ODE TO A SLAVE

Encircled upon a graceful neck

For my pleasure I did bedeck

Upon a slender silver chain

By my will, I did detain

She never thinks to betray

For I am predator, and she – prey

How easily she was to ensnare

Sliding fingers through her golden hair

As I gazed into her eyes

I knew I had claimed her as my prize

For she, a simple delicate flower

Had never understood the touch of power
