart says, "Ye killed two settlers."

Speaking to Perigourd, Leifa corrects, "Some folks."

Allegiances

Haidan asks, "Do ye serve both krol and empire?"

Irval says, "But whose to say we didnt battle our enemies and take the spoils then..."

Cryheart says, "Hardly sporting if ye ask me."

Cryheart says, "We dinnae serve the krol."

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia stiffly says something you don't understand.

Rheshay laughs!

Irval asks, "So wouldnt by right of conquest the Rolton belong to us now?"

Cryheart says, "We hae fought the krol like ye."

Speaking to Rheshay, Nalver says, "Good evening."

Rheshay laughs at Cryheart!

Evia says, "A large force of fighters agains a few shepherds is hardly a fair fight."

Haidan nods at Rheshay.

Speaking to Haidan, Alosaka says, "I don't think we have the same understanding of war. Most of us would not consider slaying helpless shepherds and stealing their flocks to be war."

Speaking to Alosaka, Perigourd says, "Quite."

Haidan says, "Ye loos'd tha krolvin warlord."

Haidan says, "Thar blood spill'd is yer blood spill'd."

Kayse corrects, "We negotiated with the warlord so that he can assist us with a worse enemy at a later time."

Lylia dryly observes, "Sometimes warlords serve a purpose instead of simply existing to dull our blades."

Leafiara says, "That would be a lot more poignant a criticism if you had contributed anything at any point in those battles with the krolvin."

Cryheart says, "We hae had many enemies, Warcheif Haidan."

Rheshay whispers something to Haidan.

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Is this an example of a decision that will come back and bite us in the behind that you were talking about?"

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "You were the one talking about it, but yes."

Haidan nods at Rheshay.

Speaking to Haidan, Geijon says, "We don't want any war."

Speaking heartily to Pukk, Chamorr says, "Always."

Haidan says, "War is not always chosen."

Cryheart says, "We dinnae as a rule consider your clan to be our enemies."

Cryheart says, "That is true."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "War was not good for the Clan nearly twenty years ago. Why go back down this path?"

Cryheart says, "We hae been attacked by Talador armies, Jantalar armies."

Haidan says, "Den stay away, tend to yer own business."

Tikba carefully says, "Your quarrel is with the Empire. Not Wehnimer's Landing."

Cryheart says, "The Breganians."

Haidan says, "We do not trus' yer people, ye loos'd the krol."

Speaking to Haidan, Alosaka says, "We cannot allow you to murder innocent settlers."

Speaking quietly to Jaysehn, Hadya says, "Let's go back to killing heretics, at least that is worthwhile."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna says, "The krolvin weren't your business when they were attacking us at the time, I notice. Your people were nowhere to be found."

Cryheart says, "Sometimes deals are made to end wars."

Speaking heartily to Alosaka, Chamorr asks, "Why?"

Pukk asks, "Did the settlers go into their lands at all?"

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse asks, "I am still confused why there was murder last night and roltons stolen. What prompted this? Have settlers been venturing into your land?"

Speaking to Haidan, Irval says, "To be fair, Not all were happy with that decision."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka says, "Because some of us have morals and ethics."

Haidan says, "Dey're numb'rs are not endless. We will leave bones and wood'n walls."

Cryheart says, "Because that is inhumane."

Haidan says, "Dey have come into our lands, and dey will want more an' more an' ye know it."

Speaking to Haidan, Yardie muses, "That's the fear I worried about."

Cryheart says, "You killed two refugee settlers who wandered onto your lands."

Speaking to Haidan, Alosaka asks, "Is that the victory you desire? Will your skalds sing of that glorious war, when Hagga's Son slew the shepherds, and blacksmiths, and women, and children?"

Cryheart says, "They are nae familiar with this area like you two and us."

Speaking to Yardie, Dendum says, ""Recognition is not always fear."

Irval says, "And took Rolton. Relatively domesticated Rolton..."

Evia says, "Questionable..that claim on "your" lands."

Speaking to Haidan, Missoni says, "You could have good neighbors in them, but you chose to strike first against the helpless."

Chamorr heartily says, "If the jurisdiction of the landin ends at the walls, what business is it of the landing."

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse says, "What have they been doing? We only know of two who have ventured into the Highlands to explore and they were killed for it."

Speaking to Dendum, Yardie says, "Perhaps, but I am not wrong in this case."

Speaking to Chamorr, Evia says, "Ask those who died last night, the people of the landing."

Speaking carefully to Haidan, Tikba asks, "Can we trust your reivers not to want more?"

Haidan says, "When dey land is free o' their shadow, mah work is done."

Haidan nods at Tikba.

Pukk asks, "Was there an invasion last night in Landing?"

Cryheart says, "Perhaps if you were to speak with the settlers leader and hae a discussion."

Rheshay leans against her claidhmore.

Speaking to Tikba, Yardie says, "They've mostly stayed to themselves."

Speaking to Pukk, Evia says, "Ocoma Vale area."

Speaking to Pukk, Tikba says, "There was a cattle raid."

Speaking to Pukk, Kiyna says, "This was the incident with the rolton being discussed."

Lylia asks, "Free of whose shadows? Do you speak of the krolvin? Of the Imperial settlers? Do you intend to make war on everyone?"

Speaking heartily to Evia, Chamorr says, "As long as the landing takes sides with the empire, what do you expect."

Speaking to Pukk, Toxyrox says, "Cutlass got firebombed...killed several in RYSK."

Haidan glances at Rheshay.

Speaking to Toxyrox, Pukk says, "That wasn't them."

Kezoku says, "That was the rooks I hear."

Rheshay whispers something to Haidan.

Haidan nods at Rheshay.

Cryheart says, "Just discuss with the leader of the settlers what ye conisder your lands and such."

Julenne softly says, "Whomever, it was, we still lookin for them."

Speaking to Pukk, Toxyrox says, "We don't know who it was."

Speaking to Chamorr, Evia asks, "Decency, compassion, caring for others?"

Speaking to Toxyrox, Dendum says, "Some of the um...hrmm...shadow walkers in the landing are fighting each other."

Speaking to Kezoku, Pukk corrects, "Remnants."

Cryheart says, "Bargain with them."

Rheshay says, "Many o' you speak too quickly and at once."

Hadya quietly says, "Seems like they are past talking."

Roelon deeply says, "Many voices indeed."

Speaking sadly to Hadya, Perigourd says, "For once, I agree with you."

Rheshay says, "Many chiefs, I told ye."

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Leifa heckles, "Why are we listening to any of this drivel?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "To many."

Speaking quietly to Perigourd, Hadya says, "I promise after a bath, you'll feel better."

Speaking heartily to Evia, Chamorr says, "How bout that towards the reivers."

Speaking to Rheshay, Yardie says, "I'm not fighting reivers...nor am I going to lecture. I've no desire to battle and many feel the same way."

Rheshay nods at Yardie.

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse asks, "Are you responsible for the spiders?"

Haidan says, "Den stand away, return our spoils, and stand away again an' again."

Haidan nods at Yardie.

Geijon whispers something to Perigourd.

Citan deeply asks, "Some may not want to hear this as you say... but do we want an all out war going on right outside landing's gate?"

Cryheart asks, "I thought the sheep were already returned?"

War

Speaking to Haidan, Irval asks, "But aren't they are spoils now? Since we took it from your warriors with our might?"

Tikba mildly says, "The question is whether that war will be outside the gate or inside."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Pukk asks, "Did you return all of the sheep?"

Lylia says, "They were brought to Ocoma Vale last night."

Irval says, "Our."

Kialeigh says, "They already back and feeding happily. I just checked."

Speaking drunkenly to Pukk, Gutstorm slurs, "Me only shtole one."

Speaking evenly to Haidan, Alosaka says, "I don't believe we are going to come to any sort of agreement with you."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna says, "Aye, I would know if those red spiders were your people's doing."

Haidan asks, "Den we are at war?"

Haidan peers quizzically at Irval.

Dendum says, "Think they want them returned...the other way."

Speaking measuredly to Haidan, Kayse says, "Take the damn rolton back, but I want an accord that the violence stops."

