What is happening to this page is exactly the purpose for the Research pages. I come to this page and I have no idea what is official and what is player research because you have gone through and mixed it all in. By "realm" I think you mean "sphere". It also rambles and repeats quite a bit. VANKRASN39 (talk) 16:37, 11 December 2017 (CST)

The extent of "official" feedback is Estild's comment that the observed lower mana cost at casting MAY be a bug, but if so it was of such long standing (10+ years) that it was going to be considered to be working as intended. All of the other numbers have been player-confirmed; some were just checked recently (like when I realized that the Test server was open, so I could determine whether it was +50 mana or +50%), but they're solid. I have been nattering at the GMs in the Bard topic for a half-dozen years for more complete/updated information--and updated mechanics, since changes from the ELR--but have seen neither changes nor info.
There isn't a great deal of 'research' involved in observing "58 Songs == -29 TD effect" compared to "20 Songs == -10 TD effect"; the conclusion has been drawn that it's -1 TD per 2 Songs known.
With that being said--and the Test server open--I am perfectly willing to spend some time this weekend Unraveling a squillion spells of different levels to see what the changes in TD and mana cost turn out to be (Targeting versus Champion's Might versus Spirit Barrier); THAT is actual research.
I am perfectly willing to change 'realm' to 'sphere'; that is probably RoleMaster legacy terminology polluting my writing.
If you can find a less convoluted way of delineating the myriad of ways in which this one is even stranger than the "normal" BardSongs, by all means, change it to that. :) KRAKII (talk) 08:12, 12 December 2017 (CST)
