Stalwart Resilience (official name), deemed by players as bubble flares, is a type of specialty flare applied to weapons, runestaves, or UAC gear that bestows damage padding to the wielder when the flare activates. The padding effect will last 60 seconds but can be refreshed if the weapon were to flare again within that time window. It stacks with any padding on the wielder's armor.

Stalwart Resilience was released at Ebon Gate 2008 by the merchant Slawgruf and was described as "being similar to stone skin," and was also available at Return to Coraesine Field. The service has been done in varying levels of padding, including heavy, very heavy, and masterful. When the service has been done at a phenomenal level of padding it has been referred to as "super bubble flares," and the messaging is different.

In May 2018, after Commencement of Coraesine Forest, the script was updated to indicate the level of padding provided in the loresong.

The messaging on the activation differs slightly between the two levels, and is one way to distinguish them.

Regular Bubble Flares

In action during combat:

You swing a notch-bladed vultite francisca at a massive troll king!
 AS: +454 vs DS: +247 with AvD: +32 + d100 roll: +20 = +259
... and hit for 95 points of damage!
  Awesome shot collapses a lung!
** Your francisca resonates with a high-pitched sound and causes your skin and muscles to tighten! **
Roundtime: 5 sec.

Super Bubble Flares

As you rub your axe, it gives off a high-pitched sound and begins to rapidly vibrate for a moment.

In action during combat:

You swing an ora-studded lacquered tetsubo at a lesser orc!
 AS: +123 vs DS: +73 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +32 = +120
... and hit for 16 points of damage!
  Bones in right arm crack.
** Your tetsubo resonates with an '''extremely''' high-pitched sound and causes your skin and muscles to harden! **
Roundtime: 5 sec.