Speaking to Haidan, Irval says, "I do not war, but sometimes, as you said, Wars are not chosen. But what would we call it? The Great Rolton war? What a joke we'd be to our elders."

Cryheart says, "Ye need to speak with the mayor and marshal of the Landing first."

Haidan peers quizzically at Irval.

Leafiara suggests, "Maybe this should be a matter for the elected mayor and elected town council instead of just whoever happens to be gathered here at the moment."

Cryheart says, "And the town council."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Why he git da rolton? Me no shee him brand on demsh."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka says, "In fact, we have a quorum of councilors here."

Anyauma says, "I think the wise counselors would agree, a few rolton are worth peace."

Speaking to Leafiara, Lylia asks, "What, and deny people their freedom by not allowing them to speak for themselves in a mindless clamor?"

Haidan asks, "If ye have aid'd in stealin' our spoils, den have ye enter'd war?"

Geijon says, "We should be able to settle this."

Kialeigh says, "We don't even have the roltons to surrender. They've already been returned to the fields."

Cryheart says, "We then hae a discussion before we decide."

Haidan asks, "Do ye bed with the empire as ye do tha krol?"

Speaking heartily to Haidan, Chamorr says, "Im not at war withyou, if ya stand agianst this barony, i stand with you."

Hadya quietly says, "I've seen tribes decimated over less in the Sea of Fire...roltons, a yeirka, goats...."

Evia says, "Take them back, and then what next, more livestock as so called spoils? more property taken as spoils? where does it end."

Tikba amusedly says, "In the Landing we are all allowed to speak our mind, but it does not mean you must listen."

Speaking to Leafiara, Leifa says, "Clearly we are in rapid decline with capable leadership."

Yardie politely says, "I'm going to drink and fish with my brother....wherever he might be. But, a suggestion. May wish to listen to their concerns instead of assauge people about their lands being taken...as their lands are being taken."

Katissa quietly says, "Depends how much they pay, Haidan, and what they desire."

Pukk says, "I agree with Yardie."

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Pukk says, "What is this world coming too."

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse repeats, "Take the rolton back. But we will have an agreement that the violence stops. No. War."

Speaking heartily to Pukk, Chamorr says, "Wait. what."

Speaking to Haidan, Evia asks, "Have you plans of acquiring even more "spoils"?"

Nyaria quietly says, "Was about to say uh oh... that cant be good."

Speaking to Haidan, Geijon says, "I wasn't at your quarrel. We want to avoid more conflict, each side suffers. If we can reach accord, we are willing to honor your requests from th' view I see."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dey aint takin Molly nor Fluffy."

Haidan nods at Evia.

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "You wish a conflict then?"

Lylia asks, "Have we forgotten the 'spoils' are not just a few roltons? That their shepherds were slain?"

Speaking to Haidan, Irval says, "I do not wish War. But I am prepared for it. You saw what we did to Gnul and the stone men. Do you really think you are capable of mustering your people to defeat the likes of those who could do that to them? You can go see his head down by the end in trollfang if you wish. I would rather of us cease all attacks and maybe find a better way forward."

Speaking to Haidan, Evia asks, "At your whim?"

Tikba clarifies, "If the drunk dwarf comes to steal the sheep back, he acts alone."

Speaking to Perigourd, Toxyrox says, "Sounds like it."

Tikba mutters, "He always acts alone."

Chamorr heartily says, "Wow."

Hadya plainly says, "He said he's a warchief. I think this war has already begun."

Speaking quietly to Haidan, Hadya asks, "Am I correct?"

Cryheart asks, "Warchief of one clan?"

Cryheart says, "That dinnae speak for the other clans."

Hadya quietly says, "No, that's true."

Haidan says, "We did not choose da war, but we have it."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "I disagree."

Speaking heartily to Haidan, Chamorr says, "Lets go to Jocks, ill buy the first round."

Evia says, "The rolton are not ours to give."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna says, "You have chosen the war."

Speaking to Haidan, Pukk asks, "How about a good game of roshambo?"

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "I haven't seen the empire marching up the slopes of Luinne Bheinn taking things from the clan."

Haidan says, "Dey have come, wit' der horses, an' der people, an' der tents, an' der weapuns."

Kialeigh says, "Better to offer something else in exchange to appease the masses. We aren't gonna steal the roltons back that we just returned yesterday..."

Speaking to Haidan, Lylia asks, "If you chose violence, you did. Take responsibility for it. Who slew those shepherds?"

Speaking to Haidan, Pukk says, "If you win. You take Irval. If we win. You take Irval."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Shammy if yoo out dere, deez Reiver tryin to shteal da sheep."

Pukk asks, "Deal?"

Kialeigh says, "No."

Kialeigh says, "He's mine and not to be given away."

Haidan squints.

Speaking to Pukk, Irval says, "If you try to sell me into slavery one more time, you and I are gonna have words."

Haidan clenches his jaw.

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Speaking to Irval, Pukk asks, "More than that?"

Rheshay says, "I warn'd ye, many chiefs."

Speaking to Irval, Dendum says, ""He is already having words."

Speaking to Irval, Dendum says, ""He just had many words."

Speaking to Irval, Dendum asks, ""You did not hear all his words?"

Cryheart says, "We hae a different process for declaring war."

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia offhandedly remarks something you don't understand.

Speaking to Pukk, Dendum recommends, "Speak louder."

Katissa quietly says, "You have no desires worth pleasing, I feel."

Cryheart says, "We hae local leaders and council first."

Speaking to Haidan, Evia asks, "Horses, people, tents, weapons...will those also be your spoils then?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Missoni asks something you don't understand.

Vaemyr asks, "If people could hold their tongues for just a moment please?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Toxyrox asks something you don't understand.

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia agrees something you don't understand.

A fat charcoal cat says, "Today they ask for roltons, tomorrow they will ask for more if you give in to their demands."

Haidan nods at Evia.

Speaking to Haidan, Vaemyr asks, "You are at war with the imperials, you do not consider yourselves currently at war with us correct?"

Haidan asks, "Ye serve the empire?"

Anyauma says, "Sounds like the Empire."

Anyauma nods to the charcoal cat.

Haidan asks, "He is at war?"

Haidan points at Irval.

Pukk says, "The reivers only ask for that which was taken."

Irval says, "For Akarti sakes people, Its five ! FIVE! Rolton. Give him back three! TWO will be kept to make up for the loss of the Shepards. Though I feel the families of those shepards are also do restitution."

Lylia counters, "They cannot replace what was taken."

Kayse whispers something to Tikba.

Katissa quietly says, "No, I serve the Rose Moon."

Evia asks, "Where does it stop?"

Speaking slowly to Pukk, Alosaka asks, "What, exactly, was taken from the reivers?"

Evia says, "He just said horses, people, tents, weapons...all spoils."

Speaking reasonably to Lylia, Dendum remarks, "If everyone counts bodies wars or fightes never end."

Speaking to Alosaka, Pukk asks, "Roltons right?"

Vaemyr says, "Forget it, might as well not have elections anymore, you all can spout and argue... if someone needs me I'll be going to get some work done..."

Speaking to Tikba, Kayse says, "I have said it twice."

Evia asks, "Two roltosn are the cost of lives?"

Leafiara says, "At some point I begin to wonder why we have elections if we're just going to come out here and start making decisions on behalf of the town without--"

Leafiara nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Pukk, Alosaka says, "The reivers slew the shepherds and stole the roltons, and we took them back last night."

Kialeigh says, "Seems like we're always at war, just changes daily who with."

Speaking to Haidan, Vaemyr says, "Do what you will."

Town Councilor Vaemyr just went southeast.

Haidan says, "When der las' tent is gone, and dey have return'd south, tha war is ov'r."

Speaking to Alosaka, Toxyrox says, "In my experience, the reivers don't have much inna first place."

Evia whispers something to Lylia.

Pukk says, "The empi...settlers keep pushing onto reiver land. They had a right to protect what was theirs."

Speaking to Pukk, Alosaka says, "The roltons never belonged to the reivers."

