Symbol of Transcendence

Step 12

The Symbol of Transcendence, governed by Lady Lumnis, is obtained at the twelfth step of the Order of Voln. This symbol will allow the player to step into the space between the corporeal and ethereal realms for 30 seconds. While in this state, players will take damage as if they were an incorporeal creature (i.e. critical wounds will be much harder to inflict upon them and combat maneuvers will be harder to land on them). After this symbol's duration expires, there is a 3 minute hard cooldown period where the symbol cannot be reactivated.

This symbol may also be invoked while the player is stunned, webbed, bound, or in RT, in which case the cooldown period is 10 minutes. It is important to note that the use of this symbol does not remove the negative status effect. Additionally, when used during this 'emergency' situation, symbol activation must be CONFIRMed. This confirmation requirement can be preset with an on/off toggle (See SYMBOL OF TRANSCENDENCE TOGGLE while in game to set the desired option).

The SPELL ACIVE command will display the remaining cooldown duration.

With difficulty, you manage to will yourself into the space between the corporeal and ethereal realms.

Wearing off:

You feel yourself being pulled back fully into the corporeal realm.

Cooldown ending:

You feel ready to challenge the grasp of the corporeal realm once more.

Favor Cost

Favor cost is based on the member's level. See Table for specific examples. It's relative cost is 6x Symbol of Protection. In other words, 1 use of Symbol of Transcendence uses the same favor as 6 activations of Symbol of Protection.

Favor Required to Obtain Symbol of Transcendence

Formula: 1100 + (( level2 × 20 ) ÷ 3 )

Ex. level 10 member: 1100 + ((10 × 10 × 20) ÷ 3) = 1766 favor

Ex. level 20 member: 1100 + ((20 × 20 × 20) ÷ 3) = 3766 favor
