Show:
Illustrated with a bird's-eye view of a jousting arena, the card depicts two horses bearing lance-wielding riders galloping towards each other, their ears pinned back and tails flying. Wooden stands filled with crowds of people waving colorful pennants cheer on the riders. A bright white unicorn canters across a cobalt-painted banner at the top of the card. At the bottom, a silver dragon blazes across a plum banner, a trail of smoke and fire in its wake.
Read:
In the Common language, it reads:
The Grand Tournament, 5122
Analyze:
A talented merchant can alter the card, though only the Common language can be used for lettering.

A close look at this card makes it clear that it can be added to a book that holds and paints pictures of its own. If you put it in that kind of album, then when you remove it, the base of the card will show as "a painted card," though the actual paint and lettering will retain their original quality.

If you have any kind of "quill", you can use it with the card to WRITE. You can also try to CLEAN and TOUCH the card. If you want to completely destroy it, TEAR it up!

Any talented merchant can work on a white cotton cloth, but it must remain a cloth of some type.

You can RUB the cloth to clean off your face. It works especially well if you have paint on it!

In the wicker bin you see: a coney and tortoise inked card, a straw-maned white horse mask, a fluffy white coney mask with pink velvet lined ears and a sharp-beaked tortoise mask textured with bits of moss.

a coney and tortoise inked card Weight: <1 pound
analyze

If you want to completely destroy it, TEAR it up!

a canvas-draped stall, [Map Room A], Lich# 28033, go stall

[Fanfare - 28035]
A hastily constructed open-air stall is draped with a sunbleached canvas awning, providing a small swath of protection from the elements. Along the front of the stall, open wooden crates are turned facing toward the road to give passersby a preview of the merchandise on offer. An old wine barrel sits at the end of a long counter along the back wall, upon which a fuzzy white kitten has taken up residence in a woven reed basket filled with scraps of cloth.