Cryheart says, "They came peacefully as refugees."

Speaking to Pukk, Alosaka says, "The shepherds were in Graendlor pasture."

Speaking to Alosaka, Pukk says, "You have never spoke to the reivers I see. They talk all about their roltons they raise. They are very protective of it."

Speaking to Alosaka, Saraphenia says, "Actually the reivers belonged to the roltons."

Speaking politely to Haidan, Tikba says, "Our councilor, Kayse, has proposed returning the roltons in exchange for peace."

Evia says, "They are not ours to give."

Speaking to Evia, Kiyna says, "They aren't, but we can try to mediate."

Tikba neutrally says, "I am sure Elidal will see the light."

Evia says, "We cannot give what is not ours."

Haidan says, "Ye do nae understan'."

Missoni says, "Surely it could be negotiated for peace."

Irval says, "Elidal will want less bloodshed."

Irval says, "Not more."

Speaking to Citan, Peche says, "I think I'm going back to the Cutlass to work on my darts. This here is over roltons.."

Irval says, "He's already stated as such."

Chamorr heartily asks, "These rolton belong to the empire????"

Haidan says, "We will take, until dey are gone."

Evia says, "Then ask Elidal, but those are not ours to give."

Dendum asks, "Err...not to be overly...um...it sounds like previous owners are dead?"

Speaking to Peche, Leifa agrees, "Idiocy."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka says, "They belonged to people."

Lylia says, "Oh, what a shame, they killed the shepherds who could have negotiated with them. How tragic to have killed the only ones who might have worked with them."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd asks, "And if they prove stronger than you? then what happens to your people?"

Haidan says, "We will win."

Speaking to Perigourd, Missoni says, "I know what happens."

Speaking politely to Haidan, Tikba asks, "Then why have you come to ask for the roltons, if you will simply take them anyway? What did you seek in this meeting?"

Saraphenia says, "You know, I'm a Queen...I could just declare that all roltons on this side of the Spines belong to me."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "Your mother thought the same."

Haidan says, "Dey are small."

Evia says, "A strange hill to die on."

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse inquires, "Son of Hagga? How many of her kin survive besides you? Do you possess her magic as well?"

Kelfyr says, "They are the small tip of a long spear."

Kayse glances meaningfully at Haidan.

Haidan says, "We seek to know yer stand."

Haidan nods at Tikba.

Haidan glances at Kayse.

Rheshay says, "Do not answer her."

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Haidan nods at Rheshay.

Speaking heartily to Haidan, Chamorr says, "Good question."

Kayse says, "By not answering you say much more."

Speaking agitatedly to Kezoku, Leifa says, "Ironically I remember having the same eye rolls as we stood before krolvin making 'deals'."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna repeats, "Were you behind those red spiders?"

Haidan says, "Da shaman."

Speaking to Leifa, Kezoku says, "At least the deals weren't over 2 roltons, this is embarrassing."

Cryheart says, "Perhaps the council and mayor can talk at a council on a way to resolve this matter."

Toxyrox says, "I'm thinkin that means "no"."

Speaking to Kiyna, Pukk asks, "Aren't you related to Talbot Dabbings?"

Speaking to Haidan, Kayse asks, "Shaman?"

Alllegiances Again

Haidan asks, "Are ye with the empire?"

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Haidan asks, "As ye are with the krol?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Xorus indifferently says something you don't understand.

Speaking firmly to Haidan, Kayse says, "No."

Cryheart says, "We are with this community."

Tikba says, "We are not with the krolvin."

Speaking to Haidan, Dendum says, ""The landing made the bay pink with Krolvin Blood."

Speaking to Pukk, Kiyna seethes, "Not. Now."

Cryheart says, "And whomevern wants to live together."

Haidan says, "Den ye releas'd their warlord."

Speaking to Haidan, Dendum reminds, ""The Haidan was nowhere to be seen during those fights.....do not seek to shame from place of shame."

Chamorr heartily says, "Answer the question, are yw with the empire."

Rheshay says, "Too many chiefs."

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Speaking drunkenly to Cryheart, Gutstorm slurs, "Ye not wit da empire?"

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Tikba amusedly says, "When you capture the krolvin warlord, you may do with them what you will."

Cryheart says, "I was born in the Empire, but I live here now."

Saraphenia declares, "Folks, if I become mayor of the Landing, this will be settled one way or the other. The town will be defended from ALL encroachments! We have been too long encroached upon by many! It's about time that we took our town and our land back for those of us that love her! I will defend Landing with my last breath and as Mayor, I WILL protect her!"

Leafiara says, "Can't speak for anyone else here, but I'm not with the Empire."

Chamorr heartily says, "Dodging the question."

Anyauma agrees with Leafiara.

Pukk says, "I'm not with the Empire either."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me wit Leafi, not like dat, but not wit da empire part."

Anyauma says, "I renounce ties to any Hive."

Dendum says, "Err...also not with the human empire...in case this was point of confusion."

Cryheart says, "I understand your claim of land you live on."

Haidan asks, "We are at war, and will not stop until dey are push'd back south. Do you stand against us going into der camps, taking our spoils?"

Cryheart asks, "And how does the other clans feel about your plan?"

Speaking heartily to Haidan, Chamorr says, "Nope, good luck."

Missoni says, "Well, I certainly do not, but I speak only for myself."

Pukk says, "This is another reason why the empire's sudden claim of land is trouble. I don't think they accounted for the reivers and their clans."

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna says, "When the krolvin attacked us, you didn't help. You were nowhere to be seen. We fought them back, we dealt with the problem in our way. Now you have an opinion on how we do our business. You'd have a say if you helped."

Missoni says, "I do, that is."

Speaking drunkenly to Haidan, Gutstorm slurs, "Ye got it all wrong, a trader came into town axin fer help. we helped dem. didnt botter axin who dey wud."

Speaking to Haidan, Alosaka says, "I think you will find many of us will protect the settlers from anyone who tries to murder them."

Rheshay points at Missoni.

Haidan asks, "Ye change mind?"

Haidan peers quizzically at Missoni.

Speaking to Haidan, Geijon says, "You can always pick to fight one of us, against you, if you wish to see th' value of this decision."

Speaking to Rheshay, Kelfyr says, "For all your talk of too many chiefs, I'm curious whether this declaration represents all of your peoples or just those under the sway of Haidan, son of Hagga."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "Some of us can't allow you to harm the settlers."

Katissa quietly asks, "What is it you really desire, Mister Haidan?"

Kelfyr asks, "Would you drag all of your peoples into your war?"

Speaking to Haidan, Missoni clarifies, "No, I misunderstood you. I would defend the settlers."

Tikba carefully asks, "As you cross the river and invade the Empire's camps, so too the Empire may cross the river and see to your villages. This is what you desire?"

Speaking heartily to Kiyna, Chamorr asks, "Answer the question councilor, are ye with the empire?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Hey....wanna grabba drink af Jahk's affer dish?"

Rheshay says, "Da people o' da Ember Vale have fully backed our great Warchief Haidan, Son of Hagga."

Pukk says, "Well with this I am going to head back to town. This is a settlement and empire issue."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka says, "It's possible to not be with the Empire, and yet still stand against murderers."

Missoni adds, "As I defended this place against Hagga."

Haidan glances at Queatus.

Haidan nods at Queatus.

Speaking to Rheshay, Kayse says, "That is not true from your own people we have heard otherwise."

Haidan whispers something to Rheshay.

Queatus nods.

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Haidan points at Queatus.

Rheshay nods.

Speaking heartily to Alosaka, Chamorr says, "The question is are you with the empire."

Kialeigh says, "Kinda hard to even discuss this without the empire here to answer these requests for roltons and the such."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka says, "You are hopelessly reductive."

Speaking heartily to Kiyna, Chamorr says, "Answer the question."

Pukk recites:

"Rejoice and be of good cheer

The empire is out there

and we are here"

Rheshay motions with her hands to Haidan, putting her palms together, then pulling them apart quickly. She does this several times.

