Famous Elves

Well, with the regard to the present names, we could change it to "Founders". But you'd need to create a new line for all other famous elves. "Well Known" is an option, as well. On the official race pages, they use the term "Famous <race." I'm ambivalent towards 'famous' myself, but not sure what else would work as well. Rail 17:02, 30 November 2006 (EST)

Thanks for the idea. I'm not terribly excited that the only people on the famous elves template are the founders of the houses. I guess "Famous <race>" is fine, but hmmmm... I'm also not totally thrilled with having the template link to non-existent pages, but that's just... Yeah. I know pretty much NOTHING about history in GS, but maybe something like on the elves template we'd have "Founders" for each of the people that is there, and an "Other Famous Elves" line. But then it's not totally clear how well that would translate to other races. Faendryl would have a "Patriarchs" line, but then that would be in the "Dark Elf" race, and that's pretty weird. I'll keep thinking. justin talk 17:13, 30 November 2006 (EST)
I don't see any need to separate the founders from other well known or famous elves. Oliver Talk 17:34, 30 November 2006 (EST)

My main concern there was that there would just be a LOT in that case, and I'd not envisioned having more than 10 per 'line', but yeah. I think that categorizing to cut down on information overload is good. justin talk 18:13, 30 November 2006 (EST)
One thing, I actually like seeing links to non-existent pages. Why? Its a wonderful inspiration to make them. Concerning the topics (the founding elves), there's no excuse for them not to have a page. Same holds true for the Arkati, we have half the Liabo and only about two thirds of Lornon represented. But er, I babble on... Rail 22:09, 30 November 2006 (EST)

Yes you're right, it is good motivation. Let's keep 'em coming! justin talk 00:19, 1 December 2006 (EST)
