Resist Elements creates an area of near-constant temperature around the target, conferring a +15 bonus to fire, ice, steam, and electrical bolt defensive strength (DS). It also provides a bonus to resisting damage caused by inclement weather conditions (e.g. Icemule Trace, Underground Lake outside the Monastery) and lessens the damage caused by elementally-based maneuver attacks, if hit.
The spell also provides a small chance to avoid taking damage from dead Elemental creatures that cause damage on SEARCH or LOOT actions.
Lore Benefits
Training in Spiritual Lore, Blessings provides an extra +1 fire, ice, and electrical bolt DS per seed 5 summation of ranks. It also increases the protection received from damage caused by extreme weather.