Speaking to Kialeigh, Kelfyr says, "This is not about roltons any longer."

Haidan nods.

Irval says, "This talk is breaking down...clearly. You want the bleat bleaters. Fine. Come and take them. You obviously didnt come here to negotiate in good faith. We'll string your bodies as adornments for Gnul's head by the Abandonned Inn. SO all that come across there will see the sign we will commission that says," Here Lies Haidan Hag son. Biggest Fool of the Ember Vale" And next to that we'll string up your reiver cohort right next to you. So you can dishonor their deaths as well. And You'll be no closer to getting the area of your homeland the Krolvin took from you. Unless you wish to cease this foolishness and be fair in these talks."

Leafiara quickly says, "Irval here is neither the mayor nor a town councilor."

Irval starts to giggle loudly before calming himself.

Irval says, "I care not. This has all been posturing."

Rheshay says, "He bleats loud'r den an entire flock."

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Haidan holds his sides and lets out a rumbling belly laugh.

Speaking to Rheshay, Kiyna says, "He is not a chief."

Chamorr heartily says, "I thought it was a fair question, needing a straight answer."

Cryheart says, "We are currently a protectorate of the Empire, but we do hae our freedoms."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "If ye knew how much effort it went inta walkin dem rolton home, ye'd not gibbem up sho eashy, poor Irval nearly losht him mind lash night wit hish."

Lylia says, "Oh...oh, forgive me. That was just..."

Cryheart says, "We hae fought with Imperial armies."

Tikba mildly says, "In fact, if you kill him, I doubt we would hear many complaints."

Cryheart says, "We hae fought with krol."

Speaking to Cryheart, Saraphenia exclaims, "Listen to me, we WILL have our freedom if I am given the honor of being elected mayor!"

Kialeigh says, "Yes... Slowpoke was a pain in the behind."

Cryheart says, "We hae fought with Bregandians."

Speaking to Haidan, Lylia says, "We agree on at least one thing."

Cryheart says, "We fight with trolls and orcs."

Cryheart asks, "Is that what ye wanted to hear?"

Evia says, "We have digressed into campaigning now."

Speaking to Chamorr, Kiyna says, "I will not be taunted."

Message

Haidan says, "It is bad enough ye loos'd da krol. Caged 'em and set 'em free. We will continue our war, we will take what we need an' earn. Stand away, and ye not need tae bleed."

Speaking to Evia, Saraphenia asks, "Why not make my statement now?"

Cryheart says, "Dinnae harm the settlers who are here, and we agree."

Speaking to Haidan, Lylia says, "I took the fight to them at Glaoveln. It was glorious."

Speaking heartily to Kiyna, Chamorr says, "Not taunting, just listening for an answer to his question."

Haidan asks, "Is that easy for all yer chiefs?"

Speaking flatly to Haidan, Dendum says, ""The message is given."

Haidan asks, "Do all yer chiefs understan'?"

Speaking to Haidan, Missoni says, "See you in battle, then."

Speaking simply to Haidan, Kayse says, "That will not be the case."

Speaking to Haidan, Perigourd says, "Sadly, but yes."

Tikba says, "We will ensure they know."

Speaking to Haidan, Geijon says, "It sounds like you have chosen."

Speaking to Haidan, Leafiara assures, "We'll see to it that the mayor hears. The town council has already been here."

Lylia wryly says, "We are all chiefs, it seems."

Rheshay pushes her hands together, then pulls them apart.

Tikba adds, "Most of the council."

Rheshay nods at Haidan.

Speaking to Haidan, Kiyna says, "Very well. You've said your piece. Remember your words when you lose the conflict."

Haidan says, "Aye, I see it now."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara agrees, "Well, yes."

Haidan nods at Rheshay.

Citan deeply says, "Always .. everything lead to blood shed."

Speaking to Lylia, Toxyrox whispers aloud, "Only one Imperatrix around though."

Cryheart says, "With some cultures, that is all they know..war."

Leifa snarls, "Absolute cartwreck."

Haidan turns around.

Tikba mildly says, "Do not fear. If we capture you, no doubt we will release you as well."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Sho wut da verdict?"

Haidan marches off into the depths of the woods.

Cryheart says, "We just saw it."

Speaking to Toxyrox, Lylia says, "The work was not done at Glaoveln. But there are other matters to consider."

Rheshay says, "He does nae do well wit' so many o' ye speakin' at once."

Lylia says, "Unlike some, we do not see one move deep on the chess board."

Cryheart says, "Aye, and I agree."

Speaking to Rheshay, Kiyna says, "Tell him to make a bloody appointment next time."

Irval says, "Rheshay, you would do well to advise him aagainst further hostilities."

Kelfyr says, "He chose the wrong forum then."

Rheshay says, "If ye wish the Hatchet's ear, ye bes' do bett'r."

Speaking mildly to Rheshay, Tikba says, "It is difficult for a warchief to be surrounded by commotion and conflict, I suppose."

Rheshay glances at Barnessa.

Barnessa squints at Rheshay.

Speaking to Rheshay, Alosaka says, "I'm not sure there is anything more to discuss. We understand your position."

Speaking softly to Rheshay, Barnessa says, "I didn't do anything."

Katissa quietly asks, "And you, Miss Rheshay?"

Chamorr heartily says, "That was clear enough."

Speaking drunkenly to Rheshay, Gutstorm slurs, "We grab drink at Jahk's?"

Rheshay says, "Nev'r touch me blade again, or ye will be bent and broken to lick yer own ass."

Rheshay nods at Barnessa.

Rheshay marches off into the woods.

Discussion Afterward

Kialeigh says, "Sounds hard to heal."

Xorus says, "Now that is a reiver."

Leafiara admits, "That was a pretty good one."

Speaking softly to Gutstorm, Barnessa says, "All I ate was a sandwhich..."

Citan deeply says, "Wow... most impressive."

Speaking softly to Missoni, Perigourd says, "They're not the same clan."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "She shashy."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dendum remarks, ""Though in truth...maybe should stop leaving it laying around."

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Katissa quietly says, "Neither one had wishes nor desires."

Chamorr heartily says, "I think i shall drink tea during the next incursion."

Speaking to Kayse, Tikba sighs, "Difficult."

Cryheart says, "A different clan that stands alone."

Speaking to Tikba, Kayse says, "One word for it."

Kezoku says, "The amount of people willing to talk right to the main visitor we have, consecutively, not giving them a chance to breathe, is startling."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "I won't fault if the city reserves itself from this."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Alla bristen."

Lylia says, "If there are three of them, there are at least two clans, it seems. They lack unity."

Speaking to Barnessa, Toxyrox says, "Don't like him threatenin folks."

Lylia murmurs, "Something in common with us there, it would seem."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse asks, "What role did Cotuil have against Hagga?"

Speaking to Barnessa, Toxyrox says, "Or her...whatever..."

Dendum says, "Let us hope that unity is not needed to survive...for the sake of landing."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "Imprisoned and marked to die."

Missoni says, "She was a prisoner who we released, and then she aided in the battle against her."

Alosaka dryly says, "I admit, I'm startled by how many folks are happily willing to negotiate with the 'warchief' whose forces slew helpless shepherds."

Cryheart says, "Well...for what it's worth, we still stand."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse asks, "So she would be no assistance in handling Hagga's kin and magic they seem to possess?"

Kialeigh exclaims, "Well then!"

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "She is far removed from the clan by now."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "She was even then."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "I had hoped she might work us past the cultural differences."

Speaking softly to Toxyrox, Barnessa says, "Probably got up set I was eattin a rolton sandwhich."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "But it sounds as if we may be past that point."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leifa responds, "Indeed, while at the same time, offering up one of our citizens our of snark."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse says, "Yes. Was just curious if she knew anything that could help."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "It's possible, but unlikely."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "Katver or the elders would have known more."

Perigourd says, "But I haven't seen them in years."

Speaking to his deathstone darts, Peche says, "Time to up our game."

Speaking thoughtfully to Alosaka, Tikba says, "We killed a few dozen reivers last night. Haidan was willing to negotiate with us."

