Silvergate Inn hosted a meet and greet with the candidates for mayor of Wehnimer's Landing, [[Lylia]] and [[Leafiara]]... But it was no mere question and answer session!  After taking questions from the audience, the two candidates faced off in a contest of trivia, the wheel of fate, and a candidate pirate war! House Seer [[Rovvigen]], House Cleric [[Mikalmas]] and Soubrette [[Soliere]] were kind enough to serve as gracious and lively hosts and judges for the event. 


=Introduction=

[Silvergate Inn, Tea Room]
Tiny, colorful songbirds and magnificent honeysuckle vines on hand-painted white silk wall coverings reach up to the high, coffered ceiling.  Lit crystal-shaded golden oil lamps rest on tables scattered around the plush green carpet.  Overstuffed armchairs circle each table.  A tall leaded glass window offering a view of a bustling courtyard neatly frames a wide bench seat with pale golden silk cushions.  Opposite the window is a tray-covered pearwood sideboard.  You also see a marble-topped pearwood counter with some stuff on it and a carved pearwood tea cabinet.

Quivering with rage, the red pirate ship's quartermaster calls out to the other ship, "Surrender or die, ye barnacle-bottomed, scabby sea bass!"

Mikalmas nods to the boathouse's steward, who yells a command to the crew within.  The uniformed crew sails out of the petite boathouse in small barges.  They hook onto both pirate ships and swiftly tow them back into the safety of the petite boathouse.  The young halfling steward climbs down out of the crow's nest and slams the boathouse doors shut!

Leafiara grins crookedly.
