A smaller relative of the basilisk, the cockatrice has a serpentine body, with feathered head, wings, and legs. Having the cold, freezing gaze of its larger cousin, the cockatrice should not be treated lightly. The Snowy cockatrice has the ability to look at you during combat, which causes you to spin away from the melee and suffer a six second RT.

Like its cousins the cockatrice and the plumed cockatrice, the snowy cockatrice has a staring attack which may immobilize, calm, or depress an opponent. Remaining in offensive stance may mitigate the effects of the attack.