Missoni suggests, "Perhaps Dikirk?"

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka asks, "Were those reivers warriors or shepherds?"

Speaking to Kayse, Missoni says, "He might know of the magic, at least."

Cryheart says, "I thought if they would agree to meet with the mayor and council, there could be a mutual understanding, but it seems they jus came to demonstrate they only want war."

Tikba says, "They were not children."

Speaking to Missoni, Perigourd says, "That is quite possible."

Speaking to Cryheart, Evia says, "And spoils."

Speaking politely to Alosaka, Tikba asks, "Why was the pasture not guarded?"

Chamorr heartily says, "Maybe if we kept our noses out of this dispute instead of running to aid the empires settlememt barony."

Speaking to Missoni, Kayse asks, "Would you reach out to him again? Perhaps find out how many are wanting peace?"

Tikba says, "They were not the first settlers lost this week."

Speaking to Kayse, Missoni says, "Of course."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka asks, "Perhaps they were not expecting a Reiver war party?"

Maikoya says, "They might of, had there been one voice."

Regwen says, "Their take on spoils in troubling. But probably not for this night. I take my leave. Good night all."

Cryheart says, "Ye speak your mind clearly, but many hee do not agree."

Speaking dryly to Alosaka, Tikba asks, "Why not?"

Speaking to Chamorr, Leifa says, "And stand around helping reivers to mock us at our lack of organized leadership."

Speaking to Kayse, Missoni says, "Perhaps he would meet with the Council."

Speaking to Chamorr, Dendum remarks, ""Reiver did seem to offer landing chance to stand to the side....which would seem to be only position allowed since landing has no authority outisde of walls."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "If I were less courteous I might suspect you were attempting to lay blame for these murders at the feet of the dead themselves."

Evia asks, "Was the spider question answered amidst all the noise?"

Speaking evenly to Alosaka, Tikba says, "Elidal Dhenin is alive."

Speaking to Evia, Alosaka says, "I thought I heard him mention a shaman."

Speaking to Evia, Perigourd says, "I believe they mentioned the Shamans."

Leafiara says, "Their only answer to the spider thing was 'da shaman'."

Speaking heartily to Leifa, Chamorr says, "Been mocked afore, dont hurt as much as a sword."

Emissary Samfelt

[General] Samfelt thinks, "Good evening, ahhh, Gutstorm is it? I am at the camp, enjoying some blue draught at the fire here if you and any allies would like to join for a drink."

Kiyna says, "Pointedly refused to answer that question... unless "da shaman" is an answer."

Saraphenia says, "Folks...I'm going to bed."

Speaking to Alosaka, Evia says, "Oh, right."

[General] Evia thinks, "Hello Sam."

Perigourd says, "Their shamans are much like druids or Bone Witches."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Good evening to you."

Kayse says, "Samfelt is at the camp."

Speaking to Saraphenia, Leafiara exclaims, "Sleep well!"

Julenne softly says, "Night Phenia."

Cryheart asks, "Oh?"

Julenne softly says, "Sleep well."

Speaking to Chamorr, Toxyrox says, "I am certainly no supporter of the empire, but refugees and settlers need to be protected no matter where they come from."

Leafiara says, "If anyone wants to go meet with Samfelt, join Sir Cryheart or someone else."

Cryheart says, "Heading to camp."

Tikba says, "I did not direct the settlers to come with no army, no defenses, and not even warm clothing. For that you must look to Elidal."

Cryheart says, "Try now."

Cryheart says, "Heading to camp."

Speaking heartily to Toxyrox, Chamorr says, "They are not refugees, they are flying imperial flags at their camp."

Leafiara amiably wishes, "Do take care, all."

Kayse says, "I am heading to the camp."

Leifa says, "I am not going. I've had quite enough."

[travel]

[Imperial Campsite]

A roaring bonfire demands attention from the center of this temporary town, its coppery gold flames mesmerizing as they dance. Rows of tents bordering the fire create purposeful pathways to other areas of the camp. You also see the faenor Queatus disk inlaid with intersecting bands of jet, a resplendent obsidian black raven, a grizzled porcupine, a yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake, the web-draped Missoni disk, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, a lazy wild reddish-black dog, a long piece of cord, a stained wooden keg and a long wooden log.

Cryheart says, "Evening Emissary Samfelt."

Kiyna annoyedly groans, "Night like this makes me wish I did drink."

Dendum asks, "Emissary?"

Cryheart says, "Given the role by Elidal."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum remarks, ""Ahh soon people will have to rescue your children for silvers."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Shmooof."

Samfelt deeply says, "I have not heard word from Lord Elidal this evening. If he chooses to join us, he may take the time to do so. I can always pass along word to him, as his emissary."

Speaking quietly to Tikba, Alosaka asks, "You truly believe that? The reivers whose hands are stained with blood bear less responsibility for murder than Baron Elidal, because he did not anticipate a reiver war party attacking settlers with their flocks?"

Samfelt deeply asks, "There is trouble?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd continues, "It seems that part of the Reiver clan that was responsible for the loss of the shepherd last eve considers itself at war with this camp."

Samfelt frowns.

Cryheart says, "Hagga's son."

Samfelt deeply asks, "War? Again?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Kiyna says, "Yes, Samfelt. This is the Landing environs. There is always trouble."

Samfelt takes a drink from his blue Darkstone draught.

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "And intend to continue until this camp and all imperial settlers are driven away."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "Seems like one of the tribes of Reivers has declared war on your barony."

Speaking evenly to Alosaka, Tikba asks, "What is it you desire? To punish the guilty, or to protect the innocent?"

Vaemyr says, "They might of been whom was responsible for the spiders, but we didn't exactly get an answer."

Speaking to Samfelt, Lylia says, "If it helps any to know, he said from his own mouth that he was not a 'peacechief.' In other words, war is what drives him."

Samfelt deeply says, "It seems like only yesterday that we worked together to end the threat of Gnul and his minions."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "I believe we can do both."

Samfelt deeply asks, "What are your thoughts about this new foe?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "I expect that didn't make tensions easier with them either."

Samfelt takes a drink from his blue Darkstone draught.

Samfelt looks rather relaxed.

Lylia says, "They are very like the krolvin, but with different accents and hairstyles. Ah, if they only knew."

Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba says, "A baron must have an army. Elidal has spent coin he does not have, from our pockets."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "They sound convicted."

Chamorr heartily asks, "Foe?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum remarks, ""Will probably not grow to the size of a small mountain so thre is that."

Xorus says, "Reivers are land pirates."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Everyone grappa drink, Samfelt buyin."

Samfelt deeply asks, "Are they not an enemy, if they declared war?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "Frustrating, I think sums up my thoughts."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Funny, he said the same thing about you."

Speaking to Lylia, Toxyrox says, "I hunt em both every day...cannot tell much difference."

Samfelt frowns at Chamorr.

Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba asks, "Haidan has offered us the chance to protect the Landing from war. Is it not your duty to defend the Landing from danger?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Geijon look losht."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "My oath is to defend the Landing and aid those whose cause is just. It is entirely a personal foible that I detest murderers."

Samfelt deeply asks, "I don't believe we have acted aggressively towards any of these reivers. Why do they attack our people?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Queatus says, "They feel threatened by the taking of lands by the Empire."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum says, ""You push where you are not wanted."

Samfelt takes a drink from his blue Darkstone draught.

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "They shay we shtole sheep."

Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba says, "I fear the Landing is in need of defense."

Irval says, "They say you took their roltons. And they will continue to push and take from you until you leave."

Citan deeply says, "Yeah... the reivers .. seemed a bit.. well one sided.. and that side was war."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Vaemyr says, "Well, they technically stole them first."

Lylia says, "I fear they see your presence as a kind of assault."

Cryheart says, "Not all feel that way, Samfelt."

Speaking deeply to Gutstorm, Samfelt asks, "Does it taste different than any of the other draughts? Or do they all sort of blur together on the tongue now?"

Dendum says, "No just the endless train of those trying to kill you."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "Understand that if we choose to shield the settlers from harm, the reivers will attack the Landing. Not our warriors. Our civilians. Townspeople will be in danger. I'm not saying we should not, but we should choose to do so carefully."

Cryheart says, "Not all Reivers..but the son of Hagga's clan."

Speaking to Samfelt, Missoni says, "Dikirk of the peaceful faction on Luienne Bheinn has said they need little excuse to attack, unfortunately."

Speaking drunkenly to Samfelt, Gutstorm slurs, "Dish one got joopiner in it, it diffrent."

Speaking to Cryheart, Perigourd says, "They called themselves the clan of the Ember Valley."

Samfelt deeply asks, "It seems they have been looking for a fight then?"

Samfelt deeply says, "Unfortunate."

Speaking to Kiyna, Alosaka says, "I understand the dilemma, and I appreciate your words with the warchief."

Cryheart says, "Aye..for ages, they hae been set on war."

Cryheart says, "That specific clan."

Kelfyr says, "And now they've found an excuse to rally around."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me think dey nook fer exshcoosh to make war sho we kin nook like da bad people."

Samfelt deeply says, "Some of you seem hesitant to face this foe."

Cryheart says, "So ye might warn the settlers to be vigil and stay close to the camp."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "Understand that if we choose to shield the settlers from harm, the reivers will attack the Landing. Not our warriors. Our civilians. Townspeople will be in danger. I'm not saying we should not, but we should choose to do so carefully."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr asks, "So have you managed to find a suitable captain?" [he comes back to this much later]

Speaking mildly to Samfelt, Tikba says, "War is dangerous."

Samfelt deeply says, "Or refuse to call them one."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Some of us did much to save their clan many years ago.."

Chamorr heartily says, "If the landing gets involved attacking the reivers, it should expect retaliation."

Chamorr heartily says, "I will sit this one out."

Speaking to Samfelt, Alosaka says, "We have spoken with them. We know them now. They are a proud, angry people who do not understand the difference between murder and war. If we let them they will kill your people, your children, and they will call it a grand victory."

Cryheart says, "I would say we tried to direct them to a parlay, but at the end they were faced down."

Samfelt deeply says, "Past alliances. But you said that there is more than one group of these reivers."

Irval says, "Yes this was a clan from the Ember Vale."

Irval says, "Not of the Mountain of Melody."

Speaking to Samfelt, Mourdeyan says, "Not it atall Samfelt, some feel a kinship for the reivers."

Speaking to Samfelt, Missoni says, "The group who lives on the mountain still considers themselves our allies, it seems."

Speaking to Samfelt, Geijon says, "This warchief seemed to want to accept suffering for th' chance of glory that seems like an insurmountable excursion and futile."

Cryheart says, "They were informed that we would, well not all did agree, protect the settlers."

Geijon says, "So we will suffer to fight them."

Kiyna offers, "What we should do is contact the other clans of reivers, and try to get them to hold their own back, as it were."

Samfelt deeply says, "I'm still learning about the environs, and who lives where. Perhaps if I had more knowledge of the landmarks I could talk with our people to help them avoid any incidents in the future."

Speaking to Kiyna, Kayse says, "Missoni is handling that."

Speaking to Kiyna, Perigourd says, "Dikirk has been doing just that."

Speaking to Samfelt, Geijon says, "It is not hesitancy to try to avoid bloodshed."

Kayse says, "Considering her relationship with them."

Samfelt turns to face Dendum.

Speaking to Kiyna, Perigourd says, "I only wish he'd had more sway."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "I see you have soilders."

Mourdeyan says, "Has aught t'do wit willingness to engage."

Citan deeply says, "I dolook."

Kiyna says, "I'm glad such things are already in motion... what the Ember Vale does will reflect on the other reivers. Surely they will be against this."

Cryheart says, "The Landing has soldiers as well."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka asks, "Odd the reivers didn't attack them, isn't it?"

Speaking deeply to Dendum, Samfelt says, "I have no quarrel with you. Yet, you seem to believe I am not an ally to the people here."

Alosaka says, "Of course, soldiers can fight back. Shepherds, not so much."

Speaking to Kiyna, Perigourd says, "The last time was also split between them."

Samfelt takes a drink from his blue Darkstone draught.

Samfelt looks rather relaxed.

Speaking to Kiyna, Perigourd says, "Hagga's kin seem to have a penchant for driving a wedge between their own people."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum says, ""The further south you stay from the River Lockmehr the less likely any are to accidently run into a Reiver....of course if they come to hunt you...this would be good for the people."

Dendum shrugs at Samfelt.

Speaking mildly to Samfelt, Tikba says, "It is not personal. Dendum feels many people should not be here."

Cryheart asks, "Good for which peopls?"

Samfelt deeply asks, "Have they made it clear that they will be invading beyond this river?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum corrects, "Would not be good for the people."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "They said north and south."

Speaking to Samfelt, Kiyna says, "Yes."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "Yes."

Speaking to Samfelt, Missoni says, "They already have."

Samfelt sighs.

Samfelt deeply says, "So any chance at peace is gone."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum says, ""You can avoid angering the other tribes still though."

Speaking to Dendum, Geijon asks, "Solhaven distance is safe?"

Mourdeyan says, "Profile dendum'."

Speaking heartily to Cryheart, Chamorr says, "When did they change from being settlers and reugees to an armed encampment."

Samfelt deeply says, "We will need to fortify the campsite then."

Kelfyr says, "With that clan, potentially, but perhaps not with the whole of their peoples."

Speaking to Samfelt, Irval says, "They never were serious about peace as I gather it. Not this clan at least."

Speaking to Samfelt, Kiyna says, "Not... any chance... however, you should definitely fortify the camp. Expect the worst."

Speaking deeply to Vaemyr, Samfelt says, "I have not heard from any captains. To answer your earlier question."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum asks, ""You already built walls and towers....and have pylon...what else is there to do with fortifying? Gather food?"

Tikba carefully says, "You must be prepared to defend yourselves."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Perhaps ya has a quarell if me, i dont think you and this barony belong here at all."

Speaking to Samfelt, Kiyna says, "We will see if we can get their own to stop them."

Tikba says, "The Dragonclaw has never been safe."

Geijon says, "I always figured th' Deadfall was kind of th' true barrier of concern."

Two young children chase each other in a nearby field, throwing canvas-wrapped balls as they run, trying to strike each other before disappearing further into the campsite. [ambient message]

Tikba corrects, "Dragonsclaw."

Citan deeply says, "The reievers have a bone to pick with everyone.. .Heck they don't even like each other."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd asks, "How is the camp set for arms?"

Samfelt glances at the two children playing nearby.

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum offers, ""We could hold the young and very old in safer places..."

Samfelt deeply says, "There's more at stake here than winning a battle. People have exhausted their options to seek a new life in the frontier."

Speaking to Chamorr, Geijon says, "Most are for common sense by th' by. No one answer encompasses everything."

Samfelt deeply says, "I am just one of those people."

Geijon says, "Much as someone wants it."

Lylia says, "A camp becomes an armed camp, and then a fortress, because it must. Otherwise, it is no longer a camp at all but merely a flattened clearing in the grass that smells faintly of ash and spoiled meat."

Kelfyr says, "To be fair, these are not new warnings. This is the sort of trouble folks have been warning of since the annexation and the arrival of settlers."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "Curious, what do you think about the people who've come here, versus say settling in Vornavis... you said you were from there originally right? What did make you want to move to the frontier."

Lylia says, "It would not have been my choice. But that choice was removed from my hands seven years ago. Or so."

Samfelt deeply asks, "Those warnings must have been lost in the chaos of battle, when you all helped fight Gnul. What makes this different?"

Citan deeply asks, "Exactly.. Just like us.. trying to make in the free frontier.. Why can't this settlement live free in the frontier like us...Why must so much hate be thrown at them....?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum reminds, ""Gnul did not offer the landing the option to stand aside in peace...."

Tikba says, "Gnul wished to conquer the Landing."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Actually, i was rooting fer Gnul."

Kelfyr says, "They were made before then, and loudly since then. Your position now as Emissary just requires you to hear them clearly."

Speaking deeply to Chamorr, Samfelt asks, "Are you declaring yourself an enemy of Darkstone, then?"

Samfelt stands up.

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Gnuls attacks were fiarly direct, but we've already seen some subterfuge being attempted, if they were indeed responsible for the spiders."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Well, when ya put it that way, yes."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum says, ""Do not make an enemy of organizations you do not even know by acting the fool."

Tikba carefully says, "Wehnimer's Landing is always happy to accept those who need protection behind its walls."

Speaking to Dendum, Alosaka asks, "He's the making enemies?"

Tikba says, "The Landing is a free city."

Samfelt deeply says, "I would ask that you leave this camp, if you intend to support those who declare war on us."

Speaking drunkenly to Chamorr, Gutstorm slurs, "Have drink, it make ye feel toashty inshide."

Rbedyr just arrived.

Rbedyr blinks.

Rbedyr says, "Hello. Friends."

Speaking to Missoni, Perigourd says, "Her magic was the greatest danger.."

Missoni greets, "Rbedyr."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Til now just expressing opinons, but you have put the word enemy out there."

Rbedyr says, "I am."

Rbedyr smiles at Missoni.

Speaking to Rbedyr, Missoni says, "Fair eve."

Rbedyr waves to Samfelt.

Cryheart says, "Evening Rbedyr."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka observes, "You have been quite vocal about wishing for the death of the settlers here."

Rbedyr nods at Cryheart.

Rbedyr smiles.

Rbedyr waves to Lylia.

Speaking to Rbedyr, Vaemyr asks, "I hope you've been well?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Rbedyr says, "This is a lot of people."

Speaking heartily to Alosaka, Chamorr says, "Dont want them to die, just go away."

Speaking to Chamorr, Perigourd says, "They just want to live in peace, as everyone else."

Perigourd asks, "Why is that so hard to grant?"

Samfelt deeply says, "I have no intention of engaging in hostilities with any of you, but I have enough integrity not to be insulted by those who would see harm come to us."

Citan deeply says, "Indeed..."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka says, "I recall more... violent rhetoric."

Speaking to Chamorr, Alosaka says, "Don't go soft now."

Speaking to Perigourd, Queatus asks, "Peace? Is that what they've brought with them here?"

Speaking heartily to Perigourd, Chamorr says, "They want to usurp all this land and make it a brony of the empire, be real."

Tikba mildly says, "I am happy to agree that those who rooted for Gnul may prefer camping with Gnul."

Queatus says, "I've seen a lot of death."

Tikba says, "You may find him outside the Abandoned Inn."

Speaking to Samfelt, Evia says, "I wish it was polite to give you a hug, but that would be intruding."

Tikba says, "He may not be good company."

Speaking to Tikba, Kelfyr says, "Quieter, these days."

Speaking deeply to Queatus, Citan says, "Yes it was.. It's not their fault others don't want them here."

Cryheart says, "We are real to our own selves."

Perigourd says, "The Landing is quite more dangerous as is regularly stated in an attempt to dissuade them than many baronies I've visited."

Samfelt deeply asks, "You said there are some of these reivers who do not wish to go to war?"

Speaking to Kelfyr, Missoni says, "The sort of fellow you can really lean on, though."

Speaking to Citan, Dendum says, ""This is kind of what happens when you pick random spot and say this is mine...."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "There is a clan that is peaceful."

Perigourd says, "But they're still willing to come and try to make a life for themselves."

Perigourd says, "Just like all thatl ive here."

Speaking to Samfelt, Lylia says, "Some seemed reluctant, yes."

Citan deeply asks, "Is that not what most settlement are?"

Speaking heartily to Perigourd, Chamorr says, "At least i dont have to bow to my leige lord in the landing."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Those that followed Dikirk will likely be peacable."

Cryheart says, "That is your choice."

Speaking to Citan, Alosaka asks, "How do you imagine he thinks the Landing was founded?"

Speaking to Citan, Dendum remarks, ""Do not know....would you accept Krolvin settlement or Orc settlement?"

Alosaka asks, "It bloomed from a flower, perhaps? Dropped here by a bird?"

Samfelt deeply asks, "Dikirk is the name of the reiver who wishes peace?"

Speaking to Chamorr, Geijon asks, "Why do you keep trying to manifest ghost and apparations where they aren't real?"

Citan deeply asks, "Well orc and krovlin.. wish our demise.. I don't here this settlement crying for Landing's death do you?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Dendum asks, ""How many Grimswarm settlements has Alosaka burned to the ground?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia says, "It sprouted like a fairy ring, and as it grew outward and upward, the town's gates were formed. Peacefully, naturally, in harmony with all things."

Tikba says, "He claimed to represent a group of reivers."

Speaking clearly to Dendum, Alosaka says, "Dozens."

Speaking thoughtfully to Samfelt, Missoni asks, "Would you wish to meet with him, as Lord Elidal's emissary?"

Speaking heartily to Geijon, Chamorr asks, "Is this barony a ghost?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Kelfyr says, "Rone wasn't seeking to extend an Empire, but to escape the swell of one."

Samfelt deeply asks, "Do you believe it would be worthwhile to meet with this Dikirk, if you were in my boots?"

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Yes. They could prove helpful."

Julenne softly says, "If they wanted peace, they would have came in peace. They came to get us ready for battle between ourselves and others. If they wish war, let's shut them up in war."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "They may have insight into what attacks may come as well."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "I do, if you wish an escort we could provide as well."

Tikba diplomatically says, "It would be wise for someone from Darkstone to meet with him, to be sure."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Meet with him, perhaps negotiations of land to disuade violence."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "See you are already taking to your "Emissary title."

Samfelt deeply says, "My only reservation is that if I were to go to their lands, it could be seen as a further act of war."

Kelfyr says, "Dikirk has come south of the river before."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum says, ""The Dikirk has tried coming south of the river to speak before."

Cryheart says, "Then send an invitation of notice."

Evia says, "A neutral space perhaps."

Irval says, "Neautral location."

Speaking regretfully to Samfelt, Alosaka says, "I fear we're past that point."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Dikirk has been known to travel to the Dragonsclaw."

Samfelt deeply asks, "Would this Dikirk be willing to meet somewhere else?"

Perigourd says, "Though it will be dangerous for him."

Samfelt nods.

Tikba says, "Dikirk has come to our gates before."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "A neutral spot, like the AI maybe."

Samfelt deeply says, "Perhaps if you could find him, and see if he would be willing to parlay."

Speaking to Perigourd, Missoni says, "Perhaps you could set up a protective campfire for them."

Irval asks, "Do you have a missive you would wish to send?"

Irval asks, "Or merely words spoken?"

Rbedyr asks, "Is my niece safe?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Missoni says, "I had already planned to write him."

Samfelt deeply says, "I need to see about finding a captain. Time is already growing short in regards to organizing the voyage to Brisker's Cove."

Missoni adds, "On the Councilor's suggestion."

Citan deeply asks, "Can Landing representatives be a liaison of sorts for these talks?"

Perigourd whispers something to Rbedyr.

Rbedyr nods at Perigourd.

Speaking to Samfelt, Irval says, "So many things to do yet so little time."

Samfelt deeply says, "I believe it would be best just to let this Dirkirk know we are attempting to find a better resolution than war."

Kiyna proudly states, "For my own part, I am not an imperial citizen. I do not bow to an Emperor. But I, for one, won't let veteran warriors cut down farmhands and shepherds right before my eyes."

Geijon says, "We offered every avenue, Samfelt. He refused."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "We can probably get a message to him at the church there too."

Samfelt deeply says, "Perhaps he can help in any negotiations to maintain peace with the other reivers, as you say."

Samfelt deeply says, "We would not want the others joining the war against us, if it can be prevented."

Julenne softly says, "I think there too many folks who have a say sometimes, can get rather confusing listening to all."

Samfelt deeply says, "But it does seem war is inevitable."

Speaking to Tikba, Lylia says, "I do not even understand how that is a controversial statement, but...well. It certainly seems to be."

Speaking to Geijon, Vaemyr says, "Well... not really, half the people were too busy cheering war, and then another quarter were too busy threatening them."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Im neutral."

Samfelt nods slowly at Chamorr.

Speaking to Geijon, Vaemyr says, "So there wasn't really any negotiation to start with."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Geijon says, "I saw no such slant cheering war. I must disagree."

Speaking to Lylia, Alosaka says, "In fallen times, even small sparks of light can shine brightly."

Evia says, "Missoni and Perigourd seem to have a good handle on contact, and can perhaps help Sam get the message delivered."

Rbedyr asks, "More war?"

Speaking to Samfelt, Irval says, "THe frontier is a place of beauty . But like most beautiful things. They are often deadly."

Rbedyr paces back and forth.

Speaking to Geijon, Lylia says, "You must have missed the ill-timed jests about joining Gnul's side of the hostilities."

Speaking to Rbedyr, Perigourd says, "As I said."

Speaking deeply to Chamorr, Samfelt says, "I hope, someday, you will see that we can bring prosperity to these lands."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "Try an talk though."

Speaking lightly to Lylia, Tikba says, "We must hope they were jests."

Kialeigh says, "Dangerous..."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "I didn't get the impression they were jests."

Samfelt deeply says, "Has anyone had any success in contacting a suitable captain? If need be, we can take smaller ships."

Speaking to Tikba, Lylia replies, "If they were not, surely we would cast more than harsh looks at some people, yes? There would be consequences for such ugly words."

Alosaka says, "Lord Chamorr seems quite sincere in his beliefs."

Speaking heartily to Samfelt, Chamorr says, "At what cost, prosperity in exchanfe for freedom/."

Evia says, "One said one was cheering for gnul, not much funny in that."

Lylia noncommittally says, "I sometimes have such a poor grasp of Common that humor eludes me."

Speaking amusedly to Lylia, Tikba says, "I fear I have a similar difficulty some days."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "Am i laughing."

Alosaka dryly says, "Perhaps we can recover the skulls of these shepherds and present them to Lord Chamorr as trophies."

Lylia adds, "Also, I am Faendryl and therefore without humor."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "I spoke with one but he wasn't quite sure yet."

Speaking carefully to Samfelt, Tikba says, "You must ensure that Elidal knows that he cannot allow the settlers to go about unguarded."

Speaking drunkenly to Samfelt, Gutstorm slurs, "Why not we bill our own boat, we gotta whole forsht of boat partsh waiting to be shembled."

Gutstorm taps Samfelt lightly on his shoulder.

Speaking to Chamorr, Lylia asks, "You are not laughing, I can see. So you were not in jest when you said you favored Gnul's side?"

Samfelt nods at Tikba.

Tikba says, "In Commander Sablo's absence, perhaps some of the Gryphons may aid in devising defensive plans."

Xorus says, "Faendryl humor falls so flat it sinks."

Samfelt deeply says, "This is a concern I will make clear."

Speaking to Xorus, Lylia asks, "Like Ta'Ashrim?"

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "I understood his position."

Cryheart says, "I sent out a note regarding ships and captains."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "We would be happy to continue doing so."

Samfelt nods.

Speaking in Faendryl, Toxyrox asks something you don't understand.

Samfelt deeply says, "I would like to make the voyage in one week's time, at an earlier hour than now."

Tikba says, "Good night, my friends."

Speaking to Samfelt, Geijon asks, "When do you plan to depart?"

Speaking to Tikba, Lylia says, "It is always good to see you."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Knowing the preferred bell would be useful so the Captains can adjust their sailing schedules."

Speaking to Tikba, Missoni says, "Rest well."

Speaking to Samfelt, Rbedyr asks, "I fight. I go?"

Cryheart says, "Next Feastday, an hour earlier than now."

Samfelt deeply says, "It would be a week from now, when we are to sail."

Samfelt nods.

Evia says, "Oh my, that is so soon."

Samfelt deeply says, "Not an hour earlier. Perhaps during the day."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "I didn't have a chance to Speak with Jaysehn, but I think I can arrange passage on his Frigate for you, otherwise I potentally have a backup as well."

Samfelt deeply says, "I will adjust as needed for the captain, but it would need to be that day."

Alosaka quietly says, "Be safe, friends."

Samfelt deeply says, "I have no other priorities given to me by Lord Elidal."

Speaking to Samfelt, Dendum offers, ""Perhaps after speaking about the Reivers you might?"

Samfelt deeply says, "Perhaps."

Samfelt deeply says, "Lord Elidal may ask for those better armed than myself to guard the camp."

Rbedyr glances at Samfelt.

Samfelt scratches his ear.

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Khoal gotta Man'owar and him hang out here a bit, we should axe'em, him shay him besht captain acorsh all da landsh."

Samfelt deeply says, "I'll will go speak with Lord Elidal, if possible, this very moment. If you could find some time to meet with this Dikirk, I would appreciate it."

Evia says, "Well, time is fleeting, thats for certain."

Missoni says, "I am sure it can be done."

Speaking drunkenly to Dendum, Gutstorm slurs, "If da pay ish right..."

Citan deeply says, "Khoal does have a massive ship."

Samfelt deeply says, "I will meet with them, in a place of their choosing, if it sets their nerves at ease."

Citan deeply says, "And him is a great captain."

Falvicar whispers something to Roelon.

Samfelt nods.

Lylia says, "I admire your resolve in doing so, but I doubt it will."

Samfelt removes a sharply-honed veil iron short sword from in his leather scabbard.

Rbedyr says, "OK."

Julenne softly says, "Nice sword."

Samfelt deeply says, "You gave me this blade. I would hope that I don't need to use it against those who have decided to take the wrong side in this coming war."

Kialeigh says, "Don't let Barnessa see it."

Lylia says, "Not to be gloomy about it, but...well. We have seen how well appeals to rational thought go with others. Reivers are, if anything, less likely to be complaisant."

Rbedyr smiles.

Rbedyr asks, "People go with Samfelt?"

Speaking deeply to himself, Samfelt says, "Is there ever a right side."

Samfelt mutters under his breath.

Emissary Samfelt just went west.

Lylia says, "Yes, soon."

Rbedyr smiles.

Chamorr heartily asks, "Scuseme?"

Kialeigh says, "If she sees it, she'll wanna touch it.. and if she touches it.. we'll end up having to heal her.. and if we have to heal her.. we'll end up having to deal with war.."

Irval says, "Gave it to you to protect yourself and yours. Regardless."

Falvicar says, "There's a right side and a left side."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Da girly reiver, she hawt, inna nashty way."

Rbedyr says, "That is good. Thank you."

Rbedyr smiles at Lylia.

Speaking to Rbedyr, Missoni says, "We will do our best to ensure he is safe."

Speaking to Falvicar, Lylia says, "I have a different saying. There is my way, and then all the many wrong ways."

Gutstorm offers Rbedyr a charm-laden knitted smoky umber tartan blanket.

Rbedyr says, "OK."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Fer yoo Neice."

Rbedyr accepts Gutstorm's tartan blanket.

Chamorr heartily says, "That was fun, huh."

Rbedyr rubs a charm-laden knitted smoky umber tartan blanket in his hand.

Gutstorm grunts happily, grinning.

Speaking to Gutstorm, Rbedyr says, "This very nice."

Rbedyr says, "Keep us safe and warm."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "She kin wear it like cape."

Vaemyr says, "Looks quite soft."

Speaking to Chamorr, Dendum admits, ""Was better than a council meeting!"

Rbedyr bows to Gutstorm.

Vaemyr says, "And warm."

Lylia says, "Yes, that is a very fine blanket."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Dendum says, ""Err...not that those are not also enjoyable things..."

Rbedyr says, "Hope you all well Friends. Goodbye."

Rbedyr smiles.

Speaking to Rbedyr, Perigourd says, "Keep safe."

Rbedyr waves to Perigourd.

Rbedyr nods.

Speaking to Irval, Kialeigh asks, "Wouldn't it be horrible if he had to kill someone with the weapon you gave him?"

Rbedyr just went west.
